The District at 410 is a unique culinary opportunity to experience North Carolina's newest aspiring chefs. This student run restaurant at the Art Institute of Raleigh/Durham offers its patrons an attractive atmosphere, as well as a menu that changes every 11 weeks with the changing of classes.

Come and experience the creations of the culinary students at the Art Institute of Raleigh/Durham in the American Tobacco Campus.

  • "The 4 of us ate 3 courses and shared each dish so a great sampling of many of the dishes. The crab croquettes were perfectly moist and loaded with delectable, fresh crab. Interesting medium sweet squash-plantain soup-multi spices- could have almost been dessert. I ordered the tuna trifecta- all 3 versions were tender flavorful and great compliment. We split the carrot bread (similar to carrot cake) & the (dark)chocolate souffle- both came with dip of home made ice cream 2 orders were plenty for the 4 of us. Both equally delicious. Wait staff was friendly, helpful & attentive. The head chef came over & talked with us briefly and shared some excellent information about the culinary program and some travel tips for wineries. Wonderful!"

  • "From beginning to end superb experience-Knowing that this is a student run facility...Waiter- extremely knowledgeable & shared about the various dishes (helped make our decision easier knowing further details), he accommodated our comments that we were going to share with bringing extra plates (we had not asked) food was hot, timely, had eye appeal and multiple delicious spices (salmon salad);the ginger-carrot dressing could have had a bit more ginger kick for my taste. Enjoyed wonderful flavor with mainly seasonal medley of veggies in the grilled wrap. strawberry drink- was thirst quenching but not taste the effervescence. All wait staff were engaged & polite; fresh tulips at tables added lovely color and enjoyed light music in backgrou"

  • "I really enjoyed the food. However, I had made a reservation that wasn't honored. I was told when I got there that the students hadn't told people they needed reservations, so they ran out of seating to accomodate those without reservations. This is not good business. So I ate on a couch and then after a while was offered a table. My meal was comped, and I only paid for my drink. While it was nice of them to do that, I would have preferred my reservation been honored. I made it 4 days in advance, and it was during my work lunch hour."
