A word from The Forge
In honour of The Forge’s 40th Anniversary in 2009, The Forge closed for a major renovation that would last almost a year. The result: an inspired farm-to-table menu and lifestyle approach to dining are all elements of The Forge’s new attitude. The award-winning restaurant has undergone a total makeover, the overall design and décor executed by Francois Frossard. walls of hand-carved blonde wood and antique smoked mirror, octopussian lilac and white crystal chandeliers, and an eclectic mix of upholstered and metal furniture. The elimination of more than 100 seats has created the ambiance of a large private home where every diner’s seat is “the best in the house.” The open floor plan of the 6,000-square-foot space allows guests to see and be seen.Executive Chef Dewey LoSasso presents a 65-item menu broken down by Savory Snacks, Starts, Pastas, Grains & Risotto, Principal Meats, Principal Fish & Crustaceans, Salads and Sides. Enomatic's offer guests 80 wines by the ounce.

Diner Reviews
  • "wonderful experience, great food and great service and great Ambience. strongly recommend the Sea Bass and the lamb chops and of course the chocolate soufflé. this is not your everyday restaurant, very high end and pricey so really for a special occasion. not sure about the picture of the man in the alligator mouth in the men's washroom. • "Very poor service from the waitress....she did not know how to speak to people nor was she knowledgable about the menu. It's a shame that poor customer service had to rewarded with 20% gratuity that was already included in the bill. I will never go back to this restaurant"

  • "Our main waiter and bus boy were good. But, one of the bus boys overheard one of us speaking in Spanish and found it necessary to interrupt our dinner to talk about himself. Two of our glasses were cracked, which could have seriously injured us. My dad ordered his steak medium well and I ordered mine medium. When the bus boy set down the plates, he told my dad "medium well." Not true - he mixed them up and we of course didn't notice after each taking a bite. We switched, but had that not been a family dinner, our dinner would have been ruined. In short, I'd say good food with decaying service."

  • "The ambiance was fantastic. The staff were very nice, gave us the history of the restaurant and tour of the restaurant. Amazing food"

  • "Food was very good. Nice surroundings. I think a 20% automatic gratuity for a party of 2 is excessive."

  • "Brought my fiancee to The Forge for her birthday during our trip to Miami, and we were thoroughly impressed. The interior of the restaurant is funky and elegant, matching the menu and quality of food. Everything we had was very good, especially the ceviche. Would definitely recommend stopping by for a special occasion or for a night out with friends (nearly every table has couch seating!)."

  • "Dinosaur best describes this restaurant. What once was, is definitely not.Old crowd with new music.Food, mediocre at best. Unshareably small sides.Service all over the place.Would not waste the $$$$$ again."

  • "The Chilean Sea Bass was cooked wonderfully but the tomato paste it came with was a joke and tasted like it came out of a cane."

  • "Very romantic but should be for special occasion since it is pricy. Great service"

  • "Excellent service and food at The Forge restaurant. From table my party and I were seated to the overall ambience. The server made excellent suggestions, even when it was his first day on the job. It is pricey so leave it for very special occasions. The decor and mood is in grand style yet patrons came dressed in Tux and Evening gowns to nice casual. It is a place for large events in other rooms, but no noise was noted or disturbance to the main dining room. I highly recommend The Forge, my 4th time there, first time for my guests."

  • "all in all the food is good and the choice is quite creative, the wine list is too expensive, however."

  • "you add 20% to the check automatically; is that still legal ? I do not think so. WE were party of 4. This way, you can not show to the personnel your appreciation. Mike was ok. Susan"

  • "The Forge's food and service are impeccable. I went with a group of 7 people, and we all had an awesome experience. Everyone found something on the menu to their liking (and the dishes all tasted amazing), and all of the servers were incredibly helpful and friendly. The decor and atmosphere were so unique and beautiful. We absolutely will be returning to the Forge in the future!"

  • "March 15th would've been my fourth time at Forge and it always exceeded my expectation. Love the place. Took my cousin for her birthday and our waiter was awesome. She loved it and now she'll be back and she'll recommend others and that's how trend starts. Keep it up Forge!!"

  • "Large restaurant filled with beautiful people. It takes time for the food to arrive, this is a dining experience, Wine list is one of the best in Miami. Service is very professional, Gratuity of 20% is added to every bill."

