Diner Reviews
  • "Everyone was really friendly. The host and hostess were very pleasant and our server was very helpful with his wine suggestions. I was there with my husband, son and his girlfriend and each meal was outstanding. My son tried the oxtail and he raved about it. I had the grilled octopus and it was delicious. The pork chops had just the right amount of spice. The salmon was grilled just the way I like it. We will definitely return for another enjoyable meal."

  • "Food was delicious. Service was very attentive without hovering. Noise level was a shade too loud for normal conversation at the table. Would definitely go back."

  • "We had a lovely time celebrating my husband's birthday at The Harrison. The food was truly delicious and the wine list was very impressive. We are grateful to Beverage Manager, Kevin MacNeil, whose efforts made this evening most memorable. My husband, had the Lamb Neck Osso Bucco which he described as succulent and full of flavor. My stepson, had the N.Y. Strip that was juicy and tender (I couldn't help but taste it!). I had Skillet Roasted Chicken with potato puree. It was divine. We really fell in love with this restaurant. So much so, we went back for brunch on Sunday! Brunch was also outstanding. Our server, Max, was very attentive and was able to answer every question we had about the menu. We look forward to returning."

  • "Ask for Omar! He made a simple dinner with my mother very fun and special. We had the steak tartare, which was delicious. Mum mom loved the trout. The Cabernet and Pinot noir by the glass are both lovely. Thanks again Omar!"

  • "The food was delicious. The pan seared gnocchi was incredible. There were multiple layers of tastes with the trout with hummus. My boyfriend and I would go back."

  • "The food was excellent. Trout and cod entrees were excellent as were the appetizers, ox tail and beet salad. Food portions were just enough. Attentive and courteous staff. We would visit again for less formal occasion."

  • "Not only was the food the best I've ever had, the entire experience has me wanting to come back the next time I visit."

  • "We had lunch at The Harrison and we were surprised that the whole menu was the Restaurant Week menu. Unlike other restaurants where a special one with limited choices is availabel, The Harrison allows many more choices. The food was very, very good. Service was attentive, but not hovering and the place is well apponted. One of our beat Restaurant Weeks meals after many."

  • "Ordered the French toast and churros. They were not churros. French toast was average tasting"

  • "We had a great dinner here last night. However, the service is so-so. The last time we were here I felt the same way, but I thought it was just a fluke. Exact same last night. The food and the ambiance are nice, so we might be back, I wish the service didn't fall flat."

  • "It was our first time here at The Harrison. We came here for restaurant week and they had Sundays available. We were expecting the RW lunch menu to be given to us, but it was their Sunday Brunch menu instead. The Prix Fixe price for lunch was $25. They had told us that we can choose one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert from their Brunch menu. I thought it was valuable that we were only paying $25 for a 3 course brunch. The service is wonderful. They know exactly how to communicate. The food was taken away and delivered very very fast. This restaurant is a true gem. I would come back after RW ended for brunch as well! It was a wonderful deal."

  • "Visited The Harrison for restaurant week lunch. To their credit, the full menu was available. Everything was fresh and well prepared. As is their philosophy- simple food expertly finished. The three carrot salad stood out as most flavorful and inventive, the fries were excellent, and the garbanzo feta salad pedestrian. Will return for dinner to sample the complete menu."

  • "There was a $75 pre fixe menu for the holiday. I had the smoked trout croquettes (perfect!!), short ribs (would get again), and a chocolate caramel tart (really great). My husband had the oysters (they were only okay, but we're spoiled living in Boston), lamb (loved), and the coconut dessert. He was thrilled that they had Pappy Van Winkle 23 year. My only complaints were the calling to confirm the reservation I booked on OpenTable (I know many restaurants do this, but it's a pet peeve of mine...such a nuisance) and the couple that brought their very fussy child. I don't blame TH for this, but this restaurant is no place for a child. I felt bad for the tables next to them. Overall though,we loved the place and would definitely go back."

  • "I had Snapper Crudo - delicious and fresh - followed by corn-encrusted cod in a delicious sauce. Both were well-seasoned and delicious."

