  • "My wife and I last ate at the former Peerce's Plantation 38 years ago before moving out of the area. Our daughter now lives in Baltimore so on a visit we decided to check out the current version. Online reviews were mixed and we were a little hesitant. The food and service were excellent. Our server helped my wife with her gluten free requirements and all parts of the meal were served in a timely manner. I was even pleasantly surprised by the size of my meal ending coffee- larger than the small cup served at other places it lasted through the generous slice of Smith Island cake ordered for dessert "

  • "Peerce's used to be one of our favorites, but Friday night we were very disappointed. Nothing was really awful, just was not up to par with other experiences we have had there. My husband's food was not hot, the portions were smaller than we remembered, my daughter's entrée was extremely spicy to the point she couldn't eat most of it, and which was not noted on the menu, her boyfriend said his entree was just "ok" and his was NOT as spicy as he had wanted and had even asked the waitress about before ordering, and overall we were just very disappointed. At this point we would not recommend going to there anyone and will probably not go back any time soon. "

  • "Quiet night and service was only fair. Had to ask for bread several times before it finally came. There were few customers in the dining room and the bar crowd seemed to break up early so it was a real puzzle why our dinner took so long to come out. Don't know whether it was the kitchen or our server who wasn't as attentive as our server last Friday. Hope that inconsistently is not going to be the rule."

  • "We decided on Peerce's for a special occasion recognizing academic achievement for our two grandsons (excellent grades)and their father (completed Masters Program). We had not been to Peerce's in a long time but liked what we saw on the on-line menu. We could not have been happier with our choice. The hostess noted our reason for the celebration from our reservation and engaged the two grandsons perfectly. Our waiter, Corey, was friendly and very attentive. He was well complimented by the rest of the team who assisted him and they all provided great service. If I had three thumbs, I would give Peerce's 3-Thumbs up."

  • "Two couples dined there on 3/22/14. Salads were very good. Entrees arrived cold and one of the diners had meat loaf which was pretty much inedible - hard and dry. One of the diners had crabcakes with sweet potato fries which arrived cold. One had filet mignon which was tough. All meals were served cold. Took a long time for food to be served. There were very few patrons in the restaurant on a Saturday night. We were told there was a "new chef". Not impressed at all. Not sure if we would go back at this point."

  • "Hadn't been here in a while and heard there was a new chef. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was a mixed bag. Salmon was very good. Meatloaf was so-so as was the scallop special. Dessert was very good. Will have to try it again before I could recommend."

  • "There were 8 of us in the dinner party and we were easily accommodated (I did make a reservation the day before). Everything was great, from the appetizers to the dessert! The service was outstanding and my husband was especially pleased that he got his coffee before the dessert came out. It was our first time eating at Peerce's and we loved it!"

  • "went back to Peerce's after hearing they had gotten a new chef. Tues. and Wed. are "comfort food" nights...great special. Food was very good. we had a great waiter, only reason I did not give 5 stars was that he disappeared for quite some time, and then came back... was it a staffing issue??? He was pleasant and served extremely well until the end of the meal. This place has been under several managers. It looks like they got it right this time. Will definitely return."

  • "Peerce's has a new chef so we thought we would give it a try, because their previous chef's menu seemed to never change. What a nice surprise! The food was varied, they had specials for Wed & Thurs nights along with specials of the day. Both of our meals were delicious. The service was fast and courteous. We will definitely be going back again & again."

  • "To start, the hostess didn't greet us very well and didn't seem too friendly. The waiter was nice but also a little inexperienced. Never filled our water. The menu selection was good & the food was also good; nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about either. The filet mignon was choice meat but needed some spice and flavoring to put it over the top. The deserts were excellent. The dining room with the fireplace had a lot of kids running around on Valentine's Day in the middle of the room, so a good hostess would put the kids off in a corner or in another room. I think Peerce's is trying, but they just don't know what they are. There are kids running around, TVs in dining rooms, so it's hard to figure out what kind of place it is"

  • "My fiancee and I have been to Peerce's many times. We went there for Valentine's day. I was unimpressed. The staff was friendly, but wait times for food and drinks were very long. We wound up being there for 1hr 45minutes. Our waitress told us multiple times how backed up they were etc. But half the tables were empty and they were serving a fixed menu. I've been here on other nights and the food service has been prompt, despite a packed house. The price was also high for what you got. $80 or $100/couple got you an appetizer, soup or salad, an entree, desert and a glass of house wine. Sides were greenbeans and mashed potatoes, you didn't get a choice. I will say that my filet was cooked perfectly, as was my fiancee's salmon."

  • "Reviews for the new Peerce's were decidedly weak on Yelp, in fact, many were downright hostile, My Dad said otherwise and with trepidation, we gave it a try on Valentine's Day. Surprise - for every negatively reviewed element Peerce's shined, from a greeting by General Manager Kelly Heath (who also visited our table and made a recommendation of the Flounder with Crab), to Andrew our waiter, everything was great. There was a special menu for Valentine's Day with choices of appetizer, soup or salad an entree and dessert. Presentation was great. For dessert a warm flourless chocolate tart, with berries, cream and a scoop of vanilla. My date added in a text later..Thank you for an Elegant evening. My expectations were truly exceeded."

  • "My girlfriend and I went there for Valentines Day and chose the more expensive $100 per couple option. It took 45 minutes to bring us room temperature soup and an appetizer. The whipped potatoes came out cold and hard. This was upsetting considering the price. I cannot recommend to friends."

  • "We were looking forward to Sunday brunch there for the first time. The outside is inviting and we couldn't wait. We were hungry. At 1:00 in the afternoon we thought it might be a little busy, but when we go there there was no one in sight but a few employees. Not one other diner. We thought that's not a good sign. We felt there wasn't much to pick from on the brunch menu. Not a buffet either. The wait staff was slow and not very attentive at all. And the food was nothing to write home about. So, we decided we never have to go there again. Sorry we missed it when it used to be a fine place to dine."

  • "The food was good just maybe more money than what we got. Room was very loud when full. Biggest issue was the service. Not that our waitress wasn't nice. We sat with 2 empty water glasses on the table for about 20 minutes and waited longer for our check. Brought to us by another table's waitress and returned after ringing it up by another table's waitress. We just left with the sense that we wouldn't recommend Peerce's and wouldn't be back anytime soon. We were expecting great food and ambiance on the level of Oregon Grill but were disappointed."

  • "I had the Arancini for an appetizer and the Fluke special....it was outstanding.. my wife had the meatballs as an app and then she had the chicken marsala she loved it. The best she had had in a long time...not too much wine and the chicken was so moist once again great dinner. Our server was Meg she just has so much personality"

  • "We last ate at Peerce's in November, 2013. 7 tables 1 waiter typical same menu. We said never again. BUT we saw in the paper that they had a new chef and a new menu so we decided to give it a try. Pleasantly surprised. Our server was very friendly and the expanded menu had a lot of choices. Would definitely go back. Keep it up Peerces. Maybe some tasty vegetarian items would be mice"

  • "I took my neighbors out for a belated holiday dinner.....they had the prime rib and I had the crab cake...huge lump crab meat was great, cole slaw was just ok. Please try a new recipe. My neighbors said best prime rib they ever had , seasoned wonderfully and grilled perfectly....we love this place"

  • "It's a pretty nice looking place inside and out. The menu sounded very promising. My guest enjoyed their strawberry salad however the porkchop I ordered was on the dry side though it was still tasty. I found the prices, portions, and service to be pretty good. If I lived closer I would probably go back but as it is I probably won't unless I happen to be near by given the options closer to the city."
