"everything outstanding; food exceptional; love the owner/chef who came out to greet us. Only slight complaint is that the service tempo felt a bit rushed. But really loved it - we've been several times and hope to go back often."

"I'm not one to write reviews unless I had an exceptional experience or a terrible one. In this case, I was highly disappointed. Our reservation was for 8pm and although we were seated promptly, we were completely ignored for 25 minutes! No hello, no bread, no nothing. It was so disheartening that I was tempted to get up and leave. Our waiter seemed to sense our dissatisfaction when he finally approached the table, and did make up for it during the rest of our meal. The food was just mediocre. We did enjoy our appetizers; the leek soup and the beet steak which was delicious, but our entrees left much to be desired. The time between appetizer and main course was also painfully long. I definitely will not be returning here."

"We had an early reservation- 5:30 on a Friday night. Service was top notch - great menu advice from the waiter and his suggestions didn't disappoint. Laid back atmosphere, but still keen attention to detail. We never felt rushed, and had a nice, relaxing and delicious dinner. I love that the food is really fresh and local (since the menu changes almost daily, it's for real...not just taking advantage of the new buzz words "farm fresh and locally sourced"). The staff explained what was coming into season as well as what was going out of season. All around a great dining experience and I would definitely go back!"

"This is a real gem of a restaurant in a quiet, very pretty part of Philadelphia. We were able to drop off our wine and have a walk about town before our reservation. When we arrived, our table was ready and staff had opened our red wine approximately a half hour before. This is an attention to detail we had not expected and were pleasantly surprised. The menu is creative - with locally foraged greens, local veggies, meat, etc. Every dish is an adventure into what is a very old, even ancient, use of earth's bounty and new in the way it is combined and presented. The staff could not have been more professional, knowledgeable, yet warm and friendly. We will definitely visit again to experience each season's creation at the very least!"

"Wonderful dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. They had so many good starter dishes that we couldn't decide. Ended up getting four smaller plates and one entree--more than enough. Service was great, everything tasted lovely. Will book again."

"Great dining experience. People watching on Pine on a beautiful spring evening a bonus. Wahoo was very interesting seared lightly and served with a hint of grapefruit citrus. Lamb was perfect and the early soft shell crab course was exceptional. Tempura batter fried beautifully. Absolutely not a hint of oil. The use of ramps in several courses just smacked of spring. The sou chef must work overtime considering the attention to knife skills."
