Excellent dry Martini that was accompanied by warm sourdough and assorted pickled peppers and vegetable sticks. Local Miyagi oysters were excellent and the Filet Mignon Oscar was outstanding with perfectly done 8 oz. filet mignon, crisp asparagus, lump crab meat and bearnaise sauce. A large pile of rich mashed potatoes filled any empty spots in my stomach. Grand Marnier souffle topped off the delicious meal. Service was prompt and cheerful. Surroundings are black and white and clean and sparkling. Worth every penny for a special night.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMsad miyagi oystersWe made reservations prior to a show at the cmt. Food came out fast and service was great. The happy hour scene is pretty nice too. The oysters though tasted a little pre shucked. They were good but should have not stuck to the shell. Overall everything was great... I just have issues with oysters that are a little too dry and had no natural salt water. It was busy... so the kitchen might have been busy.
The happy hour food is always tasty and worth hanging out in the bar. This restaurant was an unexpected gem! The service was outstanding -- courteous and friendly. The food was amazing, and they enthusiastically complied with some special requests. Great wine list. However, it can still get noisy is you have loud people around you. The service is excellent. The food is good but not quite worth the high prices and the quantity is way too much. I usually think of elegant dining, one for which you pay more, as serving smaller portions with a lovely presentation and each bite being wonderful.
The key lime pie was delicious - best ever - but my special coffee was lukewarm which wasn't what I expected. A mixed dining experience this time.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGET THE SPECIALS! Went in a around 5:30 for an early dinner on a Saturday. When we arrived it was fairly empty of patrons. The receptionist said we had a five minute wait for a table. She later said they didn't have enough servers. Why would they book reservations without enough HELP? After we were seated the server was very good. The meal was outstanding and it was a nice early dinner. We tried a new side dish this visit. The mac and cheese is outstanding and decadent. For dessert, the souffle is always a big hit. By having a reservation we were seated right away. Our waiter was not only friendly, but mindful of the clock since we had tickets and needed to leave at a certain time. Service was fantastic and we were totally pampered. The wine list was endless and the stewart recomended a wonderfull Pino for only sixty bucks a bottle.
