The GeorgianFirst rate!Outstanding in every way, but with modest prices. Like traveling in first class but at economy fares.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's the very best! The food, the service and the overall atmosphere is simply tops. The entire staff makes guests feel welcome, ready to provide an old-fashioned, gracious dining experience!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply Amazing - and gluten free! What an amazing experience! We wanted to celebrate my daughter's First Eucharist with afternoon tea and I am so happy we celebrated here. I first made the reservation for 4, but had to change it to 5 and they said "no problem" even when I had to change it 3 days before our date. I then told them we were celebrating my daughter's First Eucharist and they were excited that we chose them for our special occasion. I also mentioned that I am gluten free and they were able to accommodate me. How wonderful it was to have afternoon tea with special tea sandwiches with gluten free bread, fresh fruit, sorbet and sweets. It was lovely and delish. I will definitely recommend The Georgian for afternoon tea!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely Room, Impeccable ServiceThe Georgian is for fine, quiet, elegant dining, with highly trained waitstaff and excellent service. It is in a gorgeous room, unlike any other place in the region. Unfortunately, the food is a little irregular - sometimes outstanding, and sometimes very ordinary, with more emphasis on the presentation than the flavors and textures of perfectly cooked food (especially the fish, which is often overcooked). Simple food cooked to perfection is preferable to the fanciest molecular contrivances that seem to be the rage these days; a delectable basil leaf is far tastier than light green unappealing foam made from it. I will be glad when that fad is over.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Georgian is our go-toThe Georgian is our go-to restaurant whenever we attend the symphony. The dining room is elegant and beautiful. The food is excellent and interesting; the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always remember us. We love it.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Gold Standard for SeattleThe Gold Standard for Seattle in the Historic "Grand Dame," Olympic Hotel. The Ambience, Cuisine, and Service, cannot be beat anywhere. One almost feels like they are dining at Versailles.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great time food wasHad a great time food was excellent service very attentive we had a very enjoyable evening, will be back4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMVery elegant location andVery elegant location and beautiful chandeliers.Food was great and service was attentive.
Very highly recommended except...
Another couple brought their too very young children and they actually made less noise than the parents. The parents brought electronic gadgets that were quite disruptive. No these were not cellphones. The had laptops that played music and they left the room and the music continued to play while their devices were unattended. Not a bad experience but not what I was expecting.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAN INCREDIBLE FIRST VISITAN INCREDIBLE FIRST VISIT FOR MY DAUGHTER IN LAW AND OUR WONDERFUL GRANDDAUGHTER, A WONDERFUL RETURN FOR THIS REGULAR DINER AND LOYAL FAN....MWH4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMExceeded our expectations!A truly sophisticated restaurant in downtown Seattle! We enjoyed our meals and the ambiance is outstanding! Excellent for romantic occasions and small group gatherings.
Phenominal service. A must go to place when in Seattle!!!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI came here for restaurantI came here for restaurant week lunch from about 1:00 to 2:00. It was fine. I really liked the shrimp louie salad best. I like the historical old fasheioned fancy ambiance.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Georgian was the bestThe Georgian was the best Restaurant Week I have ever been to! Wonderful service and wonderful food. I will definitely be going back to the Georgian. My boyfriend and I had a marvelous romantic dinner.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMReasonable prices despiteReasonable prices despite such a fancy place. The minestrone soup was only average, but the halibut was cooked well and the tiramisu was outstanding.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth every dime!I can't say enough about this place! The ambiance is beautiful, the food is art and always prepared perfectly. The staff is fun and personable.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe wait staff was wonderful. The wait staff was wonderful. I know that they are making honey on the roof and the server was able to get a small glass of it so that I could use it in my tea.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Meal in SeattleI've been to the Georgian twice now. Once for a celebration dinner and again for Seattle Restaurant Week. Both times were absolutely amazing. I have been to tons of Seattle restaurants and the Georgian is so far the best meal and service I've had.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was superb, the presentationFood was superb, the presentation was also superb! Service was great and everything was great.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMOlympic TreasureI dined here with a friend from Olympia. We both felt the service, ambiance, and food were all outstanding, making this lunch a memorable experience and putting a smile on both our faces! I loved the shrimp Louie, the halibut was marvelous, and presentation of all the dishes exceptional. Desserts are unique.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely a regal restaurantAbsolutely a regal restaurant for the older patron. It is a bit expensive for most of us, but on that special day, it is at the top of the list. We will certainly return.