Our menu takes root in flavors and techniques that can be found in Eastern Europe, Spain, Italy, Asia, France, and the Middle East and gives them all a decisively San Diego interpretation. In addition to our cuisine we also offer craft cocktails made with expert techniques and local microbrews that showcase the flavors San Diego has to offer.   • "Went to Mother's Day brunch and had to sit with another family at a table. Waited 30 minutes for the seafood and salad to be replaced, then it was gone before I got back up and waited another 20 minutes. No salad was ever replaced. Only had 1 server at the omelet station so line was too long. Mimosa's were free flowing so that helped a bit."

  • "Terrible experience, they didn't refill the food nearly enough for everyone, took forever refilling drinks also... Advertised bottomless bloody Mary's then suddenly switched it to $5 each, apparently because a bartender called in. The manager called Thomas was rude when I asked for a Bloody Mary. I like the glass door on regular days and for happy hour but I will NEVER go there for brunch again... Definitely not worth the money. "

  • "The biggest redeeming factor for the Glass Door was the lovely view from the outdoor patio. Unfortunately, there is no table seating outside. Just a long bar which makes conversation difficult. The menu was not extensive, and sounded way more interesting than it was. The pork chop, highly recommended by the server, was fine but nothing special. Halibut special was tasty and ahi tuna wrap was very fresh. What's the big deal about the duck fries??? They were just ordinary fries with a bit of shredded duck meat sprinkled on top."

  • "Tried this place after landing from a long flight from NYC. Energy level was good and the scene vibrant. That's where it ended. The service was terrible. I ordered the muscles and for $12 received 12 muscles 2 of which weren't opened. I also ordered the ahi wrap which contained more cabbage than anyone could eat at one sitting and the 2 smallest servings of ahi I have ever seen. They also forgot to put the miso dressing in the wrap so it was increadibly dry. I also ordered a salad with the wrap and was served fries. Needless to say it went back to the kitchen."

  • "We went for brunch at the glass door and the view was amazing. The service was what made the experience so poor. Our waitress was clearly hung over. As each person at our table met her, they all individually said that. Then we overheard her speaking with another worker about how she went big last night. Did not check on the table, did not come back to refill drinks, we had to literally flag her down for ever need. The food was pretty good, however none of the stations for brunch were refreshed and everything was picked over. The food and atmosphere were enjoyable for when spending $600 for brunch for 6 people you would expect at least decent service. "

  • "If you are going for breakfast on a Saturday, be sure to get there before 10am because that is when breakfast ends. We had vouchers for a complimentary breakfast and went down 10:30am and were told breakfast was over and "brunch" started at 10am. Even McDonald's serves breakfast until 11am. It would have been nice if this information was provided on the vouchers we received."

  • "I like this place. My swordfish was terrific, and my companion's hamburger looked good. Great view. It was a little cold to eat outside but on a warmer day that would be fun. Our server was smart, funny, and cool - someone I'd enjoy knowing personally. Parking's always iffy in Little Italy, but eventually something opens up. I'll go again and again."

  • "I arrived 20 minutes early for a 7pm reservation. I told the hostess I would be at the bar. At 7:10 I hadn't heard anything so I approached the hostess about when a table would be available. She was annoyed I approached her because she was busy. She said she had a short table by the door and I asked why we couldn't be seated at one of two larger high tables. She said they were reserved so I said I would wait for a high table. After 20 minutes of no one using the reserved tables she split up the high tables and put one by the door. It was cold out and the door kept opening. She had an attitude and was more busy talking with the staff and flirting."

  • "Our service was spectacular - it was a slower Saturday morning than I expected here with the Farmer's Market going on, but our girl was great at taking care of us. Bottomless mimosa brunch is also nothing to scoff at! Food was a delight - my boyfriend's breakfast burrito just fell apart instantly which was a bummer, but the taste was great! View is also well worth a visit to sit out on the patio overlooking the Little Italy skyline over the ocean. Night times here for dinner are awesome too - they have a ton of lanterns decorating the cieling which provides a wonderful ambiance."

