Clean, nice presentation for this restaurant. Good place to take clients for lunch that is upscale enough, but not overly stuffy. Lunch faire included everything from personal sized pizzas (quite large actually) to fish entrees and salads. Thus, whether a meat eater, or a salad eater, you could find something to taste. Food was good, not great. Certainly tasty and with some tables sporting a nice view out the window, certainly worth trying for lunch or dinner before a show, date night, etc. Bar set-up in middle of second-floor room could be nice for a quiet group get-together as well.

Carbonara was really in need of an acid. Trout was tasty but dry. Service was uncomfortable and condescending. Perhaps he was unhappy we didn't all want 3 courses? Dunno. But the cocktails were good.

A very nice and attentive staff. Food is good but I expect "wow" at these prices. Decor more on the eclectic side and very noisy. A large bar with loud music at the center. Gourmet Italian for lack of a better term, some unique secondi dishes in particular. Seems to be catering primarily to the Hotel Bar crowd rather than local "Foodies" . Understandable, but undermines the food potential.

The french toast here is to die for! I love this place for breakfast and always recommend it not only for a personal dining experience but also for client meetings. The decor is tasteful and the staff is friendly. It's an all around great choice - a bit pricey - but great non the less.

I have been to Florentine for business meals several times. The ambiance is nice, but the food is uninspiring and very expensive/over priced. The location is convenient, but better options exist in the Loop area. Interestingly, the person with whom I ate, shares the same view.
