We enjoyed our dinner at the Duck Club. The food and presentation was exceptional, service was seamless. The menu is varied with offerings from land and sea. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a special and memorable dinner.

This was our second visit, the first visit was great, so of course we returned. I had let them know in advance that it was our anniversary, but they didn't even mention it. The oysters were rank, maybe canned?!, my salad had ALOT of old lettuce and my husband said the clam chowder was not great either. He liked his chicken, but My steak was quite gristely and my sliced potatoe dish was not cooked through...crunchy potatoes anyone? I like to think this was a fluke bc we love going to the bodega bay lodge.

We were greeted warmly by the hostess and led to our table. The view of the marsh land in late twilight is soothing and a sunset dinner would have been simply outstanding. The wine list covered the basics; we opted for water instead, which required numerous reminders for refills. The menu is limited, not unexpected since they are dedicated to serving up fresh items with locally grown ingredients. Perhaps a few more vegetarian, fish options would be appreciated. Definitely NOT a child-friendly menu. I ordered the lamb shank and consider myself very knowledgeable regarding lamb....the presentation was mediocre, the taste bland. No desert. In general: OK meal, great setting, a bit pricey.

Was expecting a little more than a "Happy Birthday" from the Maitre Dee. Other restaurants give you a flower and a candle on the desert when you come on your birthday. The view was nice but the food very slow to come and the waitress too busy to pay attention to our table when she was serving a table with 5 ladies.

The Duck Club is in need of some major renovating. The lounge has a very limited wine/cocktail selection. We were there on a particularly warm day, and there is no air conditioning. There is a lovely firepit outside, but with only 6 chairs, not much of a chance of grabbing a seat. No hostess to greet or seat you. We ordered the crab cakes, which were tasty but tiny, and duck lettuce wraps which lacked flavor. Once inside the restaurant, we were met with outdated furnishings. Wait staff was prompt and friendly. We had the clam chowder which was unremarkable, and the gnocchi which was quite good (besides the undercooked mushrooms), and the fettucine with shrimp which was also good.

Great meal in a lovely spot! Really enjoyed the food and service, and the view is unbeatable. If you want something a little nicer in the area there is no other choice than the Duck Club. The bar are is great also and has a fire pit that is awesome!

With such an exquisite location and high prices we expected more from the food. Overall it was good but not great. For example, the wild king salmon was slightly overcooked, the pesto crust slightly too moist and the broccoli overpowered by whatever it was prepared in which tasted like red wine vinegar. Service was attentive once we were seated. This took a few minutes longer than we would have expected given that we had reservations.

The night started being sat at a table tucked in a corner and then forgotten. Went to ask the host to be moved and told us no. Our amazon server came and apologized and moved us and after that moment everything was delicious! If things would have happened differently with the server we would have walke out.

My fiance and I recently ate at the Duck Club recently as we were staying at the Bodega Bay Lodge to celebrate both of our October birthdays. As soon as we were seated, the Chef (I believe it was the Chef) camt to our table and both greeted us a "Happy Birthday!" Thought that was really nice. As for the food... We started off with sharing some oysters rockefeller (which was divine!). For our entrees my fiance got the got the rib-eye! and I must say it was one of thee best rib-eyes! We are both meat-eaters and it was perfectly cooked! We could come back again just for that steak. As for my entree, I had the halibut with the fettuccine noodles! That was also really good. I thought it was going to be more of a pasta dish, but they made it all about the lovely halibut. The pasta and fish were cooked perfectly and the sauce was very tasty. For dessert, we both shared the creme brullee. This is my all time favorite dessert and they nailed it also. The only thing I would say, was that our server (although very sweet), was a little slow getting our drinks and getting our check. Other than that, we would recommend this restaurant to everyone and would def come back here again.

We had a very romantic dinner at the Duck Club Restaurant. Everything was perfect! We ate near the window and caught a fantastic sunset. The waiter even welcomed us by name. (We had never been there before.) The wine and food were excellent. I would strongly recommend this restaurant for a date night outing!

Not many restaurants around this area, so this is probably near the top of the heap of what is available. Food was very good, but the service was really slow, especially from the bar, but also from a nice but inattentive waitress. I waited for 15 minutes for my original cocktail and had to flag her down to remind her I had ordered a glass of wine with the dinner. And even though it is in a nice location, it feels like a hotel dining room in terms of atmosphere.