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing, fairy-tale experience.Amazing, fairy-tale experience. I would recommend trying it for lunch on a sunny (OK, slightly overcast) day to fully appreciate the interior - it looks majestic with light bouncing off the walls, windows, mirrors, silver and crystal. And... dress up a bit to make your day special (but you certainly don't have to).4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my third time atThis was my third time at The Georgian and it has always recieved 5 stars before however this time for lunch they had a construction crew on the floor above the restraunt using a jackhammer and although the staff appoligized they had no control over it.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMClassy restaurantWe went here for lunch on Seattle Restaurant Week, we tried more dishes, the white cheddar cheese and the tiramisu were excellent; the portions were perfectly sized, the service courteous, quiet ambiance (a bit too quiet) and nice old fashioned decor. Waiting time was a little long, still we were in no rush. Me and my husband had a pleasant experience and I'll keep this restaurant in mind for special occasions.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDespite in the middle of theDespite in the middle of the Seattle Restaurant Week everything was very nice and pleasant.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything about the GeorgianEverything about the Georgian experience was amazing: from the food to the service to the decor and ambiance. It was such a great deal for Seattle Restaurant Week too! I hope to be back soon for dinner.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was an excellent experienceIt was an excellent experience and the service was fantastic. We were part of Seattle's Restaurant week. The lunch was superb. I felt as though we were having dinner as the portions were not small. One entree item was Halibut and this is the beginning of Halibut season in the Northwest and that was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartly whether or not it was Restaurant Week or not.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait to go back!Went here for restaurant week lunch and found it a delightful gem, spot on in every way. They even had the option of teddy bear pancakes for our daughter who enjoyed every last bite. We will be booking again this week for another incredible lunch...get the halibut, the shrimp louie and the deconstructed key lime pie. Very well put together dishes, with superb presentation and attention to detail. You will not be disappointed!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful atmosphere, goodBeautiful atmosphere, good service and wonderfully prepared food. A memorable dining experience.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBest service hands downWhile the food is excellent it is not "to die for" or "best ever." You'll still have to go to NYC for French food that will blow you (and your budget) away. What I love is the service here--it's the closest thing you'll come in Seattle to some of the best "old school" French restaurants that NYC used to have (La Cote Basque, La Caravelle) but sadly are no more. It is very formal, quiet, inobtrusive, but they make you feel special which is what you want when you are spending hundreds on a special night out. Unlike other Seattle landmarks known for their "good" service, these waiters are friendly enough but aren't trying to be your friend and don't try to be too familiar and chatty like so many other Seattle restaurants. Highly recommended.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great serviceIt's a truly elegant place to be, eat and entertain friends and family! We were greatly disturbed by a group of people who were constantly on the cell phone even while eating...They were having High Tea and did not stop talking on their phone...But it's allowed, according to our waitress, since there are just too many business people patronizing the eatery.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was great, the atmosphereThe food was great, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was impeccable!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a wonderful birthday dinnerHad a wonderful birthday dinner with my wife, two kids, great aunt and mother-in-law. All were very pleased with the entire experience. Food was excellent as you would expect. It was our first time trying The Georgian and we left vowing to return. An additional nice touch was the lemonade selection for making the kids feel they had a special drink other than everyday pop - a nice touch.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautifully presented foodBeautifully presented food and every dish was wonderful. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Will definitely be back.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI love the food and the wineI love the food and the wine pairing! I enjoy my seared scallops especially my strawberry dessert. I did the special 3 course meals with wine pairing for ~$45. I adore the wine. I didn't like my appetizer though (crab cake bisque soup). I felt like it was missing some sort of flavor, but the crab was amazing though. Overall, I enjoy my food and had an amazing experience. I will probably come back to try their afternoon tea.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing service and food was 5*Went here for the 3 for $30 deal and it was outstanding. Salad, filet and dessert for $30 from this place is a steal.
I'll be back to try out their full menu next time.
Oh, the service, probably one of the best in Seattle. The employee to guest ratio when we were there was probably 3:1.3/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best places in townIt's one of the best places to entertain friends. It's a great value with somewhat slower but caring service. The food is always delicious with great selections.3/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGo Go Go!Dine around seattle lunch.
