  • Parking Details: We do not have customer parking. On-street parking is recommended, rates are about $3 per hour, less on Saturdays. Payment is not required after 6pm or on Sundays/holidays. All-day and event parking is available at numerous parking lots within one block. Please refer to parking information on our website for further details.
A word from The Embarcadero Wine and Oyster Bar
Named after the Waterfront district in San Francisco, Embarcadero means "wharf" or "landing place" in Spanish. We feature at least six varieties of northern Atlantic and Pacific fresh oysters on the half shell. We offer a large selection of casual small plates, pastas, beef and lamb to complement the fresh seafood specialty and imaginative gourmet daily features. For the wine lover, an extensive wine list and a continually changing selection of wines by the glass and taste are available, preserved with an argon system for just-opened freshness.

The historic red brick house features a main floor European style wine bar and second floor Gallery dining room with original Asian art. The south-facing brick-paved patio is an ideal summertime retreat.

  • "The oyster and wine selection were great, but my companion and I both had the evening special. The Ahi tuna itself was delicious and cooked to rare perfection, but it was served with white rice, flavourless vegetables, and a sweet chili sauce that was probably out of a bottle from M&M. Would not go back for a meal, maybe just for the oysters and wine. The server was very friendly and attentive."

  • "Have to say I was surprised on how wonderful everything tasted. Surprised you ask...well it kinda looks like a neighborhood pub/bistro. Not really modern or shiny, just comfortable and laid back ( a bit dusty in some spots). The waiter was friendly knowledgable interested in taking a moment to listen to our questions and explain the menu. teh food was fresh tasty and the lobster cooked to perfection. Really a new find for us and one we will be returning to."

  • "Oysters were delicious. Seafood was delicious. Drinks tasty. Service pleasant but not professional (felt like pub waitress serving us fine food). Beef mediocre (grissly - 2 different cuts and all left unfinished due to the grissle). I do feel I received good value for the meal, however, would avoid the beef on my next meal there."
