  • "Beautiful, rustic farmhouse setting at Serenbe. Have been many times but this time the service was great but the food was mediocre. Country fried steak, one of the only two entree's on the menu, was overdone and tough. I was on the edge of sending it back but 'toughed it out' and did not. This has not been the case on previous visits. Veggies were excellent."

  • "We visited the Farmhouse for Father's Day. We choose it because they were known for their friend chicken. Choices were very limited. One choice only for salad-$5.00, not worth it. Entree choices were fried chicken or fried fish-nothing grilled. No choices for sides at all. Food was good but very displeased with amount for price. $15.00 meal + salad and drinks and we left hungry. $90.00 plus tip for family of four, discouraging. A/C was not working and they sat us on a hot porch. We asked to be moved Nice restaurant and great atmosphere but would not go back for price vs. serving size."

  • "I read that The Farmhouse is rated in the top 50 Atlanta area eateries. The location and facility itself is wonderful, and the service was excellent, however, I was very dissappointed with the food. The main couse came out cold (my plate and both my friend's plates as well). My fried chicken was not even luke warm. So we sent them back and were given new plates that were warmer, but still below what I consider to be hot food. My fried chicken was very tasty, but the sides were not noteworthy."

  • "I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. It was a but pricey but we walked around the farm after dinner and had a wonderful time which made it well worth the money. Definitely worth checking out."

  • "We went to The Farmhouse at Serenbe for Father's Day. We (party of 5) arrived on time, and our service started well. Orders were promptly taken (unfortunately, out of fried green tomatoes), but after this course the service fell apart. It was at least 30 mins. until another server checked on us. A party of 4 seated after us ate their main course, had their table cleared, and were receiving their dessert before our main course arrived. My daughter-in-law's chicken wasn't fully cooked, even after all this time. Once served, it was another 45 mins. before we had to go looking for a manager. No one checked on us this whole time (though servers were setting-up tables). Dirty plates sat on our table for > 30 minutes. Poor service and experience."

  • "We stayed at the Serenbe Inn for two nights, having dinner at the Farmhouse the first night and The Hil on the second. The food at The Farmhouse was good. I wish my main course had been hotter than room temperature, though it was tasty. It would have tasted better if the glass of wine I had ordered had actually come out before I was finished with my dinner, but this was not to be. We have discovered that this is typical at this restaurant (try getting a second cup of coffee at morning breakfast - we actually had to get up and ask someone after being ignored twice by the server). Service is amateur - especially for a $100 dinner for two."

  • "Food was delicious - not much selection though - only 2. We did feel that the portions were quite small - particularly the mashed potatoes. We didn't love the kale, but the chicken was delicious. The brownie and peach cobbler were delicious, but would have been even more delicious with a small serving of whipped cream or ice cream with the cobbler. Most notably, we wondered if the air conditioning was broken. Nobody apologized for the room temperature, but it was very warm in the restaurant. I heard several guests mention it at their tables, but the servers never said anything."

  • "My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary at Serenbe. We dined at The Farmhouse for dinner and breakfast. Everything about our experience was phenomenal. The food was delicious, service was great, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. We look forward to our next trip!"

  • "We have visited The Farmhouse several times and have always had great service and amazing food! However, on this visit we waited for over an hour for on entree. We also didnt see our server for awhile and asked someone else about our meal. They checked and sent our server back to us who said she had asked about our entree so many times that they told her not to ask again. Since she never came to us to let us know there was a delay I suspect this may not have been completely true. We watched others who came in after us order, receive their meals and leave before we ever received our entree. The server offered us a free dessert (there were 4 in our party). We asked to speak to the manager who promptly comped our entire meal. Nice recovery!"

  • "Four friends had lunch at The Farmhouse at Serenbee. We all ordered the fried chicken. It was very good along with the side orders. For dessert we had the apple crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch on the glassed in porch. Would definitely go again."

  • "While I love the concept of farm to table dining, the wait was tremendously long for two grilled cheese and a soup order (45+minutes) AND the cheese wasnt melted! The staff were apologetic yet blamed it on the "crowd" yet the capacity was at 20% max. Which reminds me that we came in for our 7:30 reservation at 7:20 were never greeted, there is no distinct or clear hostess stand so we found someone and checked in to be left alone, determine our own waiting area and be left there until we inquired after still waiting at 7:40. The food was fresh and delicious however there are no other child/choosy eater friendly options other than grilled cheese. All in all it was just an uncomfortable, odd experience"

  • "While the atmosphere is beautiful, the meal did not meet our expectations. It started with biscuits that were undercooked and then when they delivered the Fried Green Tomatoes--the breading was so thick, the tomato had no taste! I told our waitress how surprised I was and did not care for them--she seemed to dismiss it quickly. We paid a "split fee" to share the entre and unlike other restaurants that may give you a little more vegies in a split, they did not. Our dessert of mud pie was not mud pie but a brownie with a topping of marshmallow and chocolate--not good! Needless to say, we drove a long distance to get there and paid a high price only to be disappointed. I would not go back nor recommend this restaurant!"

