Diner Reviews
  • "Found this place by accident two weeks ago with my friends. Omg the staff was very customer service oriented and COOL! The Brunch Punch (unlimited and so are mimosas) was delicious and we never saw our glasses empty. The burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had and my friends enjoyed their meals as well (chicken/waffles and the skillet). It's so rare you get a chill place, good food and excellent customer service. They've def won me over. Oh. And they charged my phone for me. WINNING!"

  • "Went for brunch on Mother's Day and it was great. Friendly and attentive staff, kept refilling our drinks. Great unlimited brunch and delicious food. "

  • "Great place for unlimited mimosa brunch. They also have a brunch punch that was surprisingly refreshing that has champagne in it. $16 on top of any entree for unlimited drinks for two hours. Our entire table also didn't need to get the drink special. Great food selection. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles which were great. The chicken was exceptionally good. My friend ordered biscuits w/ sausage and gravy and i thought the sausage was a bit too salty, but otherwise fine. Early morning on a beautiful sunday it was pretty empty, but filled up by the time our time was up. The first waitress we had kept the brunch punches coming, but I think she got moved to a different area and the drinks slowed to a trickle."

  • "Its a nice rustic space and I think there is a back area that would be good for groups. The unlimited drinks were good and they keep your glass full, but the food is nothing to talk about and most things were too salty."

  • "Great brunch with bottomless drink options. The bloody Mary was definitely one of my favorites. Setting and service were both great!"

  • "Me and a couple of my friends came here for brunch the other weekend and we had an excellent time. I normally only come here for happy hour so it was nice to see this place in the day time. I got a burger and all you can drink brunch punch, both of which were fabulous. My friends also really enjoyed the food and drinks, and the service was spot on. No complaints. Would love to come back here."

  • "Brunch Food was okay... Would have prefered the complete menu. Service was exceptional after we noted we would be drinking a lot. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because we realized at the end our waitress charged us for the brunch punch (nothing special) after we requested a glass to taste it!! It was unlimited and she didnt have too. So that was annoying. Otherwise the place was great for large groups and for brunch. Clean and not to noisy."

  • "Drinks were great, food was not. We ordered 4 salads, and a chicken pot pie. All plates had chicken. And all the chicken, no matter how it was prepared was dry and horrible. Three of the salads were not even eaten because they were so bad."

  • "Server was extremly slow.... only recieved water once. Food was average. Jalepeno pinapple becaon was the best part."

  • "Wanted to watch some hockey and baseball but with good food and beer selection. This place was perfect. Outstanding beer selection, solid food variety. Food was very good - higher end pub food. No complaints. Efficient service - everyone pitched in to ensure timely service for all. Will go back for sure."

  • "Been here a few times, this was the first to have the Fish & Chips. The fish was not crisp, it was soggy. The fries were hot but also soggy, limp. I mentioned this to the waiter who told me they had a new chef. A pub should have awesome Fish * Chips, miss them here."

  • "Great food, small serving sizes. Server was pretty rude. Staff was extremely unaccomodating. We went because a friend is vegan and there were some gold things on the menu. Turns out the changed the whole thing and we couldn't even substitute one veggie for another. Glasses were empty quite often. Granted there was 1 person for two large parties but the reservation was made over 48 hours in advance - they should have been prepared."

  • "I came here from a Sunday brunch at noon and promptly greeted by the staff with a warm reception. The ambience was very relaxed at the time, where I could sit and enjoy myself without feeling rushed. The food was very good; the unlimited Blood Mary's were wonderful. Robyn, my server, was very friendly, sociable, and was extremely timely in bringing food and drink. I'll definitely be back again."

  • "Too loud. The food wasn't good at all. But service was fine and so was the beer. However, with these cons I'd go some place else."

  • "I've been here twice. Great on a weekday night but super crowded on the weekend. The food was good but a bit overpriced. We constistently had to flag down a server to order."

  • "Excellent Brunch food. Great beer list. Mimosa glasses were always refilled quickly. Our server was attentive to all our needs. can't really ask for more."

  • "The staff wa delightful. I was very impressed with how fresh and delicious the food was. I was expecting typical bar fare and our meal was delicious. The beer choices were,of course, extensive and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful We had a great time and will be back many times."

  • "Found by accident four or five NYC trips ago. Never miss brunch since. One block to Washington Square Park. Quiet weekend mornings. Like that, but great service, food, bloody Mary's! Never miss weekend brunch at The Half Pint!"

  • "Had a party of twenty - all arriving at different times. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. This is a great spot for some appetizers/light fare and drinks- very reasonable (great beer menu). I would definitely recommend checking it out!"

  • "The beer was pretty good, but the food was quite disappointing. I think I had possibly the worst tasting fish and chips ever. Is it possible that they reheated the fish in a microwave? Yikes. Anyway, my thoughts are that this is a fine place to stop off for a very tasty beer, but I'd recommend passing on the pub fare."

  • "We stopped in for a drink and a bite before a show at the Skirball Center, and The Half Pint fit the bill perfectly. Inexpensive, delicious burgers and sandwiches, excellent sweet potato fries, and decent cocktails ... what more could you ask for? We weren't in the mood for beer, but if you are, the selection is exceptionally impressive. Our server was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. It started filling up and getting noisier as we were leaving, but it was the perfect place for us to kill some time and catch up with friends before the NYU show."

  • "We made a reservation for 15 for 9pm on a Saturday for a group that was partially just there to drink and partially there to eat. We were accommodated right away, and even as the bar filled up, the servers were pretty attentive to our needs. This is a fun bar to pregame at before shows at Le Poisson Rouge and good for a group if you make a reservation in advance since it gets VERY crowded as the night goes on. I would definitely go again."

  • "This is a really busy neighborhood with a lot of choices, but even given that, we thought this was a fun place with delicious pub-type food (individual pizzas, burgers, sandwiches) and a great beer selection. It's nice to be able to make a reservation when you're dining out as a family, and the server was friendly to our (older) kids -- nice touch in an adult environment."

  • "The Half Pint is your standard bar serving pub fare. It's nothing fancy. In fact, I find it surprising that they even participate with OpenTable. However, The Half Pint has a fantastic unlimited Bloody Mary & Mimosa brunch that is worth checking out. You will not be rushed here like at most other places with unlimited drink brunches. If you stick with the classic bar food (burgers, sandwiches, etc) you will completely enjoy yourself."

  • "Portions were large. Food was okay - nothing that special. Belgian waffle was cold & pretty tasteless. Nice atmosphere for brunch. Service was nonchalant."

  • "I went to the Half Pint for my birthday because I like the beer list and location. A big plus was the fact that I could book a table and make sure my friends and I had a place to sit since we'd be a larger group. The table was ready when we got there and they didn't fuss over the fact that not everyone arrived together. The service was a little bit slow at times and when someone bumped into a waitress and a drink was spilled on my friend they said they needed to "investigate" what happened. They gave her a business card and offered her dry cleaning, but I thought just a free beer would have been more fitting. Overall though it was good and I'd return. The table situation was really key and the beer selection is quite good."

  • "Nice spacious pub in the West Village with room to watch sports, sit outside or have a nice dinner or group outing. They have tons of great beers to choose from, many internationals. The fish and chips was tasty for a Irish pub, but the sandwiches and burgers were better. I was there with a big group, watched a soccer game and it was a great time. The staff is very friendly. And the atmosphere is beautifully comfy and clean for a pub. Great times to be had at this place!"

  • "Great food and service. Went for brunch and they were very good about refilling the unlimited mimosas and bloody marys. I had the goat cheese omelette which was amazing. Was with a group of ten people and everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Definitely will be coming back!"
