The FarmhouseHappy MomBoth my Mother and God Mother enjoyed the Farmhouse for Mother's Day. The ambiance and view were breath taking. The food was mediocre, however the service made up for the lack of food quality. After dinner we drove around the property and my mother fell in love. They both can't wait to return. The Farmhouse was a true treat!!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Farm to Table experienceWe took our family to Farmhouse for Mother's Day dinner and had a fantastic experience. Everything was done very well and the food was exceptional. Our server was very personable and made us feel right at home. The proprietor visited the table to check on our food, which was a nice touch. Will definitely go back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBring 2 walletsI enjoy the setting and food at the Farmhouse but it is quit pricey for my liking. $128 for 3 people to eat lunch and have 1 drink seems a bit much for me. I can't complain about the service but there wasn't anything memorable about the meal to me. 3 small pieces of trout with green beans, black eyed pea salad and cheese grits caserole. Probably won't do it again unless I have money to blow.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery pleasant and welcoming.Very pleasant and welcoming. Loved as you pull up, all the greenery that surronds the nesteled house. With the farm to table menu, I would reccomend he Farmhouse to anyone.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the FarmhouseI've spent the past four Easters at the Farmhouse and I've twice brought big family groups for meals. The Farmhouse makes a special occasion something wonderful. Thank you for the consistently good food and the lovely service.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMa delightful birthday celebrationThe service staff was just exemplary. Our server provided without asking and was very unobtrusive.
We had a wonderful lunch - just the start of a beautiful day of food, friends and crafts.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeWe love the Farmhouse at Serenbe!! We prefer coming to Serenbe over any other restaurant in atlanta. food is awesome, service is awesome, atmosphere is awesome. It will also be YOUR favorite if you try it. guaranteed.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh marks in all categories; a gemGreat food, splendid decor and beautiful pastoral setting. An elegant, and relaxing, dining experience.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great, as always.Food was great, as always. Service was good. Not a great description of the daily options. "Pork chops are pork chops, fried chicken is fried chicken". Overall nice experience, as usual.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMExquisite surroundings and food! The setting is exquisite. The surrounding grounds include sweeping green lawns, lush heirloom trees and flowering vines and shrubs, lovely kitchen and herb gardens, and frolicking baby lambs and goats all in a bucolic, peaceful country setting. We watched a wren feeding her babies in a nest directly outside the window from our table on the beautiful all-season porch! You can feel your blood pressure dropping as you drive into the property! The food is equal to the extraordinary surroundings. This is a mostly farm-to-table restaurant using fresh locally sourced ingredients including organic fruits and veggies grown right on the property at Serenbe's own organic farm. Every meal has one or more 'Wow!' moments. The food is fabulous!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMsuch an elegant and well preparedsuch an elegant and well prepared meal---and god knows I never thought I would say that about fried chicken!!! not a ton of choices which is just fine. sorry I missed sitting in their bar for happy hour---it looked so cozy and intimate there---and really sorry I didn't try to book a room---staying at the inn here I feel would have likely been as special as the meal. As good as the food was the highlight was definitely getting to watch the little lamb frolick right outside the restaurant--glad he wasn't on the menu!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of my favorite places to dine!Love love love this place. Food=Awesome Service=Awesome Ambiance=Awesome Need I say more?4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA Chattahoochee Hills GemDining at The Farmhouse was absolutely delightful. We had a 6 PM reservation and we were seated at 6 PM. The service was excellent. The three of us had a salad with fried green tomatoes which was excellent. The shrimp and grits was the best we have ever tasted. The biscuits were incredible. Our guest had the meatloaf dish which he praised. The chocolate pecan pie with ice cream was "to die for". We can't wait to eat at The Farmhouse again.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperlativesThe most delightful dining experience in years! Food, service, ambience was superb and the noise level was such that conversation could be easily heard across the table. Other establishments, take note: it can be done. Delicious and well worth the drive from Atlanta.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been to Serenbe veryI have been to Serenbe very often over the past few years and I have never been disappointed. It's almost a habit now that whenever I have out of town guests we go to The Farmhouse for a lovely southern lunch. The fried chicken is certainly the very best that I have ever had.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the Farmhouse!Loved dinner at the Farmhouse. Great food (limited menu) and the service was fantastic. I want to move here!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe'll be backIt is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The food was great, we both ordered the fried chicken dinner. The sides that came with it were cole slaw, leek bread pudding and black eyed peas. The cole slaw was amazing as well as the leek bread pudding. The peas where a little bland but not enough to dissapoint. The weird thing was that out of our two dinners, my girlfriends chicken was tough and didn't compare to the taste of mine. I thought the chicken was excellent and she thought it was nothing special, I couldn't understand why until I tasted hers. It was like night and day.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall the experience, especiallyOverall the experience, especially the friendly and prompt service was very good. WIthin my group several comments were made in the preparation of the country fried steak. It was tough. In addition, the black eyed peas were undercooked and the portion size for the side dishes was unacceptable for the price paid in my opinion.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat location and excellentGreat location and excellent food! We were delighted to find this "gem" only 30min from C'Town.
