The Tomahawk steak was juicy and cooked perfectly. I loved the apple and cranberry crumble with vanilla ice cream dessert but needed a little but more ice cream. Our waiter, Warren, was great - very professional and friendly to talk to and really took the time to talk to us. The food was incredible and steaks beautifully cooked, plus the 3 courses for $41 was a great price for what we got. Loved the candy floss at the very end too - nice touch. The wine list is very extensive but $50 for the cheapest bottle is a little pricy. Would definitely reccommend if you're looking for a fancier style meal in Whistler.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Pleasantly Surprised!We were warmly greeted by name upon our arrival & the service was impeccable throughout. The complimentary crab cake was a pleasant surprise & was very good. The signature tomato soup (and entertaining tableside show) & sable fish was heavenly- perfectly done! The New York steak was prepared perfectly & the bordaise sauce was delicious. The creme brûlée was creamy, smooth and deliciously decorated with cookies and fruit. The peanut & chocolate tart was artistically presented with a scoop of ice cream on top. To end the meal, we were presented with complimentary candy floss. The portions were sizeable...just don't load up on the delicious breads. The Grill room was wonderful and we were fortunate to have Melandro (so friendly) serve us!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food with great wineThe Grill Room is a great little restaurant, it features an amazing menu that continues to change throughout the seasons to offer different local and regional ingredients. My wife and I always enjoy the best Fairmont service we can get anywhere and we always excitedly look forward to dining at this amazing restaurant. I love the fresh beet salad, followed by either the rack of lamb or the new york steak and with the cheese plate for desert, you feel very fulfilled and hopefully you can enjoy one of the great cocktails from Mallard Lounge afterwards.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
