The Garden Cafe - Grand America HotelAnnual TraditionWe take our Mother to the Garden Cafe every Saturday before Mother's Day. She LOVES it and the buffet is perfectly done. We always appreciate that the manager comes around and asks us how we are liking everything and makes us laugh.

Pleasantly surprised to eat sushi and not just your run of the mill salmon either. No prime rib on the day we ate here, which was disappointing. I cannot remember what cut of meat it was, but it was not QUITE up to par due to the meat not being as tender as I would have liked. Nice selection of sides, a few salads, and five or so different types of cheeses. The pancakes had fresh berries in them, the crepes looked promising, bacon was the good stuff and not overcooked, breakfast potatoes so so. We went last year the day after our wedding and decided it should be a tradition. Everything was just as wonderful as we'd remembered, including the servers/service! We had the same server this year as last year! The variety and quality of foods offered (juice bar, seafood station, traditional breakfast, meats/carving station, desserts, crepes, kids' table) is second to none in Salt Lake City.
