"This restaurant is one of our favorites. It's the 1940s inside, with brass nautical fittings, fishnets and christmas lights on the ceiling, and 1940s photos and memorabilia on the walls. The food is simple and delicioous, good steaks and great seafood of various types. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive, and, very importantly to my view of a restaurant, they have a dense, deep, heavy chocolate cake for dessert (they have other things too but I can't pay attention to them with that cake around). Highly recommended."

"Was very disapointed. The lighting was too dim so it was difficult to see what teh food looked like. We ordered Salmon and Ahi. The filets were too thin to be cooked anything other than very well done. They were dry. The Ahi was overcooked. The veggie menu included "canned corn"! The wine list was scant and grocerie store-esque. Overall just not a good place to go for its location. It clearly is a favortie of the locals, but just lower your expectations. It was 150 bucks with tip for 3 people (two of whom did not drink) - just way too much for very average food."

"Cool place, fun history, but unfortunately the food was lacking. I had grilled Halibut and my husband had seared Ahi. Normally I would taste his food, but after tasting my mine, I didn't want to chance it with the Ahi. The grilled Halibut was rubbery and chewy, quite the opposite of what grilled Halibut should be. My husband loves seared Ahi and he didn't even finish half of the dish. Unfortunately, we will not be going back for dinner; drinks maybe."

"The restaurant is a long time favorite file attending a theatre production at the Edgemar Theatre. I was the only one at the table that was satisfied with the meal. I thought the white fish was done perfectly. One member of the party didn't like the trout and another thought the steak was chewy and had too much fat. Our service person was delightful."

"Wanted to do something spontanous for valentines day and decided to drive from vegas to cali. I checked out open table for seafood restaurants mear the beach and dound that thia reataurant had great reviews so i took a chance. The Apmosphare was great! The service was friendly, helpful, and quick! The food was delicious ! It was well worth the drive :) I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would definitely be visiting again!"
