The Frog and the PeachAwesome PlaceI took my girlfriend here for a long over due date night and it couldn't have went any better. The food was fantastic, the wine was great, and our servers were very friendly and helpful. They also seemed to show genuine interest in the food that was being served which was very nice to see. The wait for the food was a little on the long side but there was what seemed to be a HUGE birthday party being hosted there so it was completely understandable. Overall, The Frog and The Peach was an excellent dining experience that I would definitely recommend to family and friends!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMStaff were knowledgeable andStaff were knowledgeable and interactive, food was delicious and overall an excellent evening6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experienceThe menu is always changing and always wonderful. Cute, cozy place that's great for a date, for business, or to enjoy a special occasion.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistentAnticipating a great meal and receiving a great meal was certainly accomplished. It's nice to explore the specials and the food left nothing by great flavor to taste. This is not a quiet place and is expensive, but worth the visit.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTucked Away TreasureFrom the moment you walk through the door until you leave, you will be treated to a wonderful dining experience. Imaginative and well executed menu with careful attention to wine pairings; thoughtful and discreet service. Stuffed saddle of rabbit was exquisite. Put this restaurant on the top of your "to go" list and go again and again. I know I will.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeOur entire meal from beginning to end was nothing short of fantastic! We enjoyed cocktails, wines, appetizers, dinner, desserts and coffee and everything was a tasteful delight. The servers are very knowledgeable and helpful with food and beverage selection! Our anniversary was made even more special with a celebratory dessert.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredibleLoved the six course with wine pairing. Our waiter was knowledgeable about our sherries and explained each one before pouring. The food was absolutely delicious.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, Great ServiceI loved the relaxed feel of this place. We were not rushed at all which meant we could enjoy the great food. The Gnocchi, Sashimi, Duck and Scallops were all outstanding. The other dishes the Group had were all excellent as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFlaggedThe dinner and service was great. However, having the American Flag outside hanging backwards is a "no-no". It was also hanging right over the bench for smokers6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat summer foodWe enjoyed several innovative dishes - duck, goat and rabbit. Portion sizes were just right and bursting with flavor. The server recommended a wine that was perfectly paired with the food. Our meal was enjoyed outside on the patio. Overall it was a great experience.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMParty of sixVery Good food.....Very Good Service.....for Dinner Service.......so good we went back
for lunch the following day.....5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMconsistently excellentI have eaten at the Frog and Peach at least a half-dozen times and every meal has been excellent. In town this weekend for the Rutgers commencement, my wife and graduating daughter and I enjoyed another excellent meal, with a great wine, a Haut-Medoc bordeaux. Hard not to like that with a tenderloin. My wife enjoyed her lamb, the daughter the Griggstown chicken breast, and the truffle risotto starter was top notch. Definitely a standout restaurant, though a bit less formal than Restaurant Nicholas in Red Bank.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMRomance in Central Jersey!Beautiful, long standing restaurant - our personal favorite for over a decade - still has the quiet flavor of romance and fun blended together with great food, good service and a lively, attractive crowd.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Mothers Day ExperienceTook my wife, 2 daughters and grandchild. Staff was exceptional and accommodating, service was attentive and food was not only great but fun. Menu was pre-fixe with good choices and dessert was wonderful. One small mixup with our espresso order which was gernerously comped. Considering this was Mothers Day, this was exceptional and made a very special day for us even more special. Thanks to Anna and Mike for their attentive service and good humor on what I am sure was a long and hectic day!!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food, Great ServiceThe menu was spectacular and the service was even better. Mike, our waiter, was knowledgeable not only about the menu but also about the wine list and was most helpful in helping us pair our meals with fantastic wine. A top notch experience.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect....as usual! We contemplate going other places for our birthday or anniversary, but in the end we go back to the best!