You can't go wrong with a mussel dinner, all choices of sauces were absolutely delicious and in true Belgian tradition, the fries for dipping were just great. Very moderately priced, so good value for money. The only negative was that we sat inside, close to the cash register and bar and had our seats knocked and bumped as the staff were moving about. If you want a quick, cheap dinner and aren't fussed about being jostled, this is a good option.

Menu selection is extremely limited. Beet salad and burger were very good. Plate presentation was excellent. Service very good. Tables are too close together... literally touching elbows with your neighbour and offering zero privacy. Patio seating looks like a better option. Fortunately, we booked at 8:30pm and crowd cleared out within 15 minutes...making the seating normal. Don't recommend dining at peak hours due to cramped seating. Overall rate this establishment at 7/10 and good for North Vancouver dining.

We are three friends from way back that get together once a year with lots to catch up on. We sat for hours and never felt rushed. The server was friendly and knowledgable. The wine from the Okanagon was delicious, as was my friends' mojitos and beer. The meatball appie was simple and good and my Croque Monsieur was a nice fun dinner. I had reserved a table inside and asked for a patio table if one came up which was not a problem. All for a reasonable price. Great meeting spot.

Went here on Saturday night for later dinner and had a reservation - didn't need it though, plenty of tables for 2 to walk in. Service was fine, polite and pretty prompt. Fries are very good but food is pretty greasy! Nice tables outside if you can get one - usually for larger parties - and bring a sweater, no heat lamps out there.

We decided to try The District for lunch had never been there before we had won a gift certificate and thought we would celebrate a Birthday Lunch we were a little taken back by the brunch menu but stayed and ordered the food was fabulous we all enjoyed it we all order different items from the menu. I would definitely go back for lunch and would now like to try the dinner menu. Will be suggesting The District to family and friends for a great lunch spot. We were surprised it wasn't busier, the service was great as well.

My husband and I used to go to The District every month or so for their breakfast. The last two times we have been have been very disappointing. We live in Coquitlam and drive to North Vancouver specifically for their buttermilk waffles. The last two times they have "ran out" even though it was very early in the day. I don't understand why they can't make more batter? Last time we were at The District (this past Sunday) there were coffee grinds in our water. I told the server this, and she didn't apologize and I had to ask for another glass of water. Very sloppy and rude. We won't be returning after this past visit. It's too bad, it used to be a good spot.

We go here often for brunch and are always disappointed to find out they have run out of their crab cake bowl. Does not matter if we get there right when they open or 15 minutes after opening. Their service has gone downhill as we sit and sit waiting for our coffee to be filled. We will not be going back here.

I have been to The District a few times now, and have enjoyed every time there. The food is delectable, the beer choices are tasty, the staff super friendly, and the atmosphere is very chill and easy going. You can go there fancy or in sweats and not be out of place. Social gatherings here are awesome as they have a huge table on one side, or you can join another group of people sitting there (like communal seating). Definitely recommend this place to my friends.

District is the perfect little brunch restaurant. All of our tables meals were tasty and a good price. The service was very good even though our waitress told us that the other waitress had not shown up and the restaurant was packed (we wouldn't of noticed if she hadn't said anything well done!) The only down side is the restaurant is a little small with limited seating and every time the front door opened we were blasted with chilly air. We will be back for sure

Really enjoyed the menu, wine, and service....all you'd want from a restaurant right? The only downside to the District is their choice of music and the level they play it at. It was some kind of electronic trance disco played at death volume...no chance of conversation, which is a major part of our dining experience.

We have arrived on Friday 2:30p.m. and were told that they only serve breakfast/lunch menu till 4:00p.m. That would be ok, except this menu is mostly breakfast items. There were some lunch choices, but alas, they were out of all of them except burger. So your choice at Friday 2:00.m. is breakfast or burger. This is a pub and I was expecting a proper pub fare.

Went early on a Tuesday evening. We had been here before and had a pretty good experience but this evening my steak was marginal and my wife's steak sandwich was cold. We sent hers back and when it returned it was still not hot. No-one seemed to care that our meals were not what one would expect. Our server did her best but no sign of a manager or a chef to apologize.

This was my first time dining here and I was pleasantly surprised. The tiny open kitchen turns out an impressive array of tasty and well executed dishes. The crab cake is chock full of real !!! crab. The roasted beet salad, the burger, the poutine were all perfectly cooked. The crème brulee cheesecake was good - not great. The wine list is small but well priced. A lovely evening out!

This was my second time at the District. I think my first visit might have set the bar too high, because I was a bit disappointed this time. I had reserved a table of 4 almost a month in advance, but they seated us right next to the door in a draft and in a main thoroughfare. They were out of lots of menu items - meatballs, quiche, certain bottles of wine, which was also a bit disappointing. Initially no one approached our table for almost 15 minutes, but after that our server was very attentive. The food was wonderful and overall we had a very nice dinner. I will be back - my first experience was so great that I think this place deserves another chance.
