"We where very disappointed in the food. Texture, taste and proper cooking, the only thing we ate completely was the cheese plate, and that's not saying much since they don't make that. Sorry."

"My husband and I loved Nibblers. We were very disappointed with The Fig Tree. The food was mediocre and a uncreative. The only consistency between the two place was the staff -- friendly and attentive as always."

"Overall the decor was very nice and relaxing, our server was very nice, and the food was decent, but I expected food to be a little more flavorful, I had the chicken and fig stuffing and it was a little bland for my taste. We also had the pate appetizer, and the bread served with it had way too much honey drenched on it- it was too sweet and took away from tasting the pate.

The service also took longer than we expected, there were only a couple tables with customers in the restaurant but our dinner took at least 30-35 min after we ordered to be brought out, not a terrible wait but we were about to ask the server how much longer it would be when she finally brought the food to us."

"As always, The Fig Tree was a pleasurable dining experience. They always go out of their ways to do so.
The owner practice the lost art of stopping by each table to speak with the diners and to ensure that they have all they need. Although we have never had an unpleasant dining experience, I am certain she would act on any suggestions."

"Much like the old Nibblers with a modified menu and upgraded decor. Flash fried spinach is always good. Still, the service wasn't great. We were starved and wanted something fast. The spinach was recommended, but took forever to arrive. I asked about it and the server said that there were a lot of 'tickets' ahead of us. It also took a long time to get a glass of wine. She told us that Daniel (owner) spends all his time at the Berkeley location now, and it shows."
