  • "We dined at the Granary to celebrate our anniversary. We could not have picked a better place in Billings. The food, service, and setting were all top notch. Beautiful dining room, well decorated, and most importantly not noisy were all contributing factors to our enjoyment. Prices were reasonable as well. One of the reasons we selected the Granary was their excellent web site including the menu and on-line reservations feature. The Granary has enough variety on their menu to please a vegetarian as well as a meat lover. However, a few more meat free options would be a plus. Overall we had an enjoyable evening."

  • "We had seven people in our group and we waited maybe ten minutes before getting out drinks ordered than after receiving our drinks we were going to order a few appetizers but our waitress didn't check on us for 45 minutes so we had to order our appetizers and food at the same time. The food was amazing when we did get it but then she never brought us plates and forks for our appetizers to share with seven people. Told her it was a birthday she didn't offer a smile or anything. Every other waitress I've ever had has been great, but this lady who had short cut dirty blonde hair didn't seem happy to see us."

  • "Had prime rib,garlic mashed potatoes,5 skinny asparagus.Temp of everything was cool to warm My wife had filet. Also served on the cool side. Granted we each ordered our meat med rare, to take our first bite of meat and have the temp barely warm was not too cool(pun intended). Should take a tip from some other steak houses and serve the meat on a sizzling plate to keep the steat hot while eating."

  • "The restaurant was very pleasant to be eating in. The noise level was way down and you didn't have to compete with the back ground music. The whole atmosphere was very pleasant and we did not feel like we were being rushed. There were empty tables around us but they slowly filled up as other people came in, yet no big commotions or noise. That is hard to find now days. Yes I would dine there again."

  • "I ordered the special, which was a "45 day dry aged USDA Prime bone-in New York Strip". The only way that could have been true is if the steak had started out as a horse. It was tough and tasteless. My wife had the rib-eye steak and her experience was the same. The steaks were the quality I would expect at a buffet style restaurant. The appetizer (bacon wrapped scallops) was very good. I had the cheesecake for desert. The portion size was small which was not all bad since it tasted like it had come from a grocery store freezer. My wife had the blackberry desert which she enjoyed. Overall, a very dissapointing experience that I won't be repeating."

  • "We ordered 3 meals and an appetizer. All of the service staff was great. 2 meals were exactly as described and cooked perfectly. The 3rd meal was the swordfish special. It was very thin and terribly over cooked although the crab cake underneath it was very good. It was disappointing. The waitress had told us it was the last one and really, it shouldn't have been served. Otherwise, a great experience. We will go back as we have always had good food in the bar and in the restaurant at the Granary."

  • "I arrived at the granary on a wed night to meet 2 other people for a relaxed dinner. They were business associates from out of town and wanted to go to the nicest restaurant in billings. I suggested the granary. They enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and the service. A couple of suggestions, when I first arrived ahead of them I wanted to find a place in the bar for a couple of drinks before dinner and had arrived 1/2 hour before our reservation. The bar was full. We had to go to our table right away and fortunately it was ready. Maybe more seating in the bar. Also your on-line reservation tool was handy but I think you need to do it by phone as well. Many of the older generations do not use computers and would be very incensed by this."

  • "Asked mom where she wanted to done for lunch for her 85th birthday. She chose the Granary. Although we waited 5 minutes for someone to seat us Once we were seated, the service was ok. The good was very good. The Granary is a nice option for a special Occasion and was really value priced as well as delicious. Will definitely go again."

  • "According to the server, the excellent chef, who has been there for several months, was lured away by a competeing restaurant. This is a great loss for the Granary. The replacement chef does not have the talent of the former chef. Quality and presentation suffured. This brought my rating down from excellant to good. They'll need to find a comparable chef or risk losing my business."

  • "The ambiance was outstanding. We order chicken and salmon. Outstanding choices. Could never say enough good about the Salmon! The chicken was excellent but the red potatoes with dijon were a bit bitter. Too much Dijon; should just have a hint. Certainly not a reason to not return to try something else decadent!! Very relaxing atmosphere for sure. Head waiter came numerous times just to see how we were doing. A must go place for special occasions in particular. The very best part was the Granary had a special on as they were donating to a charity for a specific number of days. We were not aware of that. The savings were outstanding and kudos to them for the generosity. Thank You for the great experience. We of course will be back."