  • "Great for Dinner. I just took some business associates, and they loved it. Definitely a must for the near future."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "It was the single worst dining that we have ever had. The tip is included regardless of party size as a result it was abysmal. Bathroom was gross, and that was the men's room. Lobster bisque was tasteless. Literally. By the time the entrees arrived we has lost our appetite and had about three bites and were done. We even cancelled our soufflé being that we were going on 2 hours. This was an awful experience. We frequent many of the restaurants in Miami and were left shocked. Perhaps this is the reason the place was half empty."

  • "My problem was the menu was and the was too complicated. If the steak is good and prepared properly is does not need other ingredients or add ons. The menu was so complicated I did not know what to order. The Forge is a landmark in MB and based on my last visit sadly I don't think it will b around much longer."

  • "Not really sure what this restaurant is trying to be -- it "used" to be a steakhouse, the decor is an odd mix, and the menu has an assortment of steaks, seafood, and a fusion of everyone else. Your bill will be outrageous, and for that the service and food should be better."
    Dined on 3/11/2014
  • "This restaurant has a weird 'Alice in Wonderland' meets 'haunted house' style decor. Lots of odd light fittings! I knew we were in trouble when I saw the chipped paint on the dining chairs and the plastic faux votive candles! The food was at the very lowest end of mediocre. The tuna tartare and ceviche were bland and the green beans tasted like they had bottled sweet chile sauce on them - ditto the pomegranate glazed lamb ribs…definitely tasted like it was out of a jar. Our waiter was attentive to the point of annoyance. This is one restaurant to be avoided."

  • "Dined at the Forge for the first time after hearing so much about it. Very Nice restaurant and Bar. I thought this was a top Steak restaurant...maybe I was misled. I had a Sirloin that was average for a restaurant of this caliber. Cooked perfect but I found the quality of meat not at the level of other Elite steakhouses. Maybe is was just my steak that night. Appetizers were tasty. The service was top notch and their wine list is amazing. If you are looking for a top end restaurant and want to spend $$$$$ then I'd say it's worth a try at least once Glad I went as we had a nice time but I think I would try other spots before I went back."

  • "The Forge was one of our favorite restaurants. We ordered two main dishes. The filet mignon came smothered in a sauce which ruined the favor of the meat. The duck dish presentation was sparse and non attractive. We ordered a side dish of hericort verte which was also covered with a sauce that took away the taste. We enjoy well presented and flavored food. The forge missed on both counts."

  • "Disappointed after hearing all the hype. These guys don't know the meaning of simplicity. Every dish had way too much going on. They food just seems haphazardly thrown together. Gnocci was more like goulash. When putting meats into a dish, try removing the chewy chunks fat. Burger also way too much going. The meat was "meh." Get creative and create a blend, something that comes together in a special way inside your mouth. Beets might have been the best part of the meal but again they don't need to be smothered in blue cheese. Summation: USE BETTER INGREDIENTS & KEEP DISHES SIMPLE. I recall that these guys sued Iron Chef Marc Forgione because his place was called "Forge" in NYC. That's just lame and not surprisingly, the food followed suit."

  • "The food has definitely gone down hill. The grouper and filter mignon were less than stellar. For a great steak go to BLT steak instead. The crowd was also.a lot of Russians and their "paid"dates. No longer a family place."

  • "Food was great, but service was horrible. Got the distinct feeling that our waiter forgot to put our order in as we waited for 45 minutes for our meal and then another hour for the Soufflé."
    Dined on 2/22/2014
  • "Great Service, nice atmosphere for couples. however, the Menu isn't kid friendly, a bit too expensive with a limited menu variety. I think the restaurant is a bit overrated."

  • "The Forge was the very best place we ate on our recent Miami Beach vacation. The decor was over-the-top and yet it was not stuffy or pretentious. The service was perfect. We had delicious perfectly prepared fish entrees. We would put it first on our list if we return to the area."

  • "This place is an experience. Everywhere you look is a part of history. We had an extremely knowledgable waiter who shared lots of interesting tidbits about the history and the art. This, on top of, the phenomenal food made our 27th anniversary a very memorable one! The wine cellar is amazing!"

They re-modeled the place and it is still as elegant and tastefully decorated as ever! The food was amazing, the service was fantastic. I tried the lobster peanut butter and jelly sandwich and it was surprisingly great! I will definitely go back."
