The Dunraven InnAnniversary dinnerThe food was good, but I have had better bread other places. Next will order something other than shrimp scampi...a little overcooked. My husband loved the scallops..seasonal salad yummy!!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Dunraven Inn providesThe Dunraven Inn provides outstanding service; Sarah was prompt, warm and pleasant while the bussers did an equally good job of clearing items no longer needed. Our entrees, mussels and scallops, were both perfectly prepared and delicious. The seasonal salad was fresh and tasty. The "bread" was a soft, oddly seasoned, stale tasting small breadstick. My polenta was nothing special so I ate very little of it and the rice side dish was so unappealing my daughter sent it back. The steamed broccoli and carrot replacement was a little better but could have been improved with salt and more inspired preparation. Despite the lackluster parts of the meal we decided to have the Panna Cotta for dessert. It was absolutely wonderful!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFun old school atmosphereThis place reminds me of a place out of my childhood. We had a great dinner - lasagna, filet, chicken parm all delicious!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique diningHave been to the Dunraven Inn many times. The food as always, a treat to the taste buds. The ambience is superb.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWE started with the musselWE started with the mussel appetizer and they were great, the homemade croutons on the Ceasar salad were the best I ever had, and the entrees were both superb. Our server was Olga and she was delightful, very courteous and always there at just the right time, she made our dining experience just that much better. We will always visit the Dunraven Inn whenever we are in Estes Park it was truly a wonderful anniversary dinner.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSara gave the greatest attentionSara gave the greatest attention to service. She is was a delight and the food was super. Awesome dining experience.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMBangs Island MusselsHmmmm ...... I just discovered we've eaten at The Dunraven a total of 74 times since my last review, which was in August of 2012. Clearly Andy et al are doing SOMETHING right. In fact that something that they do seems to get better and better. Tonight they introduced delicious Bangs Island (Maine) mussels to their menu. Mussels have always been one of my favorites at The Dunraven, but these were simply awsome. Plump and flavorful they were among the best I've tasted anywhere. I had the seasonal salad to begin, while my wife enjoyed the asparagus soup. Her filet mignon was cooked to perfection, as always, and served on this occasion with French fries (she usually orders a baked potato). For us there is no better restaurant in Estes Park th4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have gone to the DunravenWe have gone to the Dunraven for years and have never been disappointed. They have added gluten free pasta to their menu, which is a homerun for me.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWe never miss a trip to TheWe never miss a trip to The Dunraven when we are in Estes Park. It is always our special occasion go to place. The consistency of the staff is nota ble and this time we enjoyed live guitar music. Definitely the top of the list.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding Food and service!!!!!!!My wife and I had a outstanding time. The food was great and the service was excellent.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAn Italian restaurant thatAn Italian restaurant that is really nothing special, but good for a tourist town like Estes Park. Sizeable portions of average food. Canoli for dessert was very good and the service was excellent.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed DunravenThis was our first time at Dunraven. Loved it. Although it was Estes Park Restaurant Week, and they were offering a few of their Italian dishes as part of the special, we opted to order off the regular menu. We chose a baked halibut and a sirloin steak as entrees. Both were very well prepared & delicious. They happed to have a group of 48 College Students that night for a party, so it was rather loud, but fun to watch the young students all dressed up and snapping pics, etc. They were well behaved overall, so not really any issue. The staff handled that party very well, without lacking attention to the rest of the diners. We definitely will go back to Dunraven and check out some of their italian fare next time.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA bit loud, but otherwiseA bit loud, but otherwise a great place for a special evening with a special someone. The dollar-bill area (walls completely covered in dollars - about 1/3 of the restaurant area) is neat, but doesn't lend to the most romantic setting. Food is good and reasonably priced for the area.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was delicious andThe food was delicious and had that homecooked feel to it. Yum! Desserts, however, were a bit lack-luster. We had a server named Erica, who was exceptionally wonderful, which made the overall experience just great!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWONDERFUL ESTES PARK RESTAURANT!Good food and staff;reasonably priced regular menu and wine list. There was even a talented classical guitarist the night we dined, making for an enjoyable and relaxed evening. My husband and I both enjoyed two specials--my husband had the bone-in bison ribeye and I had the halibut.
My husband prepares a lot of game and said altho' the bison was tasty, he thought it had been OVER-charred on the outside and had been cooked too quickly, resulting in chewy fat on the ribeye instead of a melt-in-your-mouth juicy steak.
Fun variety of pictures of Mona Lisa throughout. We will defitely return.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have returned to the DunravenWe have returned to the Dunraven each vacation in Estes Park. It is always an excellent evening from the food to the service.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAmong the very best in townIn a town that really does not have any restaurants that can approach the excellence of the Denver dining scene, the Dunraven Inn is definitely one that is in the top handful of eating establishments to consider when visiting this area.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice restaurant, theVery nice restaurant, the waitress was awesome, and the food great. We enjoyed the live acoustic guitar as well.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe celebrated our 40th anniversaryWe celebrated our 40th anniversary at the Dunraven.
