Diner Reviews
  • "The Granary, which operates as part of Spring Creek Ranch, is a great spot for a special dinner or just a wonderful night out. The view of the Grand Tetons is incomparable, and the food is outstanding to boot. There's nothing not to like!!"

  • "If you want an excellent view of the Tetons then this is the place to go. However the food was just average. I had the chicken dish and the portion was very small and there was no creativity in the taste of the main course. My wife had the trout and it was also lacking in flavor. The Caesar salad was good and the cheese cake was very good but the portion was tiny."

  • "Best meal of our trip. Everything was great. Will go again when in town."

  • "Food is good but not outstanding. Great atmosphere and view. Good service."

  • "We shared The Cheese plate appetizer, followed by the Caesar salad. The Cheese plate is enormous and very rich. It could easily be shared with 4 people. For main course my wife chose the special Venison Chops with sour cherry sauce and I had the wild game pasta. Both were outstanding. I think the pasta was the perfect balance of flavors without being overwhelming. We had a bottle of Rosenblum Zinfandel from the good wine list. There were many reasonably priced wines. Dessert was The Passion-fruit and coconut creme brulee and the bread pudding with coffee ice cream. The whole meal with wine and tip was $165 which is very modest by Jackson standards for this level of restaurant. Ask for a table by the window to take in the Tetons."

  • "Wonderful location; nice atmosphere; wonderful staff. Many are from Eastern Europe and work at the Granary in the summer. They are delightful people, students mostly, and we applaud the program which brings them to this country for the summer. The view is sublime and is, of course, a major reason why one goes to Jackson. The positioning of the Granary is perfect for the view."

  • "My wife and I went to The Granary because of good reviews. As noted by others, the view is second to none. You have a fully unobstructed view of the Teton Range. The decor of the restaurant itself is ok. The service was fine. The bread was average if you like black olives. The caesar salad was ok, but it had very little dressing on it. On the recommendation of our server, I ordered the pork chop and my wife ordered the salmon. I immediately noticed that the pork was tough when I tried to cut into it. The flavor, however, was terrible. It had a very thick crust of mustard seeds that were terribly overpowering. I couldn't eat it. My wife's salmon had a decent flavor, but it was overcooked and ridiculously small. We left."

  • "The unobstructed view of the Tetons is spectacular. The appetizers are mouth-watering and the signature Elk Tips simply amazing."

  • "The elk is very tender and the view was well worth the cost. Great service and food was the best meal we had on vacation. Entertainment in the lounge was very good too."

  • "When I book the restaurant, I have no idea it was on the mountain. The view is just gorgeous. The food is good. Chicken was well cooked, so as the salmon. You should try this restaurant in Jackson of you are staying in Yellow Stone. It would be a nice meal to end up your day."

  • "The granary came highly recommended by a friend and was the highlight of our visit to Jackson Hole. it was a bit pricey but worth every penny. The food and the view are amazing. Eating at The Granary is a must do when visiting Jackson Hole."

  • "22 years ago my wife and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary at the Granary at the recommendation of a local of Jackson. On our return to the Tetons to celebrate 25, we knew the Granary would be part of it! We sat at the same table with a beautiful view of the cathedral group, though clouds obscured them some. The food was fabulous, service excellent-attentive but not pushy or rushed, and the ambiance wonderful. It wasn't a dinner out but an experience or event! I (we) shall return!"

  • "Our visit to the Granary coincided with our last evening in Jackson WY and Father's Day , so we were hoping for a wonderful dining experience. The Granary exceeded our expectations: the food was as exquisite as the view from our window table. We both enjoyed the specialty of the house: elk tenderloin, which was prepared with a light dusting of Cajun seasoning. The seasoning sounded unusual but was perfect for the tender, medium rare steaks. Who knew elk was so delicious? Desserts were special, and we loved the house-made raspberry peach sauce on our ice cream. Our server, Lou Lou was attentive, friendly and informative. The Granary left us with wonderful memories."

  • "We ask for a window view of the Tetons and our table couldn't have been better. This restaurant is located on top of mountain across from Teton Mountain Range in Jackson Wyoming. It is beautiful. The food is great, very tasteful and service was wonderful. Steak and Elk Steak was tender, house salad great, homemade soup tasteful."

  • "We had an excellent time at the Granary. We purchased a Local's Special, which included one night's stay at a Spring Creek condo, dinner for two at the Granary, and breakfast for two at the Granary. It was very nice on all levels. Our server, Lou Lou, was very helpful with entre selections and delivering excellent service. I had the elk medallions, which were excellent. If there's one thing the Granary has that trumps other restaurants, it's the view. The view from this restaurant is spectacular. All in all, you can't really lose at this restaurant. Breakfast was also very good. Stacey took care of us in the morning. He was excellent, as was the trout and eggs, which I believe to be the best breakfast in Jackson. "

  • "Three of my friends thought their elk was too salty. Another friend found her ribeye to be too tough to eat. I tried it and agreed with her. My trout was delicious but 4 of the 6 entries were not worthy of this restaurant's reputation."

  • "Located 1000 ft above the town of Jackson the dining room enjoys wonderful views of the Grand Tetons and the valley below. The food is extremely well prepared and presented. Recommended by a long-time resident of Jackson Hole as one of the best restaurants in the area."

  • "We ate lunch here on a Saturday. The food was great. The service was great as well. Fabulous blue sky view of the Tetons and the valley. Reasonable price for the venue. Will definitely go again. Great experience."

