  • "We had a very nice time and a great dinner. The staff was extremely nice and helpful!"

  • "If you have never dined at The Grille at Bear Creek, you're missing out. The Grille is one of Macungies hidden gems. Always fresh great tasting food, great scenic views and the service is always fast and courteous. Definetly one of my favorite places to eat! And you can ski too!"

  • "Wanting to try something different, I made reservations for our family of 5 to dine at the Grille at Bear Creek. My family was initially less than thrilled with my decision (some prefer the chain restaurants) until we arrived and were seated in an area of the restaurant where the view of the slopes mesmerized my children. Our server was attentive and kind. Our food was delicious. The ambiance was just what we were looking for after a hectic week. My family has asked to return every Friday night for our weekly dinner out on the town."

  • "Overall dining experience...very good. Food was good. One guest ordered prime rib med rare and came out a bit over med. correction made and second was almost perfect. I/we would dine there again"

  • "We have eaten her often throughout the years. It is always a hit or miss experience. The food is fine, nothing remarkable and for the quality we feel it's pricey. The ambiance is great, the view is scenic and it's kid friendly. We ski so it's a nice restaurant to take a break and get a bite."

  • "I asked for a window seat to watch the skiers, but they could not accommodate. Very disappointed."

  • "The overall experience here was good but I would say it is slightly over priced. Probably because it is within the resort and considered the "nicer" of the available places to eat. Enjoyable nonetheless."

  • "I love dining at the Grille at Bear Creek. The food is always exceptional and many people don't realize they make a lot of their foods from scratch; sauces and dressings etc.."

  • "In the middle of PA where there is not a lot of upscale dining experience, this place is an Oasis. Great food, great atmosphere. Love it!!"

  • "We were seated at a window with a beautiful view of the ski slopes. The drink menu featured some special cocktails that we were eager to try. As far as food, while the menu wasn't large, there was something for everyone on it. Our server Anthony was doing well to start. He helped with suggestions without being overbearing, however shortly after our second round of drinks were brought, he seemed to have no care for our table. Our meals were delivered by a wait staff and we didn't see our server until we asked for our check. This cut into our spending as we would have had more to drink and possibly dessert, however the delay from the 2nd round until Anthony finally checked on us, left us feeling full of disappointment, not food."

  • "Great place. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere after a fun day of skiing."

  • "We love dining at the grille. We love to ski & we love ending our day eating at the grille. I always make reservations but it seems that we always get stuck in the corner by the kitchen door. There are tons of empty tables and the waiters always say they are reserved but the whole time we are dining they are empty. We had already asked to be moved from a booth & they stuck us over by the kitchen door. It would be nice to sit somewhere where you can enjoy the view. It seems to be a pattern there. I just don't get it. We live locally & dine there often. It just doesn't seem right. The food is always great. I just wish the service was better."

  • "We had a group reservation for Saturday night at the Grill. Got there early and hoped we would get the window or fireplace seat requested. That didn't pan out but food was good. Guys got the cajun pasta which could have used a little more sauce. Filet was cooked to perfection. Server made sure we check the meat done-ness before leaving the table which was good. One of the steaks was under done. It came back fixed quickly."

  • "Food was good. We had Rainbow Trout and Wild Shrimp Pasta for dinner. We shared the calamari. No dessert for either of us. Coffee was TERRIBLE to the point that we didn't even drink it. Waitstaff was horrible. They didn't know the menu at all & to be told that "our coffee isn't that good." When I asked for a new pot to be made was not what we were expecting to here. For the price it was OK. We were asked to leave our table because that had people waiting for our table. However, when we got up to leave because we weren't going to stay there any longer There were open tables. It wasn't like we were sitting in a prime location. No one was waiting when we walked out either."

  • "We were celebrating my husband's 60th birthday and I wanted to take him someplace new and exciting. I decided on the Grille because he recenty got back into skiing after about a 10 year hiatas. He was so thrilled to go there for dinner with all the activities geared around skiing. The waiter, Anthony, was excellent along with the other supporting staff. The food was awesome as well as the drinks and atmosphere. Our whole group had a wonderful dinner. I was even able to bring in my own birthday cake which I handed to the manager upon our arrival and he took care of having it served. I would most definitely recommend The Grille to anyone!"

  • "It is a great restaurant after a ski day with some decent food. It is quite loud and don't expect it to be a romantic spot. After all,it is a family resort. Hence, lots of kids around. My wife and I had the filet mignon and it was quite good for $28.00. The Grille is the best option if you don't want to drive anywhere after a long ski day."

  • "My wife and i had a lovely dinner. My only complaint would be when i made the reservations the only time slot available was 4:30 or 8:45p.m. We took the early reservation. The restaurant had plenty of open tables even up until the time we left. I spoke with the waitress and evidently they block off a bunch of tables for the skiers . When we left i think the restaurant was still only half full. She recommended next time just to call. So i am not sure if open table is always the way to go. We still had a good time and will definitely be back."

  • "The guacamole/crab app was delicious! Definitely a must!! Our entrees were very tasty (scallop special and prime rib) but a bit overpriced. Overall a good dinner. Service took a little while to get started.... We typically don't go out on Valentines day, but did a little night skiing, and a great way to end the evening w/ dinner at The Grille. Decor is nice and has a nice Mt. feel."

