The GroveAm I in Napa Valley?We've been to great restaurants in Florida and all around the world. The Grove is up there with the best, 5 stars all around from the front of the house to the kitchen. I can't stress how good the synergy of this restaurant is, the front of the house (Paul) is sincere, makes you genuinely welcome, and his attention to detail is unmatched. The servers are the same and although I haven't been able to talk to the chefs, as they are always very heads down, they are creating magic. Buratta salad, citrus marinated Wahoo, whole snapper, brioche crusted chicken, the list goes on... everything that comes out of the kitchen is stellar. The staff seems genuinely happy to be working there, and truly make everyone feel welcome and special. The food is outstanding, interesting, flavorful and unique. The chef's Megan and Michael work as a team, alternately preparing desserts, entrees and appetizers. The menu is small,. but changes often, and each and everything on it is wonderful. They have a great wine selection, by the glass as well as the bottle. The decor is hip and cool, but still inviting and comfortable. Paul and Michael have created a modern, beautiful, hip restaurant without the attitude that often accompanies this type of dining experience. When you enter The Grove, you feel cool, the decor is striking, and the music perfect background to the decor. The service is impeccable without being overbearing, you can tell that everyone who works there is happy to be there. The food created by Megan and Michael is creative, clean and delicious. The menu changes every couple of weeks, giving the chefs the ability to use the best of seasonal ingredients. We have become regulars and are treated like family each time we dine there. You won't be disappointed!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA great find in Pineapple GroveThe Grove is a fairly new, small establishment in the Pineapple Grove neighborhood of Delray Beach, so it's away from the crowds of the Ave. The menu was limited, but very creative and fresh and food was fantastic. They had a pasta appetizer that was so good, the next time my girlfriend and I may make it our meal. I had flat iron steak, that was tender and full of flavor and my partner had a chicken dish that was moist and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. With such a small place, the atmosphere was intimate allowing for very personal service. The menu is small and rotates bi-weekly. We were offered a choice of five starters, five entrees and five desserts. The food is inventive, fresh, local and nicely presented. All of our dishes were wonderful. The wine list is extensive for a restaurant of this size, and is well chosen.
The staff displays just the right mix of friendly and professional, and is quite knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. The food was delicious. The sunchoke soup was served at the perfect temperature and the kale salad was so fresh! We were daring and tried pork cheeks with a pasta that was flavorful. The duck was a little to rare but we did not send it back as we wanted to eat it the way the chef prepared it! All in all it was an eating experience with lots of wonderful tastes to enjoy! The menu seems to vary from night to night. On the particular night we went we each were able to find dishes that appeased us. Each of us started with a fresh green salad, which was rather plain, but tasty. I had the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. One of my dining companions had the tilefish, which she enjoyed and my other dining companion had a salmon appetizer that looked divine.
