Diner Reviews
  • "Always a delicious brunch with excellent service - thank you, Eclectic!"

  • "Knowing that they are serving a pre theatre crowd, there should be a greater attempt to accommodate that crowd...we waited 10 minutes just for water while we saw three manager types just standing by the host desk/bar...I never understand that...."

  • "I've been going to the Eclectic Restaurant for many years and one thing which never disappoints are the drinks. They have many varieties and they "hit the spot." The customer service is also great. However, the food tends to get more bland by the year. I wish they would add more flavor or seasoning to their food. Don't overdue it but makes the customer taste that "kick.""

  • "As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by a lovely hostess. Our waiter was very helpful and gave wonderful recommendations for cocktails. I had a refreshing signature drink called the crystal cosmopolitan. I'm a huge seafood fan, so I thought I'd try out the Fruits de la mer. Yummy dish, just a tad bit too spicy for me. I must have overlooked that part when reading the menu description. Overall, I loved my experience at The Eclectic. I am definitely coming back and recommending this spot to all my friends and family. I want to try everything on their menu."

  • "I've been going to eclectic for about 6 years, since being sold they've added a full bar and they make a decent Bloody Mary, but the menu shrunk considerably and I don't see the wine flights either. Still good brunch, nice servers."

  • "What a great place to take clients for lunch! The food was delicious and the service impeccible! I would highly recommend this great find!"
    Dined on 3/12/2014
  • "We had a table for 4, jsut before a play, and had a relaxed meal. The braised short ribs were delicious, and the polenta with that plate was excellent! Eat here. Our server was on the ball, and the appetizers came out at just the right time."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "The server was very pleasant and patient as we carried on our conversations while accasionally perusing the menu to decide what we would dring and eat! The cocktails were great, but might have been a bit on the over-priced side. The dinners we had were delivered to the table very quickly and were as good as promised."

  • "Good menu selection, great wine list. Tables were a bit too close together for comfort, but service was outstanding."

  • "Was worried that most restaurants would be closed by the time I landed in Burbank. Thanks for a wonderful late dinner. The bartender was very kind. I enjoyed our conversation."

  • "From the moment I entered the restaurant I was greeted by a very friendly hostess. From the non it was all uphill. The service was excellent, the food was great , & the ambiance was perfect."

  • "My fiance and I made reservations here for Valentine's day, and we had a great experience. Our server was fantastic, very attentive and had a great sense of humor. The food was really good - our favorite was the scallops. The crab artichoke dip was also very good."

  • "Went here many years ago and got lousy service. Never went back. Returned again as the restaurant was near a theater we were going to. Service still lousy (practically had to set a trap to catch our waitress!), food absolutely ordinary (bland at best). Noise level very high. Just not worth my time or money."

  • "Although there are lots of wonderful things on the menu other than salads I always get my attention drawn away to the lovely list of salads. The Ceasar with chicken is great but I have a fondness for the duck confit salad. The taste o the large pieces of duck are a wonderful contrast to the mixed field greens with which the duck is surrounded in the bowl. With the salad they serve addictive bread which if one is not careful can distract the stomach and the head from the duck. A wonderful business lunch on a beautiful San Fernando Valley day, North Hollywood, CA. This is a high end place with a less than high end cost. This restaurant makes living in the Valley a good thing."

  • "This restaurant was a hit for both of us: the service, the food and the physical place were just perfect. We especially loved the vegetables that came with our beautiful and delectable entrees."

  • "The type of music is too loud and not conducive to fine dining or hearing your dinner partner talk. Food was good, not excellent. Considering the prices, the quality of food ought to be much better. Service was very good. They were out of tiramisu by 8:30pm which was disappointing."

  • "Both the food and service were really good. We had beef stroganoff and braised short ribs - the meat was melt in your mouth tender. Fresh bread kept us busy before our appetizers came out - delish! Apple pie and brownie for dessert. We ate too much, but it was all so good we just couldn't stop. Will definitely return again. Sunday evenings are really quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for this time. There was also a lot of available street parking, in addition to the lot behind the restaurant."

  • "Even since the ownership change, Evlectic is still one of our favorite Sunday Brunch locations. Great food, the waitrons are terrific. We've been going for over 7 years."

  • "One of the best I've had in awhile. Special menu for New Years Eve - not too much to choose from but everything we ordered was good. Mushroom soup was yummy but cold."

  • "I absolutely loved the environment of this restaurant. It's a bit pricey but still the good is great."

  • "We arrived late after heavy traffic and had theater tickets in 45 minutes. They got us in and out with a good meal in time. We all want to go back to appreciate more of the great menu. We made our magic show thanks to their efforts! Good job!"

  • "I've never been to The Eclectic before but walk by it all the time. Per the suggestion of a friend on where to have my bday dinner, I booked a res here and am so happy that I did!! Our server was super nice and really attentive. She kept wishing me a happy birthday, and I am def one of those people that can't get enough of that. ^.~ She made it a perfect birthday dinner with the great service and friendly smile. In regards to their food, everything was delicious from the Tuna Tartare to the table bread to the Thai Penne with Scallops! My friends ordered pizza, chicken risotto, duck confit salad, chopped salad, and the brochette. Thumbs up from everyone! The Eclectic topped it off by bringing out a birthday treat with a candle! So sweet!!"

  • "We had such a great experience the first time that I decided to go back when we were in the area again. But it must've been an off night for the kitchen. Our potsticker appetizer came out ice cold. Then my daughter's food was completely wrong. They discounted our bill in the end. I'm not really quite sure how our 2 experiences could be so opposite. The food WAS good and I will probably give them another chance."

  • "Made a reservation for 6 for Sunday Brunch. Called at 10 AM Sunday morning to see if I could add two people; no problem. At Noon the hostess didn't have a reservation under my name - for any number. Oops, found it. Nothing ready for us. Waited 20 min; got seated on couches outside-little tables to hold food. Didn't prepare for us. Said a reservation of 18 came in with 40. They let that happen?? At the expense of our reservations. Then we waited. Hostess: "your drinks are coming"; Us: "we didn't order drinks yet". They sent someone - then another. We waited; the wait was 20 minutes for mimosas . One of our party had to cancel his food order at 1:15 PM. We had a reservation at Noon and were still waiting for food an hour and 15 minutes later"

  • "No Ho spot great for dinner or lunch-have been for both. Nice choices for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. We ate outside on the sidewalk on a warm night and it was delightful!"
