Set in a 1780 Pennsylvania Stone Farmhouse with deep windows and a warm pleasant atmosphere this is a family owned and operated restaurant that is recognized as one of the "Best of Lancaster" for dinner, Sunday Brunch, patio dining, wine list, atmosphere and romantic settings. Although our building is over 225 years old we update our menu daily! Change is a good thing at the Greenfield. We specialize in next day delivery of Hawaiian Finfish and seafood while we continue to cut our own steaks. You will enjoy selections from our wine list that has been recognized by the Wine Spectator Magazine for over 9 years. Our patio and balcony over looking the trendy bar is among our customers favorite requests for lunch and dinner seating, while the wine cellar has two of the most romantic tables in the area. If you are traveling, this is one of those restaurants that you wish you had back home....and we are happy that you found us.Continued

  • "I had the Buffalo. I didn't care for it. Too red and too tough. My wife had the Walleye. She didn't care for it"

  • "Lovely place with a terrific porch in warmer weather. Food cannot be beat. Imaginative drinks. Courteous seating for those with limited mobility. Best brunch around."

  • "We really liked the atmosphere mainly because the tables are not too close to each other so it was fairly quiet. The food was outstanding! We had the rock fish/salmon chowder and it was excellent! Our filets were done exactly as we ordered them. The service was excellent too. We will definitely eat there again!"

  • "ok the cellar is great for a nice romantic dinner. now with that said the service we had was awful. the calamari was bland. the rack of lamb is awesome. the barrel cut of prime rib was horrible. the spatzele was just as bad very doughie. the mash potatoes cold. then the expresso martinis we ordered for dessert was even worst. would I go back NO,No,No"

  • "This is really a great place to dine, Food, Wine and Service is finest we have experienced in Lancaster County. Recommend.10 out of 10. Don't tell to many about it. Owners could let it go to their head or it could become overrun. LOL."

  • "This was the first time my husband and I ate at Greenfield, and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent with many choices for our diverse palates. Our server was knowledgable and made fantastic recommendations. I absolutely recommend the Greenfield Inn if you are looking for romantic ambience and superb food."

  • "All in all, nice atmosphere, good food for a fast food restaurant, but way overpriced for what you are getting. I suspect the management got a good reputation and then started raising prices and lowering quality. So sad. Would never recommend to a friend. Prime rib below average and tasteless, even with the $3 onions. Grilled veggies were far from fresh. Desserts seemed mass produced but tasty."

  • "A special restaurant that has a good mix of semi-casual dining with fine dining food. The service is always friendly, personable, and attentive. My wife and I recommend the seafood. It is very fresh and cooked perfectly. Live music on the weekends, special events, and gracious hosts make it a memorable experience."

  • "Our first time at the wonderful Greenfield Restaurant and we were very impressed. The food was superb and the service delightful. It was a fifty minute drive from our home, but it was very with it! We round most definitely return."

  • "One of the few upscale restaurants left with fair pricing. Really enjoy it for that special occasion, like Valentine's brunch. If you haven't, or it has been awhile since you have been to Greenfield, try it."

  • "We returned to the Greenfield for a special dinner with an out-of-town guest. The food and service were excellent. Our guest was much impressed. We'll be back."

  • "The servers were knowledgeable and delivered excellent service. We even had a small spill and someone was at our table before we had time to react. Two of our diners had the pork and both commented on how moist and flavorful the dish turned out to be. Another diner had the crab cakes and absolutely loved them! The restaurant is a beautiful old barn or maybe a carriage house. We were seated in the bar area which had some nice piano music playing, but there are other areas of the restaurant that are more secluded and romantic."

  • "Good atmosphere, service was good, not intrusive. Based on other reviews we expected the food to be a little more upscale, but it was okay, biscuits and muffins were good. We were there for brunch so will go back and try dinner."

  • "We were celebrating our mother's birthday and the staff suggested we sit in the wine cellar. It was cozy and quiet (except for us) and a perfect setting. I had checked out the menu prior to our visit and was excited to try the sea scallops which featured a local favorite of mine, turkey sausage from the Turkey Lady at Lancaster Central Market. The food tasted delightful, and with the risotto it all seemed the perfect arrangement. The rest of my party equally enjoyed their food as well. Our server was attentive and fun, and we were even honored to have a table visit from the head chef. It was a superb experience and I would recommend Greenfield to anyone."

  • "Our experience was great, fourth visit. Joe our server was very very good, attentive and conversational. If I had only one recommendation, it would be to offer the beet salad as an upgrade. Even a few dollars to exchange for the dinner salad, you could make maybe $12 dollars for a $15 dollar salad. No big deal, just a thought. Really a top notch night out. Thank you!!"

  • "Well worth the trip from S.Jersey. First, a great Christmas Show at the American Music Theatre and then a short ride to the Greenfield Inn for dinner... Food prepared as requested, tasty, and presented nicely. Waiter well versed and helpful. Will return."

  • "Had a very good time , good food, nice wine selection, great service."

  • "Up front, I have to say this is the first time EVER we saw a waitress perform this act. I ordered a second glass of wine when my first glass was about 1/3 full. The waitress arrived with the second glass and before I could say anything, she picked up the first glass, DUMPED the 1/3 full into the new glass of wine and walked away. We were dumbfounded. We were there for a weekend lunch -- a celebration -- and wanting a "dinner" meal. None of the main dishes the restaurant is known for are served at lunch, and the website does NOT show the lunch menu, which turned out to be soup, salad or sandwiches. Whiile the mushroom and french onion soups were good, we felt more like we were in a diner than a fine dining establishment."

  • "Was trying to find a nice, hidden gem for a special dinner for two. Definitely me my expectations. It's a little pricy and I won't dine there regularly because of that, but food was very good."

  • "Decent food at a decent price. Service is very good and staff is friendly. Doesn't try to be anything more than it is -- solid dependable restaurant in a lovely setting."

  • "At first we weren't sure of our decision. There was a large (loud) party on the first floor, but our hostess took us upstairs to seating overlooking the bar area. The mood was much better there, and only got better as the pianist began playing. Our server was pleasant and the food was fantastic. The short rib eggrolls were delicious and the sriracha ketchup added just the right amount of kick. My wife and I each ordered seafood, the diver scallops off the menu and the grouper special. Both were exceptional with the scallops being some of the best we've had. The only disappointment came during dessert. The creme brulee lacked flavor, the sugar was burnt, and the "exotic fruit and berries" on the top consisted of one strawberry."