  • "In a beautiful setting, this old farmhouse has every room converted into small dining rooms, each with their own unique/antique/artistic decor. All food is fresh and most grown right on property or from near by farms. We went for a Sunday brunch and really enjoyed the food and service. Prices were a little high, but worth the value considering the excellent food and beautiful setting. We were not rushed. Also, enjoyed some of the "specialty" drinks, before our meal. They have an extensive wine list,too. "

  • "Invited friends, who live in the area yet never visited The Farmhouse. It was a beautiful day, not too hot as we enjoyed our lunch in the sun room. As usual, the food was stupendous and served with grace and poise. We were able to enjoy our time with minimal interruptions. Staff were excellent. Highly recommended for your special occasion or casual day in the country. Reservations recommended."

  • "Our overall experience was good. We took my mother-in-law for lunch on Mother's Day. The dining experience was good and the seating we had overlooking the garden and pool was perfect. We were a little disappointed with the meal. The choices were salmon or fried chicken and when we got there for our reservation, there was no salmon which disappointed my husband. The salad had been mass produced ahead of time and was terrible. The fried chicken was good and the biscuits were wonderful! The desert was a strawberry shortcake which I really liked. Since reservations were required, they should have been more prepared and not run out of one of the main entree choices. The service was good. "

  • "Serenbe and the community of Serenbe are fun to visit and wonder around. See the sheep, cows, pigs, horses and chickens. Visit the Farmer's Market or Blue Eyed Daisy in town. Call ahead to see if the Fried Chicken is on the menu because it is mouth watering good. We had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch. Staying at Serenbe, either on property or in town is a neat get-away for any weekend."

  • "I liked the Farmhouse overall. The food was tasty, the ambience is charming, and everyone is very friendly. However, I will probably not go back on a special day like Mothers Day. Despite having a reservation the wait was almost 30 min. for us. The restaurant atmosphere and not laid back as I had hoped. It does seem to be a charming place to have a nice lunch on another afternoon. The servers, bartender, and hostesses were very polite and friendly. "

  • "My sisters and I took our mother here for Mother's Day. We're pretty familiar with Serenbe and have been to the Farmhouse before. We had a reservation for 1:30, and didn't get seated until about 2, which wasn't pleasant since we were so ready to eat, but expected on such a busy day. Mom, younger sister, and I got the salmon, and older sister got the fried chicken. We were all very happy with the meal! We didn't try any special drinks, but they all looked great! The only negative aspect was we were seated right next to the drink/silverware station for the waiters outside, so people were constantly walking around our table. Mom had a great time!"

  • "This charming restaurant is set amidst the peaceful property of Serenbe, with its rolling hills and meadows. The Farmhouse itself feels like exactly that, with wide porches and a screened front door. You step in and feel like stepping backwards in time, where the hardwoods of the well-loved floors creak and you might expect a pie to be cooling on the window ledge. The library invites you to stay awhile, but the food coming out of the kitchen will keep you coming back. The fried chicken with seasonal sides - a winner by all accounts. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and moist. For our sides, we had a vidalia onion risotto-type dish, bright and lemony garlic collards, and squash cakes. The South, captured beautifully on a plate. "

  • "We went for Easter. The menu was fixed. Basic, boring salads unevenly dressed. While I had cheese and nuts on mine, the other two with me didn't have much cheese and no nuts. Then, your choice of ham or fried chicken with cole slaw and potatoes I think. I think it was potatoes but whatever it was, it was the same color as the watery, flavorless cole slaw. The chicken had been sitting and the skin was moist and not at all crunchy. The carrot cake for dessert was very sweet but still very good. The only highlight. Overall, the food was .. edible. Not worth the $125 price tag for a lunch for three and a bottle of wine. The service was good, not intrusive. The décor was great. Quaint. Charming. I'll go back to Serenbe but not to The Farmhouse. "

  • "it was relaxed a great place to relax very secenic the menu for the night was not deseriable the choices were not what you thought they were when you read the menu, for instance you read sweet potato and it came out smeared on a wood chopping block great imagianation just dont call it an entre,i would say snack board.iorderd peas and beans no imigation it came in a bowl with cold beans and snap peas. o to creative you could go ther on a diet and never eat your calories.then my date ordered shank steak it came out on spinich cut in litle pieces.they could have just chewed it up for you and put it on the plate same thing three entres on menue and the sowardfish had ran out.and 78 bucks pius tip.not many choices great anticapation a farmhouse."
