The Greenfield Restaurant
Good FoodThis is a very good place for good food in a great atmosphere. It is pricey, but worth it!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMComfortable and quaint5 of us dined in a quiet corner on a balcony overlooking the bar area where a pianist played live music that wafted throughout the wide open area. We had lamb, prime beef, and crab cakes and all were very happy with their meals. The wine list is presented either in traditional menu form, or, as we chose, on an electronic tablet, which was both fun and easy. The service was friendly and excellent. All in all, a very nice experience.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLawrence Welk MusicThe restaurant was great but, the organ music reminded me of something Lawrence Welk would like.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat waiter but over worked! We had an awesome waiter for our dinner. He was very friendly and knowledgable. Unfortunately he had about 6 tables with about 15 customers, and he was slammed. There was a lot of time that we spent waiting for him to get our drinks, bread desserts etc. the busses should have been taught how to help out more, not just filling waters and clearing tables. We were not in a hurry so it was alright but just too much time spent waiting. The food was great, hot and wonderful flavors. We definitely would go back. I especially loved the dessert selection--it was hard to pick just one!! Thanks again to Josh our waiter!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious! The food was tremendous - excellent quality and the portions appropriately sized. The bar area was a delightful place to sit. It was raining on our visit, so the next time we visit, we'll sit outside. It beckoned to us!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGood time and good food! Shane,Good time and good food! Shane, our waiter, did an awesome job!!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMLove...love...loveWe love dining here! The food is fresh and made to order. They have delicious fresh seafood and their crab cakes are the best I've ever had. My husband loves their Filet. Cooked perfectly. Love their French Onion Soup, Caesar Salad and their homemade desserts are worth indulging in. We dined downstairs in the wine cellar. If you get a chance to dine there...you should! There are only 2 tables. Very private... We loved it. But whether you sit there or in their bar area, main dining room or their loft...you will love this gem of a restaurant! It's one of the best in Lancaster County!!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMRomantic EveningOf course I booked through OpenTable which is so convenient. I had been to the restaurant previously, so there were no suprises. Quaint colonial decor in the dining area, a bit more upscale in the bar. The bar has tables and on that Saturday night there was a pianist as well. I had the scallops (4 or 5) and my other had halibut over couscous which was also good. I could have used another 2 scallops for the price, but they really were great as were the sides of brussel sprouts and sweet potato 'broulet'. Yummy. Even when the room was full, it wasn't too loud, but it's not a big room. Private dining area upstairs and downstairs as well. Just nice, generally a treat.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was about the fifth timeThis was about the fifth time we have eaten at the Greenfield Inn and one of the best. It is definitely our favorite restaurant in that area. We ate in the wine cellar based on a review by an open table respondent and it was excellent. The ambiance there added a lot to our evening. Constance was very cordial, professional and accommodating; and, the food is always excellent. We recommend the Olde Greenfield Inn highly.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWarm and friendly atmosphereWarm and friendly atmosphere coupled with great food and service make this restaurant a consistent choice.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful gem of a restaurantWe always enjoy eating here. Surprised to not find it was not more busy for a Friday night!1/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, wonderful ambiance!I was with my 92- year old aunt and as our travels had taken longer than anticipated, we were the last table seated before they were closing for the Christmas holiday. We were made to feel very welcome, not at all rushed, and the bar tender and our server Bradon were very helpful- answering every question, even taking our photo by the lovely Christmas tree! It's very convenient and as our family frequently travels that route to visit our aunt- we will be back! Since her aunt lived to 107, we look forward to many visits!12/23/2012 12:00:00 AMThis was our first visit. This was our first visit. We had a lovely evening. Service, food, atmosphere - all excellent.12/22/2012 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed Short Rib Egg rollEnjoyed Short Rib Egg roll (a little Kick to them), Lobster Ravioli & Brussels Sprouts. Enjoyed all of the them and was very full at the end of the meal. Would have loved to order a simple side salad, but all the salads are full sized portions. Bread was a little stale and butter was rock hard. Although we were only one of three tables seated in our room, we could all hear everyone's conversation. Waiter was new but very good.12/11/2012 12:00:00 AMWe are relatively new to theWe are relatively new to the Lancaster area - we are very pleased with Greenfield.12/9/2012 12:00:00 AMThe food is excellent as isThe food is excellent as is the service & the ambiance.
