Private Party Facilities: Our upstairs Firehouse Room is a beautiful, unique space that can be intimate for a smaller dinner group or perfect for a wedding reception. The Firehouse Room has its own bar, facilities, and views of the cathedral. With large windows and a fireplace, you found the perfect venue. The upstairs is not handicap accessible.

"We primarily go to The Happy Gnome for the beer selections - really interesting and lots and lots of choices. The menu scared us a little, since they really cut back on their entrees, and there wasn't a lot to choose from. But we went tapas-style and had a very good meal. The asparagus salad with gravlax, creme fraiche, and a fried egg was fantastic. The lamb sausage was great, the boar croquettes were great, the tater tots were terrific."

"I was very pleased with my experience at the Happy Gnome. Its a great neighborhood place that has a meal for any occasion. From a cheeseburger and fries to steak tartar. The beer menu is also extensive and the bar area was vibrant. I wish I had a place like this in my neighborhood. I would defintely go back."

"Fabulous food!! The always have one or two scrumptious options for vegetarians, too, which I love. And, of course, the beer list is tremendous! If you have guests from out of town who love beer, this is the place to take them.

The Gnome is VERY busy and crowded on weekends, so that is the only factor to consider if you are seeking a quiet night out."

"The food was excellent with so many flavors within each dish that it made it quite delightful. The waitress seemed cold and standoffish- we were all wondering if she was in the wrong occupation. The noise level was so loud that by the end of the meal we were all practically shouting to hear each other. The food was so divine that it was worth it though."

"The servers are knowledgeable and not overbearing. The food is amazing (ranging from the affordable and delicious Game burger or home-made veggie Juicy Lucy to the higher-end specialty dishes) and the beer list blows my mind. Great place."

"This was our first visit to The Happy Gnome and it could not have been better. We had the scallops and Roasted Pork shank and tenderloin which were amazing. Fro dessert we shared the cheesecake which was out of this world, like no other cheese cake we have ever had."

"Loved the food and service, too loud for groups to talk however, so unless there are areas with less noise we will schedule groups elsewhere. But for two-four people it is great, and the duck was some of the best I have had. Excellent service as well!"