The limited menu creates a great oppurtunity to taste everything and enjoy the perfect wine pairings. the staff was friendly, helpful, and added to the classy country theme I expect this will become the next "place to go" for Atlantans.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster lunch at The FarmhouseEaster lunch at The Farmhouse is absolutely awesome! This was our second time celebrating Easter this way and it is wonderful. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The owner made a point of circulating throughout the dining rooms to say hello and chat at each table. After lunch, the children enjoyed a few hours playing at the farm - running through the meadows and woods, saying hi to the sheep, goats and cows and jumping on the in-ground trampoline. It was a perfect Easter!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere, Food, and StaffThe Easter Brunch was our first time visiting the restaurant and it was really good. We have 3 small children and the staff was very attentive to their needs. The menu is fairly limited, but the selections were really good. The manager even made a point to apologize for our table being a little cramped by offering complimentary drinks. It was an extremely nice gesture and not expected by us. The atmosphere was peaceful and our meal was great. We will be visiting again3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food and Great Service! An amazing farm to table brunch with fantastic service! The fried chicken was moist and crispy with just the right amount of seasonings, THE BEST EVER!! And the peach sangria was incredible. We've already made our reservations for Mother's Day and look forward to another delicious meal!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Serenbe. We have beenWe love Serenbe. We have been there numerous times(6-8 times)and really enjoy the relaxing "feel" to the entire place. My 14 year old daughter - who is a little high strung loves this place and really seems to relax when she's there. The Farmhouse food is very good and the fried chicken cannot be beat! We ate there Easter Sunday afternoon and sat at a table on the front porch of the main house. The service - as usual - was very good and Marie stopped by for a quick chat to make sure all was well. Fortunately the weather was good making for a very enjoyable afternoon meal with the whole family. Serebe is a "gem" of a place - and takes the "hustle and bustle" out of fine dining. If you have not visited Serenbe I highly recommend it.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful lunch forWe had a wonderful lunch for Easter at the Farmhouse. The food and ambience were perfect, along with the staff. Could not have spent Easter anywhere else. Will return often. Loved it...3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent! StaffFood was excellent! Staff was kind and welcoming! Will definitely return!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ate lunch at The FarmhouseWe ate lunch at The Farmhouse after church on Easter. We had our parents in town and wanted to try a "special" place for lunch. We were seated outside promptly and the food was a course meal so there was no time spent waiting for food. The food was very good, but it was a course meal which could be difficult for picky eaters; however the menu is posted online. Children do not have their own menu and therefore pay the same as adults. I can think of no real complaints. Next time I will probably sit a little further away from the outdoor heaters they have...I was a little too close to one of them for may taste, but I am certain they would have turned the heat down upon request. We will certainly dine again at The Farmhouse.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMSmall menu, but great foodThe menu is very small, but that allows them to perfect each dish. Make sure you check their menu online before going, since it changes constantly.
Every food item we tried was excellent. Appetizers, salad, soup, and entree. We didn't order dessert, although I'm sure it would have been great.
Portions are on the small side, especially the appetizers. They were not a good value, and we won't order them again. But the starters and entrees were excellent.
The location is quiet and peaceful with great charm.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMReady To Go BackReally felt at home at The Farmhouse. Blending exquisitely prepared food and impeccable service in a comfortable, natural setting truly creates a recipe for a memorable dining experience. This was an 80th birthday celebration which did not disappoint the birthday boy nor the rest of us. Ready to go back.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAt last, dinner in peace! The Farmhouse provides a refreshing retreat from the hustle and bustle of most metro Atlanta locations. With rustic charm in a natural rural setting, the Farmhouse offers simplicity, serenity and delicious food served with a smile. The munu is very simple and southern which wonderfully compliments the overall experience.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Farmhouse experience isThe Farmhouse experience is a gift for anyone who's tired of over-processed restaurant food, places with terrible ambience or waitstaff who seem eager to end their shift. From the crisp table linens to the delicately shaved parsnips in the fresh dinner salad, this place is a sensory delight and a visual, as well as tactical, treat. You know they're doing so much right when the mere fragrance of cinnamon on their delicate French toast sends you swooning! Maybe it's the location; acres of countryside with well-cared for animals nearby does make for the perfect contrast to a cozy meal. Bring your well-behaved children and they'll find it hospitable and friendly, too. My husband and I enjoyed the decor and seeing the cooks up-close at work.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experience. TheWonderful experience. The menu is limited as it changes regularly, but everything was wonderful.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMYou Must Visit!!Our Farmhouse experience was just awesome!!! It made us feel good about the farm to table concept. The food was cooked just right...veggies retaining all nutrients. It was seasoned well and even though there wasn't a lot to choose from there was a nice variety to satisfy the palette. Overall, it was a great experience and worth the drive!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
