The Greek at the HarborThe Greek is back. We lastThe Greek is back. We last ate there 12 years ago, it was some of the worst Greek food we had, we eat a lot of Greek food. We decided to try it again and are happy that we did. The menu is better, the wine list has a nice selection of Greek wines on it and the food we well prepared, seasoned and presented. The Branzino was fabulous, the farmers Greek salad was excellent with really fresh Feta and plenty of olives, only thing missing was some pepperoncini's. Sitting on the patio is nice, great view of the Ventura Harbor and people walking along the shore line. It is well protected from the elements as well. Once we got a waiter, the service was good, but it took a while before someone decided to wait on us. We were able to choose from the family menu and the food was plentiful and efficiently brought out. The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the view of the harbor was beautiful on a warm day. Not 5-star food, but tasty and plentiful; found that the potatoes and orzo were over-salted. Absolutely outstanding. The food was perfectly cooked, our waiter kept the wine coming, and the entertainment made it fun for us and the other couple. We had surf and turf and the lamb chops...so much food but the meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The cheese cake baklava was a great finish....we seriously will drive down from santa barbara as often as we can for this lil gem...noise wasn't too bad as we sat outside...could still chat and hear the other couple and watch the show4/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
