"Went there looking for Brazilian Steak, but it was dry and did not have much flavor (although it was marinated for 24 hours). Our server (Antonio) was extremely helpful and actually switched our dish to the filet mignon which was quite good. We also had to paella which was delicious."

"We had an ok dinner, nothing special, the food pretty blat. Bu the staff was good and fast. Actually too fast, for dinner I would prefer to be served my food for more than just 30 min. We arrive and we were done. So that kind of took more out of a somewhat very average experience. Don't think we will be going back."

"I've been to the restaurant before and really enjoyed it, but the service on Saturday was spotty at best. The waiter was often nowhere to be seen, though we eventually realized he had a very large party he was serving, as well. While that is understandable, we were left waiting to order food and drinks for long periods."

"Went here for the first time after making a reservation for 9 people. Even though our group trickled in for a period of an hour from the time of the reservation- AND added 6 extra people- the wait staff remained very friendly, professional and accommodating. Moreover, the service was prompt and the food came out quickly and at the same time...something I usually give up on with groups of this size. Prices are not remarkably cheap, but are probably average for the neighborhood. Regardless, they were justified by the dining experience."

"Very authentic Brazilian cuisine with a fabulous ambiance and extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Our waiter helped us select excellent dishes including the linguisa (sausage), churrasco (kebobs) and chicken for our children. We purposely went to dinner early with the kids around 5:30. Everyone was very warm and Brazilian (welcoming of all). It was carnaval and while we were expecting a loud atmosphere, it was calm with futebol (soccer) and then the desfile (parade) on the television. We strongly recommend Grill from Ipanema for a chill brazilian evening of excellent food. Be sure to order the avocado salad entree-- AMAZING!"

"I requested a 'romantic' table and was seated next to 3 moms with 5 kids between them who thought it was acceptable behavior to let them run, jump, and hollar as they wished. There was plenty of room in the other part of the restaurant, but we were not seated there. We went 35 minutes without drinks - the waitress took our drink order within 5 minutes but never filled it. And it wasn't because the bartender was busy - the only thing he was busy doing was watching Carnaval on the TV. Which by the way was the only sound in the place - no music, just constant drumming sound coming from the TV which was very annoying. I will NEVER go back there and will NOT recommend it to anyone! It was a complete let down! Oh and the food was not good."

"Ack. I was there for dinner with my wife. Food was seriously meh. Quality of the steak was ok. Quality of the shrimp was poor. Both were really badly prepared. Service was slow and uninterested. Waaaaaay too expensive for what it was."

"Went here for Valentine's Day. The meal was excellent, and our server was great. Really amazing Brazilian fare. The Fejoada was very authentic. The only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars overall is the couple that sat next to us. There were plenty of other tables for the hostess to seat them at, but she put them right next to us. They complained the entire meal, and were very distracting. My girlfriend and I continuously stopped talking mid sentence because of what they were talking about.

Anyway, I know it's not Ipanema's fault, but they could have seated them somewhere else.

Besides that, the restaurant was great. highly recommend it."
