A word from The Harrison
Opened by Jimmy Bradley in October 2001, this Tribeca favorite is a restaurant remarkably in tune with its neighborhood and the city at large. Featuring seasonal contemporary American cuisine from Chef Bradley and Executive Chef Ari Bokovza, and sincere hospitality in a handsome and casually elegant setting, The Harrison instantly makes you feel like you’ve come home. The restaurant also boasts a private dining room housed in its award-winning wine cellar, and outdoor café with Hudson River views and a bar that begs to be dined at for a less formal meal. Since April 2011, Harrison diners have been enjoying the cool, casual vibe of The Harrison at lunchtime. Lunch at The Harrison is suited for business meetings, a quick bite, and special occasions alike. Whether it’s for lunch, dinner or a special event, The Harrison offers rustic, soulful fare, continuing owner Jimmy Bradley’s vision of bold, seasonally inspired cooking with sincere hospitality.

Great experience: service was particularly good. Only reason noise level was high is that we were seated next to a pair of exuberant loud talkers. Would definitely go back, and look forward to finding a reason to use their wine-cellar dining room.

My husband brought my parents and I here as a joint birthday/mother's day dinner. It was recommended to him so he thought we would give it a try. The moment you walk in you feel like you left the city-except for the view out the windows of the cobblestone streets. The tables aren't too close together, there is always a waiter nearby to answer any question you may have, everyone was extremely friendly and looked like they enjoyed working there. The menu was great. The chef put together amazing combinations of food that you would never think of. The wine list was great, the dessert menu was quite eclectic and delicious. I would definitely go back here and eat again. It is rare to find a place that leaves this kind of impression.

The food was excellent. The acoustics were not great. The server would come up to the table and stand there for long stretches while we were mid conversation, as if expecting us to stop in order to hear him. It was awkward. Other elements of service were fine.

This was my second visit in about a month and I enjoyed them both very much. The service was wonderful both times - very attentive and professional yet pleasantly casual. The atmosphere is lively but there is enough room between the tables so that you can actually have conversations! Although I enjoyed the food better on my first visit, the second time wasn't too shabby. We all appreciated seasonal ingredients on the menu. In the end, we really enjoyed our experience at the Harrison. We will be back.

THE NOISE LEVEL HAS A LOT TO BE DESIRED. IT'S VERY HARD TO HAVE A CONVERSATION. ON TOP OF THE NOISE THERE IS MUSIC PLAYING..........SO THERE IS A LOT OF I CAN'T HEAR YOU GOING ON!! I THINK THAT YOU SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT!!! IT KIND OF SPOILS THE GOOD FOOD.

The food was excellent, however the service was definitely some of the worst i've experienced in Manhattan. Apparently, we were not going to be a lucrative enough table for our waiter, because he barely did enough to warrant a tip. from the extreme amounts of time between serving to not returning to fill wine glasses, it was all just a very poor experience. I could have understood if it were extremely busy, but it was not. I expect better from Manhattan restaurants, and while I would perhaps recommend it, I will definitely warn people that the service may be spotty.

I was five minutes late and my dinner companion arrived ten minutes later, but our table wasn't ready so we were offered a drink at the bar while we waited. Our waiter was excellent, offering Anna tastes of different wines so that she could make an informed decision. We love the Harrison and endeavor to eat there more often, the genial and familiar feeling and the excellent food suits us.

Our waiter was very good, knowledgeable of the wine list and efficient. The noise level in the restaurant was much louder than I remember, almost difficult to have a conversation at our table of 4. Bus boys are a bit too eager on removing plates; dishes were whisked away just as our forks hit the plate. The artichoke appetizer sounds appealing but doesn't really work with the cheese and pea combination. The cheese overpowers the flavor components.

We had never been to the Harrison before but are looking to move to Tribeca so thought this would be a good place to check out. I had heard great things about the restaurant in the past. The food was absolutely delicious -- sometimes new takes on dishes (English cut of lamb, skate served like eggs benedict) can backfire but these were amazing. Our waiter was really friendly and knowledgeable. Dessert was also yummy and we left stuffed (our fault!). We'll definitely be back

Hostess was very friendly and got us a nice window table even though there were other tables open. We waited for a few at the bar for our table. Nice wine selection by the glass. The service was a little flaky. Few things forgot and wrong wine poured but nothing that would detract us from returning. The food is clean but still has a touch of rustic dirtiness (which I like). The menu was somewhat limited, but I am a picky eater. I expected more game options like duck, venison, and more duck. Why no duck?

I love the Harrison! I hate to say this, but they should charge more - it's just sooo good! I had a great Easter dinner with my family - my father loved the food so much that he ordered five desserts! This is such a great restaurant and so well managed that it's a shame the owners don't open something else...say, in the West Village?

We loved out dinner at the Harrison. The food was great and the ambiance is terrific. Very nice, simple design that makes you happy to stick around. The service was great and they did not rush us out the door. There is a great room for private events as well. We went for a romantic evening and it was perfect for that purpose. It is a bit on the loud side--that was ok with us--but I would have been worried that my dad would have had a hard time hearing in there. That might be softened in the warmer months when the sidewalk dining is open.

What a great atmosphere. The restaurant is not that big, but it is well laid out and extremely comfortable. The decor is beautiful. We were there in March, I would love to go in the summer when all the doors that surround the entire restaruant are open. We had the best steak we have ever eaten!
