Upon arrival our table for 5 was ready and we were immediately seated. The waitress was attentive and very friendly. It was nice the buffet items were listed on a card at the table making the anticipation inviting. The food was not an overwhelming amount but everything was wonderful. The Granola Parfaits were so refreshing, the eggs in the Florentine were cooked to perfection and the bite in the Lemon Tart was outstanding. The Salmon Wellington was also a favorite of mine and everyone loved the donuts.
We debated coming to the Hardware Store having to add the ferry fee to our outing but we were glad we did, it was a wonderful day. Usually I have only 2-3 choices on a menu. I had Melinda's breakfast, a vegetarian dish with sautéed spinach and garlic, Morningstar breakfast patty, house potatoes (fried seasoned chunks, very tasty) and (extra) biscuit with strawb jam. just the ticket! very good bar drinks, good coffee but so-so espresso; very good and pleasant service from all who attended to us. a little noisy, but it was brunch, after all;4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunchWe had a wonderful weekday lunch with my family of 5. All the seafood dishes were excellent: clams, crab cakes and clam chowder.The peak lunch hour time was a bit too loud for my elderly mother, but the staff was very helpful in finding a booth for us in the corner to help buffer the noise. Next time we'll go for a late lunch when there are fewer people.Would we go back?
