An outstanding bistro!This was a most pleasant experience for my wife and me. The food was delicious and the service friendly, accommodating, and prompt despite the Mothers Day crowd. We split the crab cakes appetizer and feasted respectively on the salmon and scallops entrees. Excellent wine list including Santa Margherita pinot grigio, which for me is "top of the line." Came back for late night dessert in lounge area...a little stuffy, but very good service and wonderful dessert. My companion and I both had the small filet mignon and a tossed green salad. The wine list was not too extensive, just about right. The servers were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a pleasant dinning experience. The swordfish was moist and delicious as was the Boeuf Bourguignon.

The sole was lightly coated and cooked to perfection - a generous portion atop parmesan risotto.. The pasta with shellfish was plentiful and fresh, and the duck confit was well-prepared; it would have been better accompanied with risotto rather than parsnips. As for the dessert, we shared a cannoli and a flourless chocolate cake; both very well prepared. There is a good selection of wines, with affordable prices. A very pleasant evening. As is often the case, a table for two is synonymous with sitting closer to the table next door than your dinner-mate. Food was pretty good but not fabulous. This was our second visit within the past month or so and ran into the same situation both times. We had a 7PM reservation for 4 and we didn't get seated until 7:45PM. Both evenings there were some large groups that were finished but weren't leaving and it had tables backed up. The manager was very apologetic and made uor wait in the bar enjoyable. They did not charge us a corkage fee for our own wine and gave us a dessert. Overall, wonderful experience. Food was awesome. We'd certainly go back again.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