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMVery satisfyingMy wife, college age daughter, her friend and I had a pre-mother's day dinner at this restaurant. We were seated immediately at the time of the reservation. The restaurant was busy, the seating is somewhat cramped in areas so while the space is quaint it can be somewhat less than comfortable from a seating perspective. The service was marginally attentive through out, somewhat detached, while drink and bread refills needed to be requested at times. This isn't an excuse but it might be the kind of place where the service becomes more friendly for repeat diners. We all ordered from the "pre-theater" menu and the food was excellent without exception. The overall bill was reasonable for the quality of food maybe not for the service..5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAttentive service and great foodWe had tickets to an 8 o'clock show and quickly realized that we perhaps had not given ourselves enough time. We mentioned this to our waiter and he told us he would ask the kitchen to move quickly on our orders. We really appreciated that and we made it to our show just in time. The food was excellent. Next time we will leave ourselves plenty of time so we can savor every bite.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a favoriteThe Frog and the Peach is consistently wonderful. It is one of our favorite places to dine - creative delicious combinations, lovely service and a great wine list. Always a great selection whether you want fish, fowl, meat or vegetarian. And don't miss the crmem brulee - it is the best anywhere!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent serviceOutstanding service and ambience created a perfect date night experience, despite slightly over salted entrees. Highly recommend!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFine meal, just not greatExpected an exceptional meal, and although food and service were fine, it was not particularly noteworthy. Also, we were stuck in a small are with only one other table, and the room was claustrophobic. Certainly lacked ambiance.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAll was great! The only issueAll was great! The only issue - which is not the fault of TFATP is the nightmaric parking situation that is New Brunswick on a busy lunchtime afternoon. When I am in New Brunswick for business I would go here for sure, but not sure I would venture into the city from out of town to eat here. Too much of a hassle. Fabulous restaurant though. Easily New Brunswick's best. Great dining experience and an excellent staff.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and ambiance were veryFood and ambiance were very good. Seems over priced for what it was.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMUnderwhelmedThe ambiance and service was fantastic, but we were underwhelmed by the food. The appetizers were delicious as expected. The grilled Kale and Endive Salad is very special with its slice of Monte Enebro and dried cherries. However, our entrees were unfortunately quite mediocre. I had the Crispy Local Jumbo Fluke, which was not crispy, but instead greasy and heavy and served with overcooked soba noodles. My spouse had the Duck Breast, which was wonderfully prepared and served with a delicious Thai inspired sauce. However, the sticky rice was not glutenous rice, nor even basmati, but rather some form of Uncle Ben's rice. The Griggstown Chicken was dry and unevenly cooked. Dessert was good, but not terribly inspired.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThanks fir being so accomodating!Great service and maitre'd.....excellent but somewhat pricey4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOur experience was great. Our experience was great. Especially our server, Steven. He made the whole evening exceptional!!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAdventurous vegetarians & omnivoresGreat place: flexible menu options for vegetarians & both conservative & adventurous omnivores. My wife had savory carrot & lentil soup, the most tender organic chicken breast every roasted & a chocolate banana bread. I had 6 course tasting menu including octopus salad, roasted pork & some wonderful cheese but a disappointingly banal fig bread pudding. Each course artfully plated. The mix of flavors, textures, aromas & colors were well balance so that the courses (all but the fig bread pudding) played well together. The service, including the valet parking (no parking lot at the restaurant that we could see) was very good, sufficiently attentive but not exceptional. The noise level too high & the tables overly crowded for true comfort.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFood presentation and qualityFood presentation and quality were outstanding; the service was excellent. The only complaint is that we were not given a choice in terms of seating and were seated in the garden room when there was space available in the main dining area.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMA few good dishes. The chickenA few good dishes. The chicken and steak was fantastic. The creme brûlée was delectable. Flatbread was not amazing as I would hope and the banana bread was ok. I was expecting a much nicer decor for the prices. Only when I left did I see the outdoor/indoor area and thought wow that would have been nice. So make sure to request that seating. And the pre-theater menu (until 6:30) is the way to go. $42 per person makes it much more affordable.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExperience Frog and the PeachDined for lunch. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman w/a beaming welcoming smile who offered to check our coats, then led us to our table. The prices were extremely reasonable for the items on the menu. I feel foodies will love FnP's incredibly delicious infused butters & the staff is not shy about divulging the ingredients, IF you ask questions & show interest in what you are eating. The staff is eager to please and quite knowledgeable about the food served. I highly recommend Frog & Peach to people who love amazing food!3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBeing a person of very fewBeing a person of very few words, everything was terrific as usual.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
