  • "5 guys, four steaks. beef not up to par for the price. Too much dressing on the caesar salads. Corn chowder was excellent. Shrimp martinis and crab cakes were very good. One of the steaks came out the wrong size and cooked wrong and was an end piece of prime rib. Bill came out overcharging us for a complete prime rib."

  • "the food was gone. I rarely complain or make fuss of food service but I was a bit annoyed this time. For the first 1/2 hour our server came around regularly making sure we were okay. He filled our drinks, brought the bread timely and was very kind. Once the food came he basically never showed up again. We waited longer for our check than the food. 20+ min. Once we finally asked another server to check in on him he came over and we asked for our check. It took what seemed like another 20 minutes (probably 10) to get our check and another 5-10 to settle. Normally we aren't in a big rush when we eat but I would recommend anticipating someone wanting their check 20 minutes into them getting their food and having it ready to go."

  • "My husband says that The Final Cut has the best steaks in town. I will say as a vegetarian I don't know. However, I will say they are VERY accomadating to me when we go there. They don't have and vegetarian entrees on the menu, but have always been happy to make me a wonderful pasta dish. I'm sure if I wanted something else & they had it they would make it. The staff is very professional & friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone."

  • "The food was excellent, with the exception of the beef wellington appetizer. I didn't think that dish had shredded beef, disappointing. Also burnt my hand on the french onion crock. First I wasn't warned that it was hot and the handle should have been covered as I burned myself when I moved it out of my way. The soup was very good, though."

  • "Our party of 6 all very much enjoyed our meals. They prepared a steak exactly how it was ordered to be cooked (very few places have this perfected). The sea bass is so amazing, I can't not order it every time I go here; I just hope everyone else orders something different so I can try a bite of theirs. The service, as always, was great. The only thing that held me back from rating it as outstanding is the poor selection in beer. This seems petty, but like wine, I like my meal to be paired with a variety of beer options."

  • "Had my first dinner at Final Cut since rebranding from Kelly English. Ordered the fish special (striped bass). Fish was OK - not exactly fishy but not as clean tasting as it could have been. The bed of potatoes and vegetable upon which the fish was served was quite good. Next time I'll try a steak - after all, this is a steak house. Service was great - perfect waitress."

  • "While being seated, there were 2 booths across from our table. We asked for a booth but for some reason the hostess wouldn't give us one. No one ever sat there. The service by Alita was excellent. This was our first visit since the name change from Kelly English. The price was much higher on the steaks. They said it was a better cut but I doubt it. Plus they made the salad a la carte. They no longer give the cheese spread and no longer have the very tasty horseradish mashed potatoes."

  • "I had the boneless ribeye. The steak was ordered medium to medium rare. Came medium to well. The bernaise sauce was lukewarm to room temperature. The steak was nothing note worthy but barely comparable to what you would find at any common chain steakhouse at twice + the price. Very little taste and the meat was tough. I did not finish it and took the remainder home. My dinner companions had the prime rib and they said it was "good." The dining room was "cold"! I had to ask for the check. While waiting for our check to be handed back I watched the waiter bus a table first, then come over with the check. Not good! If I didn't have comp dollars this would NOT be where I would spend my money. Not a designation spot for steaks."

  • "The service and food were excellent. The sweet potatoe casserole was a hit with my husband and son. They will go back just to get that. We tried a number of items on the menu from appetizers to entree's to side dishes to dessert. We do not normally eat dessert at restaurants; however, do not miss out on this course. "while the restaurant is a little pricey, we found it worth every cent!"

  • "This was my first experience at Final Cut...I went with a friend to celebrate my birthday. The service was fine...the waitress was friendly and attentive as were the servers who cleaned off the dishes and poured the tea...but, I was really disappointed in my steak. I ordered the 8 0z. filet. Medium...it was well or at least medium well, I felt like I was cutting against the grain...I could not finish it which was a shame considering it was expensive. It was more like a good pot roast than a steak."

We both had steak and we like our steaks prepared differently. The chef did a great job of cooking them to our specifications. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant.   • "The large windows seem to take away from the ambience. The tables in the middle of the floor takes away from the privacy. People are walking to and from, waiters, buss boys, hostesses. The hostess was snappy and arrogant. She came from the Producer lounge and she had an attitude there, why you would have put her in a more elusive environment is beyond me."

  • "Kelly English was a much better Steakhouse and restaurant but the Final Cut was good Menu was not as exciting as the Kelly English menuCaesar Salad presention was sloppy and way too much Parmesan crisp used! Sides were expensive and grilled asparagus was overcooked old and awful! It should have been brilliant green & crunchy w grill marks Also a thicker spear would have been better Plates looked empty w no garnishes and sloppy w juices running all over Don't copy a steakhouse and such a lousy job! Our server was Excellent! Would not rush back better places to go in STL!"

  • "Dissapointed. The restaurant looks terrific and has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately the service was slow. Waited roughly 15 minutes for a drink, never was asked if I would like another drink, and waited 20 minutes to receive my bill (with no drink or food in front of me). Steak was dry and without sauce had very little flavor."
