I am not an oyster freak, but my wife said they were the best she had ever eaten. Her blackened halibut was also very good. Ian, our server from Nova Scotia could not do enough for us...and only at just the right timing. We had been to Glowbal Grill in Yaletown for lunch that day and Russel, our attentive server there, recommended the Fish Shack and he did not steer us wrong. We both ordered the dungeness crab benny and 10 oysters.
Our oysters came out first. The waitress provided up the sauce for the oysters and told us what each one was. As my girlfriend had some "seafood sauce" on her oyster, the sauce turned out spicy. We then realized that both "red" sauces were chilli and not seafood. We told the waitress, changed it and apologized. A few minutes later, she gave us an extra oyster because of the mistake she made, A+ service!
The benny then came out. Everything was amazing except for the egg yolk. We ordered medium poached but it turned out well done. Other than that it was great.
