Diner Reviews
  • "The restaurant is beautiful, the waitresses were great, but the food was not good at all. Food was bland and over priced. We don't mind paying the price when the food is good. The breakfast was better then dinner but still nothing to brag about."

  • "Went after seeing recommendation in Atlanta Magazine as one of the best places for cried chicken. It an adventure to get to but worth the trip. The chicken was devine. The service impeccable."

  • "Loved the atmosphere, food, and service. Such a nice getaway from Atlanta and so easy to get there! The food was delicious, well priced, and service was excellent. And the setting was so pastoral. A great find!"

  • "Wonderful dining experience. Food presentation was good and the flavors were wonderful. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a nice dinner for two or even for a family dinner. If dining for two ask to be seated on the porch."

  • "As to be expected the Sunday Brunch was excellent. Food and Service were terrific and we were able to introduce another couple to the charms of The Farmhouse."

  • "The Farmhouse staff offered and served an excellent five course dinner that was truly savory, satisfying, and served with style and grace. Each course was paired with an exceptional wine offering that truly complemented the meal. The chef's choices of the entrée were fitting with the enclosed porch style four-top table complete with white table cloth and napkins. Excellent service and a gracious hostess were highlights of the evening. Bravo Serenbe ... we will be back!"

  • "I've been twice to this idyllic southern farm. The minute I walked in, I felt l was in my great grandmother's house. The food is a delicious modern spin on southern cuisine, but enough tradition is in the recipes for you to know that it is authentic."

  • "This was our second visit and we brought another couple. Everything was spot on, I had the trout and Kelly had the meatloaf. MIT was the best beet salad I have ever had. We took a risk on the bottomless wine and were very pleasantly surprised how good it was. Our host was Danielle and she was perfect, anticipating our needs, making recommendations and overall outstanding. Definitely one for a romantic dinner."

  • "The Farmhouse is a cozy little restaurant at the Inn at Serenby. All the food is grown right there on the farm so it is extra fresh and delicious! They have a great wine selection with a bottomless wine option you can't turn down. While dining you have a great view of the farm and inn grounds. They just had several baby goats, sheep, and donkeys so hurry down and see for yourself!"

  • "We really enjoy frequently dining at the Farmhouse. It is very European Country in its setting and dining style/portions. Love the farm to table menu, and the Bourbon Pecan Pie and fried chicken (lunch) are musts. Such an easy, welcoming, and casually sophisticated experience. Why not 5 stars? Since we go frequently, the menu is small, but doesn't change very much, so it's becoming predictable. Also, even though portions are respectable for presentation/nutrition/value, they could be about 20% larger for my hungrier husband. But, he doesn't complain, and we will return."

  • "My husband and I planned a date to Serenbe. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table for two. The problem with the table is that was located right next to another table. So close the waitress leaned in to refill drinks because she could not stand in between our table and the table of four next to us. Because of the cramped space, it was not romantic in the least bit. The food was tasty but the portions are very small. One visit was enough for us."

  • "we went here for lunch on a Saturday using scout mob. It was a good deal with unlimited wine, only drawback was that you could only choose from 2 wines (merlot and chardonnay). other than that the fried chicken was well seasoned and tasty, as well as the sides. it was a very cute and well decorated restaurant. small and quaint, wooden floors, nice view of the scenery outside. after lunch we took a walk outside the place (it's like a little community with houses and stores), not only did you see these scenic views you could also see and pet all sorts of animals as you walked around the community. perfect for a nice lunch date on a beautiful day out."

  • "The Farmhouse is set in a very scenic location off the beaten path and is a great spot for a date night. The service was good and the food was excellent. The beer list is pretty good for a restaurant with several craft offerings. My only complaint is the small portion sizes for the price. I ordered a hanger steak and I was served a 4-5 oz portion with a very small serving of potatoes. The amount of food was perfect for my wife, but I left a bit hungry. Overall, a great spot though!"

  • "Everything about this place is special! The location, the atmosphere, the "bar" area, the food, the wine, the scenery...loved it all. Definitely some place to go that is different and fun. Great for special occasions, special friends, or just an evening out."

  • "A great restaurant for a special occasion with that special person. The food is very good and the ambiance is warm and inviting. That’s what is so neat about the place."

  • "We had a wonderful brunch at The Farmhouse. My husband and I have been three three times but first for my our family who joined us. Everyone LOVED their meals, the service is the best and the Farmhouse is lovely. The treat is also spending time in the community of Serenbe after brunch. This is a must do!"

  • "Food and service excellent. Few tables where we were seated seemed too close so we were hearing their very noisy conversation over our own. And the room was cold. So maybe a few improvements there are possible? Will definitly be returning and recommending to friends."

  • "We went for a birthday brunch on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. and could have been more pleased. We were using a Scoutmob coupon but honestly it was so good we would have paid full price. The table next to us suggested the Fried Chicken instead of the Country Fried Steak. We went for the chicken which was served with honey glazed carrots, mashed potatoes, and the most delicious kale I have ever tasted. Wonderful wine list but we were limited with our coupon as to what we could select so we will be back to try some of the other varieties. If you make a reservation and want a pretty view ask to sit in the sun room area!! We were unable to do so on this trip but will be sure to on our next visit. Great service and great meal!!"

  • "This place is wonderful. The staff is professional yet very warm and inviting. Whatever you do don't be fooled by the name, "Farmhouse" because the food is truly upscale southern and the atmosphere/decor is country chic! It’s a great place for a couple, group of friends or family (provided your children are well behaved)."

  • "The Farmhouse at Serenbe has great fried chicken and fresh vegetables for lunch. The fried chicken was perfectly breaded not overly breaded and moist. The view overlooking the farm is hard to beat in metro Atlanta. You feel as though you have gone far away from the city despite still being in Fulton County. Definitely a great place to spend a Saturday for lunch."

  • "I had heard about this place for awhile but had not made the plans to make it out there from Atlanta. This is a great place to escape from the city and get and well balanced meal for a very reasonable price. Everything was cooked to perfection and is served up in a very simplistic manner. If you are in to over the top restaurants that are focused on creating crazy concoctions, then this is going to be a little different. Simple yet fine dining. I would recommend this to anyone who is passing by via I-85 or who might just need to get out of Atlanta. I will definitely be making the trip out there again, possibly grabbing a hotel room at The Inn as well."

  • "Ah Serenbe. The Farmhouse is the third restaurant we have tried out there and evidently, there is no such thing as bad wait staff, bad food, or bad atmosphere at Serenbe. The Farmhouse is a totally charming little place, filled with sunlight and and a staff that I think was time-warped in from 1958. I'm telling you, these folks are as sweet and welcoming as one could ever hope to find. I hesitate to say the menu is limited because that has a mild negative connotation, so I shall say that it is non-intimidating and it's almost perfect. That whole friend chicken thing that this place is known for? All it's cracked up to be, not kidding. A most satisfactory wine list and the service is not too rushed and not too slow."

  • "We had a great time at the farmhouse, it was a really cool spot. Like i said the customer service was fantastic they went above and beyond. Very polite, very helpful, the food was good but I'm kinda of a good ol boy so it was a little out of my box but it still was good"

  • "The salad was tasty and the bread was good, but the pork tenderloin wasn't tender and required a lot of chewing. The roasted sweet potatoes were excellent."

  • "Located in the Serenbe Inn, this little gem is true farm-to-table dining. While that limits the menu to 2 appetizers, 3 entrees & 2 desserts per evening, every item on the menu was prepared to perfection. Cost of dinner was exceedingly reasonable. Same meal in ATL would have been almost twice the price."