  • "I have eaten here in the past and had a good experience so I thought I would bring my husband here for his birthday dinner. Probably would have chosen differently if I could. We order 3 apps & 1 main course. The oxtail app was awkward and messy to eat, also it had a overwhelming taste of citrus which I did not care for at all. The octopus had a great flavor however it was VERY tough. The gnocchi was AMAZING, I'm still dreaming about it. I though the trout was good although my husband loved it. Our server was diligent, warm & well informed."

  • "I enjoy the Harrison for dinner. Food is always good, service is consistent, and ambiance is enjoyable (hate it when I can't hear or feel like I am shouting). I decided to try it for brunch as the places that I normally go to in W Village or Chelsea are usually packed. A very happy experience. Menu was creative yet hits the spot for what you crave for brunch. Will definitely be back."

  • "Consistently delicious and fresh market to table food. Wonderfully cozy/ welcoming staff/ great wine choices."

  • "Most everything I ate was overcooked. My octopus appetizer was extremely chewy; the angliotti was tough; and my calf liver entree was tough and chalky. The brussell sprouts were tasty though."

  • "I can't believe I had never heard about this place! The drinks were great and while waiting for a friend I got to try toasted nuts at the bar, which were very tasty. The ambiance was very warm, inviting and vibrant. The food is to die for. We cleaned the plate of everything I have. Definitely take server suggestions, they know what they're talking about. I definitely recommend this place!"

  • "I have been eating at this restaurant periodically since it opened. The food is consistently good, the service is professional and they have a great bar for cocktails. On my recent visit I noticed that the wine list has improved. My one complaint in the past was that the wine list was overpriced and underwhelming. Well, I think that has been corrected. The wine list now spans price ranges and offers some affordable delicious reds. Kudos for finally getting the wine list right!"

  • "Harrison has become our go-to restaurant in Tribeca. Unpretentious but outstanding on every level. We KNOW we will have a great, enjoyable experience every time."

  • "I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the Harrison. Our server was friendly, prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was warm (but a little cold temperature-wise). Beignets were crispy and fluffy. The orrechette with beans and broccoli rabe was al dente and seasoned perfectly. The duck terrine was visually pleasing with the layers of fruit and meat - duck, bacon, figs, etc. It came with warm crusty bread and an apple curry chutney which was a little odd but paired well with the terrine. I also enjoyed my cobb salad but found the bacon and blue cheese to be a little too salty so I picked them out. I enjoyed my meal with a decaf coffee which I didn't expect to be good but it was actually very good. I will be back!"

  • "The stars I gave tell most of the story. Every dish four people had (except for the cod which could have been a little fresher) was really, really good! Definitely plan on going back!"

  • "I had been looking forward to dinner at The Harrison; it couldn't have been more disappointing. We had three of the small plates - the radish (might as well not have been dressed at all), steak tartare (incredibly under-seasoned) and the chorizo (unremarkable). We had the pork chop and the cauliflower agnolotti for dinner. The pork chop was fine, nothing exceptional but served with a kale and arugula salad that might as well not have been on the plate. The side of cannellini beans served with it was very good. The cauliflower was disappointing to say the least. There was almost no filling in the agnolotti and the plating was atrocious. Nothing was BAD just not good either. It left us feeling like an overpriced neighborhood diner."

  • "Love the Harrison, food is consistently fabulous, service attentive without being annoying and lovely room (though we prefer to eat on the patio when it's warm enough)."

  • "Phenomenal meal! Excellent service and lovely staff. We had to wait a short while for our table at the bar, so the host comp'd our drinks, which was a very nice gesture. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice dining experience in Tribeca. Will be back!"

  • "We had a great meal at The Harrison! In fact, the salmon was the best salmon that I have ever eaten. I loved this restaurant...only wish that Chef Frietag was still the chef (just for the star factor). Everything about this place is wonderful. Will definitely return!"

Fantastic meal accompanied by a great bottle of wine. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who was looking for delicious food, excellent service and a great atmosphere."

  • "My friends and I had our holiday group dinner here. We were a large group of 8 people. The service was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I had the trout and it was cooked perfectly. They also have a really good tequila drink made with grapefruit."

  • "We ate brunch at The Harrison and loved every minute of it! We could see the World Trade Center from our corner table, and it was fun to people watch as well! The duck terrine was fabulous, as was the gruyere polenta. We would eat her every weekend if we lived in NYC!"
