If you are lucky enough get a table by the window, the view is beautiful. It's a big IF. The food is touted as extraordinary, but it is not. It's just another hotel dining experience. You could be anywhere.

This is a very upscale restaurant on the Biltmore Estate. The three course dinner for $58 was superb without the usual limitation of choices seen in some restaurants with a similar offering. Be careful driving out of the Inn entrance as there are blind curves from both directions. We were almost hit from both directions.

The Biltmore Estate continues to be a spectacular place to visit and the dining room at the Inn certainly keeps pace. We were treated to the summer menu from which we selected a melon appetizer and heirloom tomatoes. A salmon entree and a terrific filet entree came next. We had glasses of wine that we had tasted earlier at the Winery. Service was first rate with a head waiter who knew the menu very well. We try to have our anniversary dinner at special places and this ranked well up there for 47th. Oh yes, and the view of the forest/mountains was spectacular. Since we were not staying at the Inn, a ticket to the Biltmore estate is needed which amounts to a $50 cover charge.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Biltmore Dining Room. Service was exceptional, but friendly. Food was delicious. A wonderful dining room for a special occasion. We chose the 3 course meal and could not have eaten any more than that. Portions were just the right size - not over powering.

By far the most annoying part of this meal was how long it took. We were there for over three hours and most of our part of 6 had no more than 5 courses (some had less). The dining room was dark but the view was very nice. Very limited options on the menu. There were two vegans in our party and the waiter and chef were completely lost preparing suitable meal for them. The portions were incredibly small. The vegan food had no taste (I guess they were lost without relying on butter, cream or cheese). This restaurant seemed to think a lot of itself. We didn't think much of it.

We stayed at the Inn at Biltmore for 2 nights, so decided to try the dining room to complete our "Biltmore" experience. We weren't disappointed. We have eaten at many highly rated restaurants and the food, ambience, view, and service here was nothing short of excellent. The cost for a 3-course prix fix was about $60 which for a resort destination like the Biltmore was not bad. They were accommodating with special requests and it was elegant without being stuffy or pretentious. The wine selection by the glass included only Biltmore wines, but there was a large selection of bottles of all types of wine; however, with all the by the glass options, it was possible to find a decent choice. Overall an excellent dining experience.

You can't get much classier than this restaurant with top-notch service from beginning to end. The food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. If you're lucky, you can get a table with a view of the Biltmore grounds. I had the best onion soup I've ever tasted. I do wish there were a few more choices for the entree, though. You need to dress appropriately for this restaurant and remember that you have to have a pass to get on the Biltmore Estate grounds, so you may want to plan it the same day as your tour. Of course, guests at the Inn don't have to pay for a pass.

Our server, Hank, was outstanding and made us feel like we were the only couple in the place. We are already planning a return trip and am telling colleagues about the venue, and the staff! Fantastic food, wine, and view. From Bison to scallops, we had wonderful meals.

The Dining Room at the Biltmore Estate is an elegant locations for a wonderful dinner or special occasion. This was our first visit and we ended our visit to Asheville with tour with this dinner. The ambiance and service are extraordinary. We had the three course meal that included an appetizer, entree and dessert, along with a lovely wine selection that perfectly with our meal. I chose the sea scallops and my fiancee had the bison. Both of us were extremely pleased with our selections, the preparation, flavor and presentation were all amazing. One of the pleasant surprises was the chocolate pate for dessert. While is may sound a bit strange it was a delightful dense mousse with a cream cheese ice cream....just astounding!

Took my wife here for a romantic night out. We ordered the 5 five course meal. The courses were timed well and everything was quite good. The only draw back between this restaurant and others in the fine dining category was the service staff. The staff seem to be very stuck in a script. Not much of a personal touch that I was hoping for. But the food was worth the trip.

My wife and I are celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and we wanted to go somewhere special for dinner. We chose the Dining Room at the Biltmore Inn and it did not disappoint. The food was prepared and served to perfection. The appetizers offered on the menu were most unusual, but the ones we selected were quite delicious. The bison tenderloin was tender and tasty and one of those choices you just don't find everywhere. Our waiter was knowledgable, congenial and very attentive. The portions were just right and left us with plenty of room for the fabulous dessert.

We specifically came to the Dining Room expecting a standout meal. It was only average. The wine list although extensive was not diverse enough for our taste. For example there were no New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. We were not guest at the hotel, so we had to pay an admission fee to the Biltmore House grounds to enjoy our dinner reservations. The Biltmore House tour was outstanding! So all in all, we had a very good experience. But, we would not recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I celebrated our 12th anniversary at The Dining Room. We'd originally had reservations at the Sunset Terrace at the Grove Park Inn but were turned off by poor reviews. So we booked our dinner here instead. Best. Possible. Decision. Karen served us and was absolutely outstanding. We've never experienced service like that. Watching the sun set on the Blue Ride Mountains as we ate was stunning. And the food was perfect in every single way. We opted for the three course meal. I had the seafood tomato bisque and filet, and my wife had the spinach appetizer and filet as well. The portions, temperatures, timing, and overall experience were perfect. Karen recommended the chocolate pate for dessert, and we are so glad she did. 5+ stars.