  • "The Glass Door was a wonderful surprise. After arriving later than expected, we decided to just stay at the hotel instead of looking for another restaurant. We were really impressed with the meal. The flavors were amazing and presentation was done quite well. We are admittedly food geeks from Sonoma County, so we have the opportunity to dine in some incredible restaurants on our home turf. The wait staff is very attentive and provided excellent service. I would invite you to give The Glass Door a try."

  • "Bad brunch. Bad service. The server could care less about his job or his customers. Dropped the food off and never even checked in with us. Didn't clear out plates. The place was not busy yet we still had to wait for so long to get our check. The only good thing was the view...and even that is starting to fade. I was so excited to try The Glass Door and it was such a disappointment. The only good customer service was the valet guy."

The wait time for the food to come out was quite long,but the food and restaurant were well worth it. Also very convenient if you stay at the Porto fino hotel. Prices are pretty decent"

  • "Without a doubt one of the worst restaurants in San Diego. The preset menu for Valentine's Day (70/person) was titled the Aphrodisiac Menu, which left me less excited and more hungry. On the preset menu, there was a small but decent salad, a absolutely horrible lobster tortellini (tortellini to me is pasta, but this wasn't), a mint gazpacho (somehow mint meant melon), and a pear sorbet, with prosciutto and a parmesan crisp. Needless to say, I left the restaurant hungry and poorer by 90 dollars. When I arrived, I stated I had a reservation, I was turned away from valet, which made me late for my reservation and kept my friend waiting. I called the manager and I was told to return to valet and remind the valet I was allowed to park there."

  • "My wife and I went to The Glass Door as an early valentines dinner, and had a good time. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the meal was prepared very well (we had artichoke dip as a starter, with lamb and duck fries for our entree, and maple gelato for dessert). There's a nice view from the heated outdoor bar, which runs the entire length of the outside of the restaurant. Inside, the view is also pretty nice, although you're obviously looking "through" the people sitting at the bar. When we went, there were hardly any other patrons, but that could just be a timing thing. I hope this restaurant does well, since it was a nice experience. Since this is a hotel restaurant, and you enter through the elevator in the hotel lobby."

  • "I had flowers delivered to the restaurant and the staff had them waiting at my table when I arrived. The server was new but was great ! He came to the table often and provided outstanding service. The views from the roof are great with the harbor in view it sets quite a romantic atmosphere. The bartender made a mean drink and when I didn't understand what one of the ingredients where she brought the bottle out and showed us. One of the best restaurants I have been to hands down. If you go order the duck fries! Needless to say our server received a large tip."

  • "The customer service was outstanding! our waitress with the red hair (i cannot remember her name, im bad with names) she was always one step ahead. he was very accomidating to our request and we went back 3 times after. Thank you for the great service and food. Can't wait to go back and visit The only dissapointment was that when we went for dinner I ordered a side of onion rings and you diid'nt have any ranch :( and the bartender she took about 15 minutes to bring me ketchup :( and the onion rings had got a little cold. Aside from that we had brunch twice and our waitress was exceptional"

  • "The food was a bit odd. I had the chicken breast with crunchy potato. The potato was shoe-string, fried, hard and tasteless. Then I ordered a side of mashed potato which was a soup-like purée potato. I was not at all happy with my meal but others who had Scotish Salmon and vegetarian pasta were happy, so maybe it's just me. Overrall, the ambience and view are spectacular and the service was very good and attentive."

  • "Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and it was amazing! Our server was Julia and she was one of the best servers I have experienced in San Diego. We went on a Wed and enjoyed a 1/2 off bottle of wine. The Duck fries appetizer and chicken breast entree were amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "The food and service was on par except for a random waitress that tried to take our plates twice before we were finished. The view is amazing and our server, Ivan, made our brunch a lot of fun. Unfortunately, their Duck Fries are not part of the brunch menu, but their breakfast club was fantastic. Not to mention, bottomless mimosas and bloody mary's for $10 is a must!"
