The Drawing Room is a modern American-contemporary restaurant and Culinary Cocktail lounge. At the Drawing Room, our cocktails and food share equal billing and create a dining experience that is not to be missed. The Drawing Room features a dinner menu created seasonally by Chef Nick Lacasse,… protégé of James Beard award winner Shawn McClain. The culinary cocktails are crafted by highly trained Master Bartenders and Chief Mixologist Charles Joly. At your request, your cocktail can be prepared tableside using the Drawing Room's custom built mobile bar carts. "We came to Chicago for a weekend get away and was told by some friends off the cuff to go to the drawing room. I am so happy we did! The drinks were fantastic! The waitress we had was very polite and well informed on their speciality bar. I felt like we were her only table because of how attentive she was. The food was just as fantastic as the drinks and service! The ambiance was quite and romantic. Great place to take a date or someone you want to have a convo with that doesn't require yelling over load kitchens or dining rooms. All in all I have not one negitive thing to say. We will be back!"

"Been here twice. It's a classy cocktail lounge more than it is a restaurant, although that shouldn't stop you from trying the food - the one appetizer I had was quite good. Service is fantastic - for a place with such an upscale, fine dining feel to it, everyone from the "bouncer" to the coat check lady to our waitress was polite, helpful, and smiling. Prices are not low, so I wouldn't come here for any casual night, but it's perfect for a classy night!"

"The other reviews focus on the mixed drinks and the late-night aspect. My group of 7 was there pretty early and we generally eschewed the mixed drinks. But that doesn't mean it wasn't the perfect restaurant for us. The service was outstanding. It was surpassed only by the incredible dishes. Everyone couldn't stop gushing about the how sublime the food was. Although the wine list is short, the choices were very good. We had 2 bottles of a wonderful Sangiovese."

"The food was good, but the cocktails are the real star here. First of all, they don't serve vodka! This place is legit, right down to the fact that you've never heard of anything on the cocktail menu. Never fear, they know their stuff. As a pairing to our prix fixe menu, our waitress asked if we wanted to limit any liquors on our bartender's choice pairings, and each drink was better than the next. The food sounded great and tasted fine, but did not wow.

I'd come here in the future for cocktails, then dine elsewhere."

"After reading other reviews regarding service I was concerned turns out there was no need to be, Elizabet was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. Food was better than I expected for a lounge spot with generous portions. I had the short ribs for the main and they were falling of the bone tender as they should be. Drinks were definitely unique and I enjoyed trying something different. Nice low lit lounge atmosphere."
