Parents in townI recently had my parents visiting from Athens Greece,
They totally loved the place the food was excellent the the hostess more than professionally friendly. I have been there a couple times before with friends. I enjoy it every time more and more5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome !No comment, really nice !
Amazing food, amazing place, service is really good !
And thanks for my special request !5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMYou must try the oysters! The oysters are a definite must especially with a glass of Gruner Vetliner. I also greatly enjoyed the Korean Style Hanger Steak. The pie (another item the restaurant is know for) was good but nothing to write home about....I tried the shoefly pie. We took our moms there for Mother's Day and it was a great place for a Special Occasion.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSaturday BrunchSeated immediately at the time of reservation. Service was good and the food (I had the fried chicken) was great. Highly recommend both the food and the cocktails!
Staff were friendly and very helpful5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe BestJust one lunch, one dish, and I can't wait to go back. The best soft-shelled crab I've eaten anywhere. I don't usually like complicated preparations, but everything about this combination came together to compliment, not overwhelm, the principal ingredient, a perfectly tempura-ed crab.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMLove The DutchBeen a while since I've been back, but on this recent visit was really blown away by the food. Super excellent service. Perfect to go at the end of the day for an early bite, the windows open and the sun shining in.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFried ChickenMy server said the fried chicken was ridiculous so I had to try it. It really was fantastic!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it and would go back.-Oysters were very good and well presented w/fresh horseradish etc.
-Burger was good but not for the price. The special sauce was not our favorite - tasted a little cumin in it. So you might try it on the side.
-The Fried Chicken was TO DIE FOR. Nice spices and not greasy - great quality meat. Served with cold slaw which was really good - not creamy and had a few pickled carrots and jalapenos - yum. Two little bitty homemade biscuits brushed with honey butter on top.
-Great Bloody Mary - the pickle and olive needed to get a room though:).
-Presentation and serving dishes were nice.
**We will return to try some other items:)**5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMManhattan but manageableGreat restaurant in the Village. We're visitors and found the place worthy of its reputation yet completely accessible. Lovely spot, too. Nice menu with something for all. Leave room for dessert.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSun pouring in on a spring eveningWe enjoyed our early dinner at the Dutch--great bread to begin (especially the chewy sunflower), followed by Red Chicken and s delightful spice-coated salmon fillet atop a cabbage-bacon braise and a side of very crispy potatoes. Lovely service, too.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic dinner with greatFantastic dinner with great service. Don't miss it and my special thanks to the maitre de for his special service. As we were all women he sent over all the male waiters at least once to wait on us. It is a fun lively place but don't be fooled the food was great.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic! We are from Portland, OR. This is the 2nd time we have eaten here this year and it was fantastic!

Simple dishes that deliver intense depth of flavor. A "you HAVE to try a bite of this" king place.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMI expected a lot from thisI expected a lot from this restaurant and it delivered. The food was excellent. The dining area is larger than you think but it feels very warm and cozy. This could become a nice restaurant to become a regular patron at. You feel at home. Well, maybe the home of a doting aunt.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe visit The Dutch for brunchWe visit The Dutch for brunch every time we visit NYC and are never disappointed! A small menu with everything dish good to excellent .4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNice atmosphere, if only aNice atmosphere, if only a bit noisy for a business dinner. But we got a fairly secluded table by the window, which served its purpose. The menu is relatively short but interesting. I really liked my choices (stracciatella toast as appetizer, steamed dorade with miso eggplant as entree, apple pie as dessert). The wine selection is quite good by the bottle, more limited by the glass. Prices a bit high but I guess you also pay the location and the hype.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMPhenomenal....great servicePhenomenal....great service and great food! One of the best brunches I have had in NYC in a while. Food was great and the staff was very engaging, great service.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMProbably far less hectic atProbably far less hectic at an 11 am Sunday brunch than in the evenings. Extremely pleasant, food was great, but not terrific, imagine the noise level for dinner must be loud. Glad we went, to see what the all the hype was about, but not fabulous enough to go out of our way to go back.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I went for ourMy wife and I went for our anniversary.
