Found this restaurant online while vacationing in Kauai. We wanted to eat a nice meal out before catching a plane back home. Very disappointed in our food. My husband and I ordered the Jerk Chicken and it was to say the least terrible. We ate off of others' mediocre plates instead. The pork tacos were good however.

We have eaten at The Feral Pig several times for lunch and/or happy hour. Each of the past visits we had excellent service and food. However, on this occasion we had reservations and we waited almost 20 minutes with no one acknowledging we were ever there and that was after I asked if we could get menus. The food was not nearly as good as on previous visits. I order the Fish & Chips and the French Fries were almost crumbs. At least 90% of them were 1/4" or 1/2" long only. The soup was barely warm. We had to take our money to the register when it was time to pay our bill since no one brought our check. I hope this was a fluke experience.

Cool, family run, casual pub in a small shopping center. Went there around brunch time. Had what I'd call the specialty of the house, Feral Moco. Delicious pig patty on top of pork belly on top of rice covered w/brown gravy. 2 perfect over easy eggs on top. Maybe the most unique breakfast I've had. Excellent variation on bacon & eggs. My wife got the 2 egg breakfast w/mahi mahi as the meat and "country potatoes." Again, perfect eggs. The fish was a little over cooked and bland and served on top of raw, plain cabbage, but the sauce served with it was good. Potatoes were sitting in a puddle of grease and not crisp. They were also irregularly cut, some large chunks, some quite small. When "pig" is in the name, take the hint & enjoy the pork!

Excellent authentic mai tai, very friendly server, food was tasty but nothing to write home about. The sauce on the Guinness marinated wings was almost like a brown gravy, not to our taste and we instantly regretted not going with the Jamaican jerk after the first bite

It's a great place to stop off and grab an informal meal. We used OpenTable for reservations on a Friday at 6:30pm. We didn't need them, as there were a number of open tables. The bar offered a great selection of beers, many of them local. I had the pork loin with blue cheese mashed potatoes. Yummy! And the others also enjoyed their meals. Being in Kauai, it is very laid back and less formal that expected. However the food was very good and reasonably priced. We will definitely go again when back in Kauai!

If you find yourself in Kauai, you've spent enough money getting there. Don't spend any more on food here. It's a pub with food so salty it's not edible. I made the mistake of assuming that because it was on Open Table that it was more of a gastro-pub, unfortunately that caused my last meal in Kauai to be the worst of my trip.

As you enter the Feral Pig, the understated environment could be an immediate concern, but don't let it be. It's casual, yes, but the food is excellent and the service attentive and unpretentious. My wife and I shared several tapas dishes, followed by a Feral Burger, which is not on the menu. My Manhattan was particularly good. This is a great spot for a casual dinner with friends and family where good food is required but fun is the focus.

Staying at nearby resort, had the Feral Pig recommended, called and made reservations for 5:30 PM Friday afternoon for a party of four. Arrived ahead of time, to find premises overrun with students, no host in sight or available for 15 minutes, and then told by host that there were at least three parties ahead of me, and while being told he didn't have our party listed, one of his servers said he had fielded my call, but had forgotten to write it down. Host said it would be more than an hour, if at all. We took our business elsewhere.

From the Midwest I should have known not to order biscuits and sausage gravy in Hawaii. Some of the worst I've ever had. Biscuits were tough and gravy was runny. Ordered a side of Portugese sausage and got 3 pieces about the size of quarters for $3.50. The breakfast burrito was generous and tasty.

I asked for a real Rye and Ginger and it was made with real ginger. Best one I have had in years. Most bartenders use ginger ale that comes in a bottle. This was truly homemade and quite delicious. The food was great also. The Pork tenderloin was so big I could only eat half.

We were looking for a casual, light dinner and decided to try something new on Kauai. We read the reviews on Open Table and selected the Feral Pig. We had early reservations (6:00) which were not needed. The place was nearly empty at that time. We were greeted after a short wait. This has the feel of a neighborhood bar. The menu was limited. We ordered the fish tacos and the fish and chips. Both were OK.

While the burger and salad went over well, the kaluha pork was a disappointment. It tasted nothing like the kaluha pig I've enjoyed elsewhere in Kauai and dare to say that if a novice ordered the kaluha pork they would walk away with a poor impression of such a signature island dish.

This was an awesome experience for a spot that isn't particularly spectacular itselt, but the staff is nice, the food was good, beer was good, even sat outside at night when there were bugs and it didn't bother us. We really enjoyed this spot. Very casual spot, but you could go and have a date night, or have an excellent meal for a reasonable price in Kauai on vacation like we did. We spent less than $50 for two people with drinks (2 each I think). Thought it was super affordable and didn't lack in quality. Good time.

Casual bar/restaurant in strip mall. If you are looking for a place to throw back a few beers and chat with your friends, this might be the place. Here on an evening that a local band was playing, music was nice but too loud for such a small establishment, difficult to talk to your tablemates. Menu for the most part lunch type items with a few main dish entrees also included. Food was good, nice portion sizes. Service was very good. Not my kind of establishment, will not be returning.

This was a last minute choice for us, as we had just spent our day touring Kauai and were getting hungry. In my experience, any restaurant with Pig in its name holds promise. Unfortunately, this food was about as bland as it gets, including the pig. I had the pork chop, and the servings were quite generous, but lacked in any flavor. This seems to be a common theme in Kauai restaurants in the low-to-mid range that we tried.

It's not on the menu, and it is specifically what I came for. You have to ask for it. It's 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground kalua pork, topped with a spicy mayo, carmelized onions and bacon. It's served with crispy fries, and is only $12. It's a very good burger. They also have a slider version for smaller appetites. They have a nice beer selection, as well. Inside, well, it's a pub. A few TVs. Not a bad place to have a decent meal, and to maybe shave a few bucks off your dining budget on the Garden Isle, as well.
