"It was a special birthday dinner. We ordered one of the specials- prime rib
for two . It came as an enormous hunk of meat , so thick you
Had to saw your way thru it. Not soft and buttery as it should have been.
Very disappointing. We left most of it, as it was fairly gross looking."

"Very expensive but worth it for a special occasion. First class service and romantic ambiance make this a great location to take a special someone. As the name suggests, the menu is heavy on red meat. Great traditional fancy steak house."

"Not my first time to The Grill, but possibly my last. The serving staff was terrific, but the food: The entire meal (grilled vegetables and two steaks) arrived at the table lukewarm at best and had to go back. The New York Steak cooked medium was dry and lacked any flavor. I believe you could get a better cut of meat from a bulk warehouse store.
Based on the food quality, The Grill is nowhere near being worth the price."

"I eat weekly at the Grill in Westlake village and the service there is awesome.
Unfortunately, the service of the wait staff was downright Awfull. The waiter took 2o minutes to come back and order our drinks then another 15 min
To bring the "turley" ZIN back. We had to hunt people down just to get water
And our waiter never came back to our table. No management was present and
The food was served Luke warm.

Just terrible service which is worse because I'm a regular customer in Westlake village. I was staying at the Fairmont
But I will never eat here again"

"What I liked: food, drink, and ambiance

What I didn't like: the service! We only ordered an appetizer, a mojito, and a meal salad because I had a light dinner before that. When we ordered the food, the server made us feel like we couldn't afford a meal. We didn't like her service because of the lack of professionalism."

"We enjoyed a great dinner tonight. Wedge salad was fresh and crisp. Shrimp cocktail offered big shrimp with good sauce. The pan seared salmon over spinach was excellent. The lemon sauce was simple but tasty and not over done. The portion of salmon was too huge though. And the lobster tail from Nova Scotia was incredible. Sweet and soft, not chewy or overdone. Server was prompt with wine and ice bucket. Overall a wonderful dinner."

"My wife and I recently dined at the Grill to celebrate our anniversary. I had been to the Grill a few times before, and found it good. But, the food on this visit was way below par. We ordered a KC strip and a Lobster. The steak was well cooked and tender, but was barely warm by the time it was served. This was a surprise, as the plate itself was hot to the touch. The $65 lobster was a complete disappointment. The lobster was billed as a 1 1/2 pound serving, but the meat in the tail was about 3/4 inch in diameter, and only about 4 inches long. And, it was extremely salty -- to the point where I initially thought the drawn butter was overly salted -- but it was the lobster meat itself. Not good."
