I enjoy eating at the Hamilton. I had the grilled salmon and it was delicious with the Spring Valley Kale and some type of carrot vinagrette sauce. I did substitute the baby chickpeas with mashed potatoes and everything was cooked just right.

Went to dinner at Hamilton with my mother. Had been there a few weeks earlier for lunch. Broad menu - something for everyone. Mom enjoyed crab cakes (which I enjoyed at previous lunch). Lobster bisque was excellant but Rockfish was not that great - bland and tasteless. Peach crisp was very good. Waiter working hard but may have had too many tables. I ordered a second glass of wine but it still hadnt arrived well into my entree. A manager stopped by and went off to find it but brought wrong wine (i had changed to white). Waiter fixed immediately but when bill came, I had been charged for the extra wine that was sent back. Bill was fixed but only because my mom noticed before paying. I'll be back.

Clyde's ownership of all its restaurants never disappoints. The Hamilton is lovely to look at, with good-looking booths, some at windows and wonderfully prepared and imaginative food. This was a lunch and was every bit the same level as my earlier dinner at this place. They have a sushi bar and offer imaginatively prepared special rolls and bento boxes along with all kinds of burgers, plates and salads. I had the vegetarian platter, an interesting combination of quinoa and another grain mixed with miniature yellow tomatoes and also large white beans and green beans ...all with great flavor. My lunch partner ordered some sushi rolls, very spicy with eel, avocado and other ingredients and loved the dish. I will be back!

The ambiance is outstanding and the restaurant was packed on a Monday evening. We had reservations so we enjoyed good seating in a booth where we could talk. The server seemed new in that several times we had to ask for utensils and plates and we never got them. He forgot - not acceptable for a higher end restaurant like this. He was waiting on a big table and long periods of time would go before we saw him. We had to ask him to take away the plates when we finished and they were taking up plates before we were finished. They said they had a plate shortage - not my problem - this is their issue! We also had to ask for our bill and then again for them to process the bill. We were putting more effort into our service than the server!

We had tickets for a 7:30 show at the National Theater and a 6 pm dinner reservation. Not a TON of time, but it was plenty given the attentive service and timely food prep. Appetizers were the tuna tartare and ricotta-stuffed figs, both very good; entrees were sea scallops and the brisket sandwich, also both very tasty, and "tasty bites" dessert which offers four mini versions off the dessert menu. Everything was great and service was professional and helpful regarding wine & food choices. Can't wait for our next theater outing!

Ate dinner August 30 and I was extremely disappointed. The restaurant ambiance/decor is great, but they missed on every other front. Our server was very friendly, but what we told her did not seem to matter as half our order was wrong and the timing was incorrect. We ordered sushi and it was as bland as pre-packaged grocery store sushi. After sushi (and a bland appetizer), my son was still hungry. I should have cut my losses but ordered another small plate for him, with a slight modification to the menu preparation. Again the server smiled and said no problem and again the food came other than as we requested. When we explained we did not get what we ordered our server simply apologized and brought an unadjusted bill.

I went to the Hamilton recently for a business lunch. The food and service were terrific. I had the sashimi salad, which was out of this world. I'd go back in a heart beat. There aren't a lot of great lunch options in that neighborhood. Old Ebbitt is ok, but it's always jam-packed at lunch. The Hamilton is much more civilized and the food was great. I highly recommend it.

My brother recommended this restaurant, where none of my siblings or I had been. It was for my father's birthday, which I noted in my OpenTable reservation. I was thrilled when we arrived, as they had reserved a nice round table in a private room at the back of the restaurant for us! It was perfect - plenty of space and removed enough from the hustle and bustle that we could really enjoy each other's company and celebrate my dad. Antoine, our server, was very attentive and on top of things at all times. Will definitely return!

I've been to The Hamilton 5 times now and had a great dining experience each time. The food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful. Appears to be a hot spot for meeting friends in the bar area after work, although I have only patronized the restaurant part of this establishment. The atmosphere is "upscale casual" so you can dress up or dress down and still feel comfortable there. Food is reasonably priced for the quality and everything is fresh. Drinks are a little pricey, but also well prepared and well presented.

I have eaten @ the Hamilton on several LUNCH occasions., after telling my spouse & two other family members about the Hamilton I was very embarrased when tiny amounts of food for dinner served in extremely large plates was put before us we ate around 10:00am that morning & nothing more until we got to the Hamilton in the PM., I would not recommend The Hamilton for Dinner only Lunch or Brunch. We were so hungry we asked for a second serving of Bread & Butter (it never came) I had ordered the sweet potatoe fries I had to wait for them to open a second batch. Michael our waiter was extremely nice we gave him $30.00 tip, we could have gone to Olive Gardens, rating the Dinner Portions as POOR feed guests not starve them.

Really good dinner. BLT soup and Baby Beet salad for starters, Scallops for wife and single crab cake for me and a shared chocolate cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce for desert. The best draft beer list I've seen lately. Very noisy, but that is a problem with most restaurants these days. I'd return and recommend to others.