  • "I love to come to Bear Creek because of the beautiful scenery. I am from the area and it's a great little place to go for a different experience. I was excited when we got a reservation for Valentine's Day and to bring some friends from out of the area. The only compliant I would have is that the service was slow and terrible. We sat at our table for about 10 minutes before anyone came over to us. We informed the manager that no one had been to our table before, and even after that, it was about another 3-5 minutes before anyone came to greet us. Our drinks then took significantly longer than they should have. We were glad that we ordered our appetizers, drinks and dinners all at the same time because of how long everything was taking."

  • "We ate here sunday night 2/9. The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. Appetizers of lobster bisque and ahi tuna didnt disappoint. Our entrees striped bass, salmon and ny strip steak cooked just as ordered. Every dish was seasoned to perfection and sides were complimentary to the dish. Our dessert, warm apple tart very good. We want to personally thank the manager George for taking care of us. You went above and beyond. Thank you .Jamie, Tracy and family. We would definately dine here again."

  • "This was our 2nd dining at The Grille. We just love it there. We had an awesome view of the mountain, the service was outstanding, the food was delicious and our waitress was so friendly, knew the menu, knew the drink list and overall a very good waitress. We had a wonderful experience again this time, as we did the last time. We were there celebrating our daughter's birthday and definitelylan on coming back before the end of the ski season. Thank you for taking such good care of us and I look forward to returning soon!!!"

  • "My wife and I visited for the first time for a date night. Our table was right next to the windows so we could watch the skiers and snowboarders navigate the slopes that were all lit up. The service was excellent. All of the staff were friendly and attentive while not being annoying. The food was wonderful and reasonably price. We will definitely return again in the future."

  • "Upon entering the restaurant we were not welcome. It was the superbowl night so I understand everyone was busy, however when after seated for 10 minutes nobody comes to ask you if you need a drink, I think is pretty bad... The food was terible, the french fries were cold, the waiter was not friendly, we asked for dessert ( piece of pie) the waiter never brought it until we asked for the check to leave. We paid for the bill ( which was $65.00) in cash, we gave $100.00 and the change was short $ 20.00 until we asked the manager and he came back with the difference. Overall the experience was terible and I will never recommend this restaurant to any of our friends."

  • "The only thing that was quite unsettling during my visit at bear creek, was the smell of stinky feet. It was gross."

  • "I was the organizer for our large group of 11. Most of the food was tasteless, the service was mediocre, the only things that came out quickly were the cocktails and the two appetizers ordered for the table. While the restaurant itself was fairly warm and cozy, and some of the meals were plated beautifully, many people commented that the food took much too long to come out and much of it had no taste. On top of that, the prices were much too high given the taste and service"

  • "This place is great after a fun day of skiing. The dining room is beautiful, with stone decor, fireplaces, and great views of the slopes, and a nice combination of warmth and elegance. The service was capable, prompt and friendly. Nice wine and beer list. Our party of 7 had mixes opinions on the food---ranging from fair to very good---but overall, I give is a good rating. The menu feautures some unusual choices and the food combinations on some dishes are odd. Sometimes the tasta takes a back seat to the presentation, which is usually stunning."

  • "Our family ate dinner at the Grille two nights this past weekend. On each of the nights, our server was very helpful, informative, and attentive. The food was above expectation - especially the Arctic Char special and the Filet Mignon Bearnaise. The prices were very reasonable, especially for a ski resort. We're going back this next weekend and will definitely eat here again. Highly recommended"

  • "Overall, I would rate our dining experience pretty good. We have eaten at the Grille many times in the past and do enjoy it when we come to ski - good food and great atmospher. However; this time our waitress provided us with the specials of the night but NOT the prices - and yes, we are guilty for not asking the prices but were quite surprised when our bill came and one of the specials that was ordered was $48!!!! Perhaps the high price tag was the reason behind not giving the prices. Typically specials are at least in line with prices on the menu - this steak item well exceeded the cost of what was on the menu and we were unpleasantly surprised and disappointed."

  • "We had reservations for 5pm at the Grille. We arrived 15 minutes early because our 4 and 6 year old were already hungry. I let the hostess know we had reservations for 5pm. She gave me a sour look and told us to come back at 5pm, even though the restaurant was essentially empty. We were not seated until 10 after 5, after having to go up to the hostess again and demand to be seated. Finally, when we were seated, they gave us a table, not the booth we requested. I told the waitress we would like to switch to one of the two empty booths next to our table, and she said she would check. She eventually came back and said the hostess said, "no". I asked for the manager (George), and he came over to the table and finally cleared things up."

  • "One plate served before other plates, other plates were cold, many tables were empty and staff unaccomodating on switching tables or changing for later reservations, and bill was wrong.....However, staff was very friendly, but menu very pricey for this type of service."

  • "The location was close to home. The view of the skiers/snow borders and ski slopes was great. The dining area was inviting. The staff were friendly. The food was good. Why not a great review? We were there for three hours and not by choice! The service was so slow that I gave up on having dessert and I always get dessert when I eat out. It is one thing to tell us the food is going to come out late but there was no excuse for being ignored the first forty minutes after we were seated! I mean literally nobody came up to us to ask us what we would like to drink. Having young children with us also made the slow service problematic. So, no I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with children."

  • "A bit pricey but overall a good and different choice for a holiday gathering. It was a bit difficult to locate once on the property as directional signs do not specifically call out The Grille at Bear Creek. Okay to do on an occasional basis."

  • "Wento to the restaurant to celebrate my birthday. My husband made reservation because of friendes telling us that we should go. Ordered the meat with caramelized onions and blue cheese. The meat was very, very hard. I would not order it again. I would go back just because the view is spectacular but not expecting to have a good meal. The chocolate dessert was good. Service was good!"
