The Duck Club Restaurant at the Bodega Bay LodgeCool Down from Wine CountryAfter several days in Napa, wife and I were looking to slow things down before heading home. The Duck Club capped a great trip. We had an amazing view. The service was friendly yet refined. We started with a cheese plate with local artisan cheeses and some champagne. The Cow Girl cheeses were so good, we may head to their creamery on the wat to SFO. Beet salad was pretty and tasted great. For entres, we had the halibut and salmon. I particularly like the salmon that was served on some broth with some fresh vegetables. The food was outstanding ( we had halibut and salmon with the cheese plate for dessert), service excellent and the view was incredible.

We were sat promptly by a very friendly host. She let us choose which table we would like. Soon after we had water at our table and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Best margarita I have ever had and it went very well with my pork which was amazing! My wife had the duck and it was perfect! Skin was crispy and the meat cooked perfectly through but still pink.

As a guest of the lodge the restaurant is extremely convenient. The food and view are excellent. A fire pit sits outside at one end of the restaurant and an outdoor sitting area at the other.
if there is any area where The Duck Club might improve it is i n the lounge. The bar is well run and the drinks made good, but the bar itself is a convention bar usually used in a meeting room. Wile the lounge seating was fine, I am one that likes to sit at the bar and talk with other guests and the bar tender.
