Welcome to "Manhattan in Hauppauge". The Grill Room is a chic, yet unpretentious multi-candle lit comfortable 80 plus seat restaurant where you will have a true dining experience.
Located in the nations' second largest office park, you may enjoy dining indoors or, on more pleasant evenings,… being served on the tree lined patio.
The Grill Room features an early, extensive three course prix fix menu from 5:00pm - 6:30pm Monday thru Saturday. Lunch is served from 11:30 Monday thru Friday and you will not find a more accommodating wait staff.
Executive Chef Hal Goldman, formerly of "Cool Fish" and "Bedlum Street", among others, serves up a formidable array of mouth-watering delights, including "Horseradish Crusted Salmon", "Hazelnut Dusted Tilapia" and his original specialty "Thai Fish Pot". Also offering an extensive wine list, as well as many specialty drinks, the Grill Room will not disappoint, whatever the occasion.Continued

"This is a very comfortable, very good restaurant. The food choices are varied and unique, and all were delicious and well prepared as requested. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The decor is rich and warm, with clever lighting and rich colors. Nice long bar and seating is separate tables, not the disappointing often found " row" seating with the wall as your view. Restaurant Week is a tough call for any restaurant but this place was excellent with great choices. The salmon was really tasty, the steak cut like butter (and was served as ordered, med rare), veges were tasty and the deserts ( cheese cake and choco cake ) were perfect. The wine suggested by their Sommelier was excellent and very reasonable. I would go back anytime"

"Definitely a "find" and we will return. However, there are some negatives.

POSITIVES:
Food was very good, well prepared, attractive presentations.
Menu quite varied, many inviting choices, sufficient wine list.
Music was unexpectedly good, and probably the best feature.

NEGATIVES:
Location & setting was unattractive, if not downright ugly!
(Dilapidated shopping shopping center, within a large industrial park!)
Exterior so unattractive that we would have passed it by, had we not made reservations via website that gave entirely-different expectations!
Interior was not that much better.
Noise-level was nearly unbearable, due to early evening bar-crowd and lack of separation from dining area. (Almost left because of it; glad we s"

"We enjoyed our Lunch Birthday celebration very much, Great food and presentation. Very courteous friendly staff members.First time , enjoyed our selves, the noise level gets extremely loud by 1pm so talking is a bit hard to hear. The place must be that good, it gets packed."

"Dinner great...a bit noisey since happy hour was ending but manager assured us it would
settle down soon...invited some new friends...they couldn't believe we found this "gem"....
tucked away in a business/commercial area....
We assured them weekends are even nicer when the bar crowd is NOT around!"
