Diner Reviews
  • "On each of our three trips from New Orleans to Jackson Hole we dined at the Granary. Always a great dining experience with an unmatched view...a must do !!"

  • "was very disappointed with the food…the scenic views were spectacular in the bar. The service was great!"

  • "I took my family while away on vacation. We heard great reviews but the food did not live up to those. I had the New York strip which was 1" thick (if That) and not very juicy. It was smothered with blue cheese and bacon bits which took away the flavor of the steak. My wife had the fish which she said was fair. Our kids loved their food."

  • "Had a great meal here as part of a vacation package at Spring Creek. The food was very good, steak cooked perfectly. Views of the snow covered Tetons, eagles soaring, what more could we ask for. Also very attentive staff and servers. We will be regulars now!"

  • "From the food, service, and scenic views, the Granary is an exceptional restaurant. We stopped here for breakfast during our last day in Jackson and were extremely pleased. Multiple breakfast offerings, very generous portions at a very reasonable price. Our server Stacey was very pleasant, helpful and a pleasure to talk to. The views are beautiful, I imagine they are even more amazing on a clear day. We will definitely be back our next trip out to JH."

  • "We have dined here several times over the last 10 yrs on vacation & could not wait to come back. This visit did not leave us with that same urge. We view this restaurant as a fine dining experience which their menu prices would also suggest but it has a more casual approach with its service level & winelist. The food was mixed. The pasta of the day was heavenly. The local ribeye was not properly trimmed & I ended up with a chunk of gristle in my mouth (not fat for flavor but inedible cartlige). The noise in the lower dining area from the dumb waiter sounded like you were in a construction zone. They still have the best views around but I think we will only be back for snacks at the bar vs dinner."

  • "Great location overlooking canyon. Unfortunately we arrived during a snowstorm and could barely find the door to the rest. let alone see the beautiful view. The waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, food, wine/beer. Everyone's food was tasty. I ordered the elk which was very salty. I thought it was the meat however the adjacent vegies were too salty as well. Would def. return and try another dish."

  • "We were excited to take friends - to the Granary to share the incredible view and ambiance. The bar service was friendly and prompt, but when we were seated downstairs for dinner, our waitress didn't materialize for more than 15 minutes. This extremely slow service lasted all evening - and dinner was stretched to 2 1/2 hours. The explanation offered was that there were other large parties. A quality restaurant would have staffed with kitchen and wait staff to service these groups - especially since none of them were "walk-ins", but rather, all were confirmed reservations. To compound this, we were informed that the gratuity was automatically included, since there were 6 in our group. Overall, disappointing and embarrassing."

  • "If you want a place that makes you feel like you are part of their family...this is it! The food is outstanding especially the Elk! But if that's not your thing they have something for everyone, fish to steak to vegetarian. The staff and management will cater to your every request and do it with a smile. We stay at Spring Creek Ranch when we come to town and we eat 90% of our meals at the Granary because you just can't beat it."

  • "Small restaurant with great food, a great bar and one of the best views of the Grand Tetons."

  • "I took my wife to this restaurant for her birthday. We found the food outstanding, and it provided a quiet, romantic place to enjoy a great meal."

  • "Love this place for a special outing, it's very quite with a wonderful view of the Tetons. My advice, try to be there before dark if possible to enjoy the view."

  • "There are few places on earth that can match the views that The Granary has. You could sit there for hours and be mesmerized by them. The bonus here is that the food is incredible. I never knew that elk could be so tender that you could almost eat it with a spoon. We also had the salmon, which was wild caught and perfect. You'll also love deserts that are so good you won't want to share. "Do you have blue cheese stuffed olives? No sir, but we will make them for you." That's the kind of service you can expect. The manager was very personable and engaging. First class restaurant."

  • "Really enjoyed our evening at The Granary! Would highly recommend the cajun spiced elk filet. It was really outstanding. Great location, professional service and very good food."

  • "There are two main attractions for the The Granary, a great location and fantastic food. The service staff is very friendly and helpful, but lacks the polish that would match the level of the food and the ambiance. This should by no means discourage someone from going, but a bit of training of the serving staff (timing, familiarity with wine list, presentation of the specials, etc.) would make an already great restaurant nearly perfect. The manager Bryan creates a great relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and unlike some of the other restaurants in Jackson, one never feels like the restaurant is gunning to flip the tables. We would recommend at least one visit to The Granary for anyone visiting the area."

  • "Had a great holiday dinner with our family. Food was top notch. Best turkey dinner I've had in years. Staff was friendly and helpful, extremely attentive... well worth the $$$$."

  • "Entree's were outstanding! Cajun rubbed elk was delicious, the venison special was amazing as well. Caesar salads were good a little simple in taste? Wine list was general but still great selections. It would have been nice to see some alternate options? Service was outstanding, Best view in the valley- get there prior to sunset!"

  • "We've been there several times over the years, and 20 plus years later, they still haven't missed a beat; best restaurant view in Jackson Hole hands down, nice atmosphere, quiet, efficient friendly service, and absolutely terrific food--ask for the Cajun spiced elk tenderloin--never had it better!!"

  • "We were in Jackson Hole to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. The Granary was an excellent choice for the occasion. The ambiance is "Jackson Hole casual" meaning upscale but you can wear your nicest jeans. Our server, Colby, was attentive to our needs and the overall service was impeccable. The food met our expectations for the price point and I would highly recommend The Granary to anyone looking for a fine dining experience and beautiful Teton views."

  • "Nice music in small lounge and great view, of course."

  • "We had our last dinner of our vacation at The Granary, and it was fantastic. My wife and I both had the elk tenderloin. If you've never had elk, you are missing a treat. The meat is tender and mild. This particular iteration came with mashed potatoes and carrots with a savory gravy. It was simply the best elk we have ever had. We love this restaurant (have eaten here many times over the years). We made our reservation early so that when we arrived, we were given a picture window table. You will not find a more entrancing view with dinner anywhere. We watched the sunset behind the Tetons as red-tailed hawks flew overhead. When in Jackson Hole do not pass an opportunity to dine here. Choose either the dining room or bar."

  • "The view is just unbelievable: you are perched on top of a mountain looking right at the Grand Tetons at sunset. It takes your breath away. The food is OK;: price relevant to quality. My wife ordered a pasta dish and asked that it not be too oily. That request was basically ignored, although the pasta was tasty. My trout was beautifully prepared. We don't eat meat; when you are in Wyoming meat reigns supreme so we didn't test the meat preparation and cannot comment. The coffee was weak; we are coffee lovers and hate to finish a meal on this note. Desert was fresh berries on a pastry with a nice sauce and it was very good. Wine list was decent, as was the list for wines by the glass. All said we would go back on our next trip."