  • "We stopped in the bar for a drink and enjoyed the view and two well-prepared martinis. Got a lovely table for dinner and had the best calamari!! Our main courses were both somewhat over cooked which was unfortunate as the prep was tasty. Perhaps next time thst will improve. Service was excellent."

  • "The view at the Granary is unsurpassed. Unfortunately, the food is very good but not great and it's expensive. This is the second time we've had to send back an overcooked steak! Also unfortunately, the service is OK but the waiters never smile and seem to busy to be friendly. Either go to the Granary for before dinner drinks to enjoy the view then dine elsewhere or, if you dine here, eat in the bar where the service is friendlier."

  • "too loud--my meal not that great--waiter too busy to serve well."

  • "It is a splendid dining restaurant and so much more. The scenery is spectacular and the service is both unobtrusive and first class. The food itself is first class also and we have eaten in top rated restaurants world wide. We were a group of four and between us have travelled for many years world wide, both for work and leisure. It will be our pleasure to revisit the Granary, often we hope."

  • "Three breakfasts and one dinner for our party of four. I can't say we tried every menu item, but we put a considerable dent in it, and each one was splendid. Service was magnificent. A prior reviewer was not quite effusive enough. Stacey is not only a jewel, he is a treasure, and Chris was every bit as good at dinner. The view of the valley below from the window seats is simply breathtaking. If you're not lucky enough to be staying at the ranch, make The Granary a destination. You'll be glad you did."

  • "As we watched the sun setting behind the mountains, we couldn't help but fall in love with the gorgeous view. Inside the restaurant, one couldn't miss the friendliness of the staff and the wonderful service. We were never rushed to make descisions, fun hearing all about the wonderful menu and when we decided what to order each course was served with perfection. We chose to share calamari for our appetizer...large portion, we could have given some to the next table but didn't as it was so delicious we munched them all! Fresh and nicely arranged salad. One steak done exactly right and ooooo so tender...one steak not rare enough...more medium:( Scrumptious desserts! A lovely evening and meal."

  • "The Granary is by far the best restaurant my husband and I have ever visited. In fact, that was part of our conversation the second evening we visited the restaurant. The food is incredible!! I literally savored every bite of my Elk Tenderloin as it melted in my mouth with flavor that had me craving for more. Compliments to the chef and Hats off for having a wonderful staff and beautiful restaurant that'll bring my husband and I back for every celebration this year. :)"

  • "The Granary fulfilled and exceeded our anniversary celebration expectations. As if staying at Spring Creek Ranch wasn't enough of a treat, the delicious food, unique gourmet touches, excellent service, great live jazz band, and breathtaking views of the valley and the Tetons made our 30th wedding anniversary a very special occasion and from now on, a tradition we will keep for years to come. Dinner was lovely, and breakfast beyond compare. Trout and eggs, and eggs benedict were fabulous choices. "

  • "Once again, the Granary has exceeded all expectations! Although my previous visits have been of the romantic nature with my husband, this trip was with my out of town sister who isn't as familiar with the exciting fares that the Granary has to offer. Our waiter was very patient, explained many things and when my sister was swaying away from the delectable elk option due to the seasoning & sauce accompanying it, he surprised her with a sample, and she was sold! And extremely happy I might add; elk is her new favorite meat! The chef cooks to perfection, and creates flavors and combinations that any foodie would instantly be blogging about! Thank you Granary for being the consistent "Go to" place."

  • "Had a great meal here as part of a vacation package at Spring Creek. The food was very good, steak cooked perfectly. Views of the snow covered Tetons, eagles soaring, what more could we ask for. Also very attentive staff and servers. We will be regulars now!"

  • "I took my family while away on vacation. We heard great reviews but the food did not live up to those. I had the New York strip which was 1" thick (if That) and not very juicy. It was smothered with blue cheese and bacon bits which took away the flavor of the steak. My wife had the fish which she said was fair. Our kids loved their food."

  • "From the food, service, and scenic views, the Granary is an exceptional restaurant. We stopped here for breakfast during our last day in Jackson and were extremely pleased. Multiple breakfast offerings, very generous portions at a very reasonable price. Our server Stacey was very pleasant, helpful and a pleasure to talk to. The views are beautiful, I imagine they are even more amazing on a clear day. We will definitely be back our next trip out to JH."

  • "We have dined here several times over the last 10 yrs on vacation & could not wait to come back. This visit did not leave us with that same urge. We view this restaurant as a fine dining experience which their menu prices would also suggest but it has a more casual approach with its service level & winelist. The food was mixed. The pasta of the day was heavenly. The local ribeye was not properly trimmed & I ended up with a chunk of gristle in my mouth (not fat for flavor but inedible cartlige). The noise in the lower dining area from the dumb waiter sounded like you were in a construction zone. They still have the best views around but I think we will only be back for snacks at the bar vs dinner."

  • "We were excited to take friends - to the Granary to share the incredible view and ambiance. The bar service was friendly and prompt, but when we were seated downstairs for dinner, our waitress didn't materialize for more than 15 minutes. This extremely slow service lasted all evening - and dinner was stretched to 2 1/2 hours. The explanation offered was that there were other large parties. A quality restaurant would have staffed with kitchen and wait staff to service these groups - especially since none of them were "walk-ins", but rather, all were confirmed reservations. To compound this, we were informed that the gratuity was automatically included, since there were 6 in our group. Overall, disappointing and embarrassing."

  • "Great location overlooking canyon. Unfortunately we arrived during a snowstorm and could barely find the door to the rest. let alone see the beautiful view. The waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, food, wine/beer. Everyone's food was tasty. I ordered the elk which was very salty. I thought it was the meat however the adjacent vegies were too salty as well. Would def. return and try another dish."
