Diner Reviews
  • "Made reservations for Sunday- prime rib night at Silverado. Our reservation was for 7:30 pm. Seated soon after and told there was only 4 orders of prime rib left if we wished to reserve any of these- why would a restaurant run out of a featured entree so early in the evening? Service was gracious but slow. The staff was very friendly, the food rather average."

  • "They need to change the menu more frequently and include more seafood options."

  • "Always left with poor impression of greeting or lack thereof. Other than that all is wonderful"

  • "Both my wife and I have a very good meal. Our entrees were outstanding as was the salad we split."

  • "Went there for dinner on Friday. Place was about 25% full, lots of staff. Yet they just couldn't seem to serve our table. We both ordered the fish. Both came out cold - one wasn't cooked on one side. Impossible to find someone to take it back to kitchen. No one served our wine. Someone offered to bring us bread but it never came. Our waiter never could seem to find our table though we saw him running around the resturant very busy. Finally got our dinner, which ultimately was good. But the service ruined everything. Between the members who have to eat there and the captive resort guests they must feel they really don't need to provide much of an experience for diners. If you have a choice Napa has so much better to offer than the Grill."

  • "It's a bit hard to find in the corner behind the pro shop and sharing bathrooms with the golf locker room, but excellent food and service made up for it. Possibly a shower after dinner would be refreshing."

  • "We are locals and I decided to come here for a romantic dinner on Valentine's Day. I'm afraid we will not be returning. The good part is that they confirmed our reservation by calling us before the reservation. And our waiter, though quite young, did his best to be attentive on a very busy evening. The not so good parts: The food was mediocre and overpriced for what it was. I had the Pablo Pollo Loco which was actually seasoned very nicely! But between the two of us, that was the only worthwhile food item that graced the table. The wedge salad had nothing but blue-cheese crumbles (no dressing) on it. And dessert was just okay. I'm afraid we won't be returning to The Grill at Silverado. Stick with downtown Napa!"

  • "The french dip was blah. The chicken sandwich was terrible. Normally a chicken sandwich has a breast, this was a tigh. Only good part was the fries."

  • "Had the breakfast buffet. Chafing dishes always full--all items quite good. Nice service. Great bloody marys. Didn't know buffet closed at noon--we had to hurry to eat to make the deadline. Sort of odd entering restaurant through golf shop. Decor in need of an update--carpet could use some stretching. Would try it again"

  • "Dinner was better than it has been in past months. We have had some really bad food and worse service in the past. Maybe it's getting better. I hope so! They should not charge members corkage.."

  • "A great place to head to when you want really tasty food and that resort-like feeling... The restaurant decor is dated and needs some updating, but not the menu... it's current and delicious!"

  • "its a golf course grill .. great setting with a view out over the practice putting green and to fairways, but food and service are nothing special. January lunch special was decent value with a salad and sandwich for $14, basic menu is American comfort food (sandwiches and salads) which are decent, but no bargain .. the other Napa January lunch specials look more exciting"

  • "My daughter and I were staying at Silverado, and wanted a nice, good, but not formal dinner without having to leave the resort. It was just right - very good food (ribs, flatbread, fresh Dungeness crab Louis), good wine selection, and moderate to high prices. However, a friend dined with us the second night and she was not thrilled with the Kobe burger. The service was fantastic, and the waiters and hostess were all friendly, extremely competent, knowledgeable about the food, etc. A very good 'thumbs up' overall."

  • "Given we were staying at the resort, we wanted to have dinner at one of their restaurants. The buffet didn't fit our schedule but The Grill did and we were very pleased."

  • "Would like to see a chance in the menu since this is a restaurant we frequent quite often when staying at Silverado. Menu has been the same for long time - they need to change it up and bring back the clubhouse sandwich on the lunch menu."

  • "Service was good, but the food wasn't good enough. We were expecting something more fancy! The food was simple and not good... I also requested a vegetarian dish and all i got was mushrooms with peppers and few carrots with two thin slices of uncooked tofu! Please chef be more creative!!!!"
