The Eclectic Restaurant-Bar-LoungeWarm steak salad...Mmmm....so good! Saw it on Yelp, and had to try it! This is a somewhat cozy gastropub/bar/restaurant... We walked over after seeing a movie. Service was great, food was fresh...and I'd be happy to go back if in the neighborhood again. My husband didn't get what he ordered, but he ate it anyhow, as he was hungry.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day BrunchThe Eclectic has always been one of our favorite restaurants for a variety of reasons, so we booked a family gathering for Mothers Day. They did not let us down. Food was great and our waitress was top notch. I found it curious that their Mothers Day Brunch did not include champagne like their normal brunches do, but the add was a fair one price-wise. I noticed it appears the restaurant is changing owners. I hope the new ones present the same level of good food and service. Expected restaurant to be crowded on a Sat evening, but it wasn't. Folks you are missing a great place for dinner! Lack of crowd allowed us to stay a little longer (much appreciated) & talk. Oysters were decilious + desert yummie. Our waiter was kind, polite and interested in answering all our questions. He took our orders and attended to us just as we would hope. The food was very good. Food was outstanding and so much to choose from it was very hard to decide. the soup of the day, a tomato basil was rich and creamy. Had the steak salad which was amazing. Shared the chocolate fondue which had the best melted chocolate either of us had ever tasted. This was a perfect place before theater in this North Hollywood area. They do have valet in the back which is very important because street parking is almost non existent. Highly recommend and we cannot wait to go back.
