We drive over to Dallas every few weeks to take my aunt to brunch. A few weeks ago we decided to try someplace new. Didn't know we needed reservations. So glad I made them this time! Great food, wonderful service, vibrant atmosphere. Matthew was our waiter. We will ask for one of his tables next time. Only drawback to The Grape? It's in Dallas and we live in Fort Worth.

Enjoyed the quaint atmosphere and rustic feel. This was a first date and I think it was a good choice. The mushroom soup was as good as the reviews and my meal was very good. Well done and will return to try more of the menu.

Everything was great; however, we were seated on the patio where there was no heater, and we were quite cold. The food was great, as usual - we had burgers that we should have split they were so big. The service is usually a bit slow, but that's okay since we enjoy being there. We will be back soon.

The food at The Grape was absolutely superb. We ordered the steak from the bistro menu and the arctic char from the montly menu. The almond pavlova for dessert was divine The dessert drinks were decent. Our server was patient and helpful. I want to thank the staff for accomodating our late arrival - our Uber driver took a route which was twice as long as it should have been. We called the restaurant, and they were very understanding.

Other than the tight tables (making it likely you'll get jostled by neighbors as they come and go), I really enjoyed my first visit: great food and helpful service (the mushroom will cure whatever ails you, the mussels meunière are flavorful and tender, and the wine list is fun to explore). I liked the gastropub atmosphere. A neighborhood place perfect for semi-casual dining any time. I will go back.

For appetizer, we got the sausage hushpuppies - the perfect combo of sweet and salty. Then we got the burger (it was everything we thought it could be and more), which had a delicious sauce, perfectly cooked bacon, and great cheese) and the frittata - great bites of pancetta, goat cheese, and the muenster on top was awesome. Highly recommend this place! Can't wait to try it for dinner.

We mostly came to the Grape to enjoy their excellent Texas Monthly rated burger. It was juicy (even when cooked more than we wanted to medium well) and it had fresh toppings that synced perfectly for excellent flavor. The bread was in good proportion to the meat and toppings and did not fall apart throughout the meal. What really stood out was the fries, which still stayed crispy until the end of our brunch. We also had the Belgian waffle, which had fresh strawberry topping and lots of toasted pecans. I did not like having so much whipped cream, but there was a lot of salted butter and maple syrup as well. Overall, an enjoyable brunch and a nice place to eat and enjoy the outdoors.

Steak special was almost too salty to eat. Crust on the trout tasted like burnt popcorn. The expensive wines we ordered arrived with the wrong vintage twice and our waiter did not bring it to our attention. Terrible experience.

Just had our anniversary dinner here. (Second visit overall.) Nice little restaurant. Good ambiance, but just a little crowded in main dining room. Food is fancier "chef's specials" type of food that may appear to put off simpler palates just from looking at the menu, but trust the chef! My wife is a strict meat and potatoes kind of lady, and she loves this place too! Also, since this is lower Greenville with very little parking, prepare to valet.

We dined at The Grape for my husband's birthday, and had our 12 year old son along as well. The service was great - the restaurant was very helpful with my son (who is a fairly adventurous eater), even bringing a larger appetizer than what we had ordered so that he could try it. We all enjoyed the food. My son ordered the Coal Miner's Pasta, which is essentially a carbonara, and loved it. My husband had the salmon, which he said was very good. I tried several appetizers - mushrrom soup, braised lamb tartines, and a green salad. Very tasty! We also enjoyed the creme brulee for dessert. Very enjoyable evening!

I had heard that The Grape has the best brunch burger in town, so I had to go see for myself. I made reservations in advance because otherwise you won't get seated. I ordered a bloody mary and of course, the burger. The bloody mary was nothing special, but the garnishes were pretty tasty. They topped the bloody mary with cheese, summer sausage, and an olive. A little different. The burger arrived and it was BIG. Once you put all the toppings on (lettuce, tomato, onion), you really have to open wide to get a bite. I thought that the burger was good, but definitely not the BEST burger I've had in Dallas. Overall, I think it's a cute brunch place to check out with friends. Decent prices, cute atmosphere, and good food.

43anniversary dinner no way to showcase, your anniversary and a new chef, very skimpy meal. 1 ravioli as appetizer, butterscotch pudding for dessert. A dice of fig and a tiny scrape of bacon did not change the pudding from Jello. Is this the best your new chef can do? Rushed service at end. No coffee was offered. Plates scratched away before I could swallow. We have been longtime customers and were so unhappy with the meal, and dinning experience.

My hubby and I LOVE trying new restaurants and have spent the past 2 years trying as many of the D-Mag top 50 restaurants as possible. We would 100% move The Grape up a few spots on the list. We loved our dining experience. We would highly recommend starting with the Moules Frittes - absolutely phenomenal! It's not too often we go back to restaurants before trying new ones, but we are already planning to return here!

We have dined at The Grape many times over the past few years. In fact a few months ago it was one if our top 3 restaurants. However the last few times we've dined here it has really gone down hill. The food is nowhere as good as it used to be. I had scallops with porcini risotto. It was pretty tasteless. My husband had basmati crusted trout and he said it was the worst fish he had ever eaten. We are taking The Grape off of our list of great places to fine in Dallas. There are way too many other outstanding restaurants that are consistently fantastic so we will be frequenting those. A shame because as I said The Grape used to be fantastic as well.

I Love the Grape, first time I went was in 1980 - it has remained a favorite ever since. I love everything about it (food, wine, cheese, atmosphere), but this last visit wasn't real happy with our waiter - didn't seem very friendly or even cared if he was waiting on us. Never brought the 2nd bottle of wine we requested. This will not make me stop from going again, just a little disappointed that's all.

In spite of what surely was the intentional demonstration of spectacularly loud, modified mufflers and rap music booming from speaker-equipped bikers as they slowly paraded to and fro along Greenville Avenue, we had a wonderful time dining outdoors. The service was good and the waiter was happy to make some great recommendations. We sampled a number of meats and cheeses, the famous fries, and all were delicious. It was a bit busy on Friday night, and at the two-hour mark, we got the distinct sense that our time there had been unofficially declared over. We took the hint. Valet service is complimentary and efficient. I'd happily go again but probably earlier in the week.

Mushroom soup was creamy delicious. The cheeseburger lived up to its billing as the best in Dallas. The steak and eggs were perfect; the demi glace paired nicely with the fried eggs and hash. A wonderful meal. My only quibble is that the table are so close together in a very small space.

I had made a reservation on line for my husband celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We arrived to see that the place was closed due to weather, which we understand is not controllable. The least the restaurant could have done is called us after to apologize for any inconvenience and ask us to come back. I guess I am asking too much for any kind of follow up or decent customer service. It would had been nice! Now I have no desire to ever go.
