  • "We had brunch at the flying fig and I rate it as good. The food was good with interesting options. The waitress was helpful with suggestions and the food was out timely after being served bread with apple butter, which was quite delicious. Both dishes were solid but not wowing (we had the goat cheese polenta and huevos rancheros). The tables were very close together and the turn over was very rapid. I never was offered a refill on my coffee despite the table next to me getting refills. Overall I was satisfied, staff was friendly, but did feel a bit rushed."

  • "The Flying Fig had it all! Super location.. great food... outstanding service! The food is from all local farms and markets which gave the dishes that fresh out of the kitchen taste! Atmosphere in and out reminded us of the wonderful old neighborhoods we all loved. Parking is a challenge but you just have to be patient and look around the area because the walk from Your car is great to take in what is going on in Ohio City. Nose level in the Fig makes a conversation a little tough when they are busy. A real gem and a must do for visitors and locals ... thanks for a great Brunch!!"

He's a very low key kind of guy and it was just the two of us. He's not the kind of person who has a favorite of almost anything, but is quick to tell friends or anyone who asks what an enjoyable experience we have had each visit. Thank you for maintaining your high standards. We'll be back."

Long, unexplained wait for appetizers, entrees for another table brought to us, then another long, unexplained wait for entrees, dessert never arrived, water glasses refilled once over about two hour dinner. Food spilled on one guest, no comp offers."

The silverware was dirty so when I asked for another fork and knife they forgot and my food came and it sat while we tried to get someone to get another set. My $9.00 salad was disappointing. The hanger steak and fries were good. The pasta was a little better than average."

I don't know where she orders it from or if they make it in house but it was super creamy and paired with eggplant with mint and chili as well as arugula with a bit of olive oil and honey. Great mix of flavors. Very good green salad, really fresh. We each had the salmon, it was a bit sweet for me but my companion liked it. "

  • "Our reservations were early, bartender and waiter were excellent and made us welcome and were helpful and knowledgeable. We got a table in the back so we could chat and at first it was quiet and great for conversation. As the place filled up it got noisier and by the time we left it was difficult to carry on a conversation. So, if you want to chat, go early or maybe sit outside, weather permitting. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and will be back."

  • "We enjoyed the Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates along with the Tempura Fried Green Beans to start. I don't like dates, but wrapping it in bacon mixed in with sausage tastes AWESOME! I don't like green beans either, but wrapping it in tempura does wonders to it - just the right amount of tempura wrapping too! The server (Randy) was great as I said I like sweet drinks & recommended the Safflower, but made it sweeter just for me. We had the Burger & Pork Loin for Dinner with Brussel Sprouts! The burger was AH-MAZING & was like eating a delicious steak! The Pork Loin was juicy & I couldn't stop eating it. The Brussel Sprouts has bacon in it & a sauce that was to DIE for! We had Chocolate Oblivion for Dessert & that was RICH & DELICIOUS! AWESOME SPOT"

We had a group of 6 on Easter and those who had never eaten in Flying Fig were very impressed and are already asking when we can return. Service was first rate, drinks were excellent and I can't way enough about the food. We had a great time and plan to return. "

  • "Quiet atmosphere. Great food. We took some friends of ours who had never been and they really enjoyed it. I got the Chicken Paillard which I still can't stop thinking about. It was a simple dish of breaded chicken with brussel sprouts, parsnip purée and a roasted lemon but the flavored just blended so well that made the dish just stand out. The bartender also mixed drinks perfectly. I highly recommend this Cleveland gem to everyone!"

  • "Went to Flying Fig for apps, drinks and dessert. Very good beer and wine by the glass choices. Our server Ray was awesome. Food choices were excellence. We loved the calamari special. We were seated in the room in the back to the right. Not much ambience and it was very warm because it was close to the kitchen. The butterscotch pudding dessert was good but the olive oil cake was bland and too dense. A great option in the West 25th area and we will definitely be back!"
