  • "Lebanon has an oldie but goodie in the Golden Lamb as a place with a Nostalgic past and a stoic presence. Great place for a nice brunch/Lunch for a business meeting setting . The salads were great and the service was par."

  • "We went with friends who were visiting from out of state and had a wonderful experience. We arrived early as we didn't realize the shops in town closed at 5:00 so we decided to have a pre-dinner drink in the tavern after visiting the gift shop. It was very quaint and the service was outstanding. We went upstairs for dinner and the ambience, service and food were perfect! We will definitely be going back."

  • "Went for the burger and beer pairing. The "burger" was BBQ pulled chicken (?) with an IPA. I tried their regular beef burger. Ordered it medium and it came well done. Was still good. Very nice brioche bun and fresh cut fries dusted with parmesan cheese. Delish! Acoustic guitar player in the Black Horse Tavern (the GL's bar) was a nice touch. Gavin the bartender was spot on. Will definitely go again. Menu looked very good!"

  • "We have been visiting the Golden Lamb for brunch lately. The choices are wonderful. I tend to order the omelet with the biscuit and apple butter and the most amazing breakfast potatoes. My husband had the French toast. The coffee is fantastic and our cups were kept full. I love the ambience of the dining room and always take a little tour of the hotel. When you go up to the second floor, you can go outside and sit on the balcony. After your meal, you can stroll around downtown Lebanon and walk off the calories!!"

  • "The food, atmosphere and service is great at the Golden Lamb! If you are north of Cincinnati you have to go. The food was delicious and service was great. After we ate we showed our friends the famous rooms where US presidents and other famous people stayed. This place is a gem, not to be missed!"

  • "We have been there for dinner and now brunch. Dinner was excellent, but brunch a little disappointing just because the menu was a bit limited. We were hoping for something a little more substantial. It was nice... just not something we'll make the extra drive for next time."

  • "This was our first time to Cincinnati so I looked up what to do and this was on the "50 things to do in Cincinnati" It was wonderful food was good and the staff was awesome even though it seemed that they were a little short handed that night. But everyone was working together and didn't miss a beat. Loved it...."

  • "Salad, rolls and dessert were very fresh and tasty. Entree was not good, actually left most of it on the plate. Service and environment were wonderful. For the price especially, having a decent entree seems like a fair expectation."

  • "This place is a conversation waiting to happen! The history behind this place was felt the moment you walk into the building. It is as if spirits from the past are waiting to serve you. The food was wonderful and very filling. Our group was happy with everything that was brought to the table and the service was excellent to. Really glad we finally achieved eating here! It met our expectations and then some."

  • "My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. The food was great. The atmosphere was great. There's even a historian that came to our table to answer any questions that we had about the place. After dinner we took advantage of the open invitation to walk around the hotel and see some of the history behind the oldest hotel/restaurant in Ohio."

  • "As always, the Golden Lamb was as good as it has ever been. The Cornish Hen and Filet were fantastic. The service impeccable. We stayed at the hotel as well and if you ever get close to Lebanon, OH, do yourself a favor, spend the night, enjoy the food and walk around the historic city. We chose the George W. Bush room."

  • "Some of the best service I have ever had anywhere. Staff was exceptionally friendly and knew exactly what to recommend, appetizers, meals, and drinks. The food was delicious from start to finish, all four courses. When my husband's steak came out well done, he wasn't going to complain because it still tasted fantastic despite being over cooked. Our waiter noticed the steak and brought him out a whole extra meal cooked to request without us mentioning anything. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. "

  • "We held our 25th anniversary dinner here. There were 7 of us in total. We had planned that everyone would pay for their own dinner. However we found out that the other 3 parties had planned 2 pay for our dinners. The waiter offered to devide our two dinners between the 3 checks! We had a very nice appetizer, salad and then main course. All of our wine or drinks were very good. Our food was extremely good & our 2 desserts topped of the night. We were sad that we missed the gift shop once again. It was a great night for our special occasion. "

  • "This charming inn, which has been around since 1802, is really a gem. The menu selections are diverse, and both the preparation and presentation were superb. The waiter who served us was attentive, but not overbearing, and he made some excellent suggestions with respect to menu items. We had the lamb shank and the scallops, and both were excellent. Although it's a bit off the beaten path, I would return in a heartbeat."

  • "We celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary here for lunch. The food was outstanding (1803 chicken salads all around) and the service was excellent. Their were many people there eating - small groups and large, but the room did not seem overcrowded and we did not feel neglected. Loved the experience."

  • "It was our first time at the Golden Lamb and we were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service, great food and unique ambiance. We were seated at a table in a warmly lit dining area and welcomed with a tasty relish and bread tray. We ordered our meals and our salad was brought to us along with a generous basket of warm rolls, complete with butter and apple butter . . . delicious! Both of our meals were plated beautifully and were quite good, although it would be nice if there were a few more vegetarian-friendly options to choose from. A friendly man approached the table and informed us that he was the Golden Lamb's historian, and he gave us a quick historical background of the inn and let us ask some questions too. A great experience!"

Everything about the Golden Lamb is great and I can not wait to return. The food is fantastic and the prices are very good. This last time I had a party of 7 and we all enjoyed everything."

  • "Took my wife for Brunch for our Anniversary. First time visitor and was very impressed. Our server (Steve) was by far the bst w have ever had whil dining out. He was friendly, there when we needed something, but did not "hoover" and make us feel uneasy. Had the chicken and it was just like grandma's. We would highly reccommend this restaurant to anyone. Beautiful meal, setting and people for our beautiful day!"

  • "This is the first time that I was able to dine at The Golden Lamb and enjoyed every minute of it. It was quiet and had a very relaxing atmosphere. The interior design of the restaurant made great ambiance. We noticed that you didn't feel crowed. The tables were not on top of each other like other restaurants. Our meal was delicious and the serving staff was friendly and efficient. Another thing that was noticed was that everyone was smiling. Overall... a very enjoyable dining experience. 5 Stars Thank you. I will be back!"

  • "We enjoyed going to the Golden Lamb for many years. It was one of wife's favorites, especially in the Fall which is when we were married and is her birthday. The last several years, however, the quality and the service declined substantially. It was apparent that the restaurant we adrift. As a result we stopped going. Good news! We gave it a try now that it is under new Management, and we are glad we did. Higher quality level and culinary sophistication than before, but still retains the traditional favorites. Great service. Great time. Had a nice chat with the General Manager who is working hard to make the GL a great experience. Good job, Rob P. "

  • "We went to the Golden Lamb to Celebrate my Aunt's 70th birthday. I love the history and style of the Golden Lamb. But our lunch was just fair not very good or great or outstanding. The "special shrimp salad" for the day had 3 shrimp and salad mix for 15.95...too pricey for 3 shrimp. My mother's soup and 1/2 sandwich was good and what she expected/ Our desserts were another disappointment. The banana cream pie was too fluffy and yucky...not what I was expecting at all....we ordered 2 of those. We will be back because of the atmosphere and history of the Golden Lamb but will ask about our choices next time."

  • "The food was as advertised, delicious and not as expensive as I thought it would be. We had brunch which offered a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. Wife and daughter ordered breakfast, while I order the prime rib sliders. We asked to keep one of the menus at our table as a lot of the Golden Lamb's history was listed and it was very interesting reading. "

  • "I wish the owners would bring back ambiance it had about 15 years ago. The menu was more family oriented and familiar and I miss some of the favorites. There was a time when part of the ambiance was the wait for the table. Today the wait was not very long because there were few diners on a Saturday night. We enjoyed our meal, but really miss the charm of the past."