Made reservations for an anniversary dinner and requested a quiet romantic table. Was seated at a perfect table by the window to watch the sunset. Our server was delightful and attentive. The food was really exquisite and so artfully presented. I never order pork chops but the peach chutney won us over. Never tasted such juicy, flavorful pork chops! My only complaint was I did expect a complimentary dessert from the Duck Club or something little to acknowledge and celebrate our 41st anniversary...alas, nothing came. That would have been the icing on cake...so to say. But, we will return again.

The server was curt and short, we had three good dinners and one really poor effort at a steak, thin, full of gristle, tough. There were two special events there, weddings. No one told us about that. The cheese plate we started with took 50 minutes from ordering to delivery. It is such a good restaurant usually - so sad that a waitress with a bad attitude was assigned to us - this has never happened before and we are regulars.

Arriving anytime of the year with real wood burning in the lobby fireplace, the whisper of 1000 year old redwoods, the sound of the ocean close by and the special attention given by the receptionist makes this a great beginning. The rooms overlooking the ocean are so quiet and luxurious with fireplace and extra large showers puts you ate ease. Dinner at the Duck Club is exceptional overlooking the water and fireplaces going. Sitting outside in front of the fireplace watching the sun set over the ocean is another treat to close out the day. Just Incredible. Nothing better.

Stayed at the Lodge for our anniversary. Got a nice window table with Bay view next to a rowdy birthday celebration. That's when Murphy's law started: Cocktail took over 20 minutes to arrive and only after several "reminders" to the waitress and host. Appetizers were served more than 10 minutes apart only after reminders again. Additional wine order took about 15 minutes. The food was very good overall. Host kept on coming to apologize and offered desserts as consolation. As a business owner I understand the law of Murphy, so hopefully just a hick-up. If that's the standard, I would look for new wait staff fast!

We chose to eat at the Duck Club Restaurant as we were staying at the lodge for our anniversary. The waiter was inexperienced and scarcely seen, the food was palatable, but not exceptional. Even though it was our anniversary and I had given them advance notice when I made the reservation, no special attention was given to the occasion, nor even a happy anniversary wish. The windows face a water view, and we had a decent bottle of wine which are the only positive things I can say. We were very disappointed with what should have been a special night, and we paid too much for a mediocre meal.

The restaurant had reserved a table for two by the window so enjoyed a beautiful view. Our waiter was very friendly and provided prompt but not hurried service. We shared the organic sweet salad (enough for two). My husband had the duck, I had the pork chop. Both ample and delicious. No room for dessert. A very nice, romantic evening. We would return next time in the area.

We started with Golden Hind and The Birds cocktails with the local artisan cheese platter - all excellent. Husband had soup of the day, black bean, carnitas concoction with a nice smoky flavor. My entree was very nice, a fettucine and halibut dish with light chardonnay cream sauce, baby tomatoes and baby kale. Unfortunately, husband's flat iron steak entree arrived cold (not just lukewarm, but cold). Tasty, but who wants cold steak? They did comp us a dessert when we let them know (we didn't sent it back). Wines were nice, but pricey. Service was adequate but not as competently professional as we experienced at River's End in Jenner the night before.

The corn bisque, crab cakes, salads and Liberty Duck entree, as well as the strawberry pie, were excellent. We travel extensively and often dine at very high end venues. In our reservation we had requested a table away from any service areas (high traffic, noise etc.). The maitre 'd placed us directly between the entry from the bar area and almost adjacent to the noisy kitchen entry to the dining area. My wife was unhappy and asked to be moved. The maitre 'd simply needs people skills training. Enough said. Service is a bit slow but the ambiance is such that one can tolerate it. All in all we had a splendid evening after being reseated....the absolutely excellent food overcame the personnel issue.

This is old fashioned, classic California dining. No "special effects" or weird menu items...just classic, elegant food and atmosphere! The service is impeccable and the menu very innovative but not too fussy. The Salmon was memorable...watch the rabbits from your window as you dine in elegance that was unexpected in such a causal atmosphere as Bodega.

Over rated the food just so so. Chocolate cake was yummy but not really happy with the meal. Also you need to have more than just two choices of seafood. You had only salmon and halibut. I realize it's seasonal but never missed a beat.
